  1. Hey. I just tried to buy our Stay and Scream tix online, but it won't let me check out unless I buy a normal day pass for the same day in conjuction with the Stay and Scream ticket. Bummer! Since we get our tickets as part of this package deal, I guess we'll have to chance it and try to get them "day of". I hope it's not sold out!
  2. Hey! These 2 videos may help answer any questions you have about Oktoberfest. If not, feel free to ask them again here!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8eRRLjM_1c
  3. Riding the Twin Peaks slide was the first time in a LOOOONG time that I literally got that "I could possibly die or get seriously injured" feeling that is so much fun.
  4. It's Bobby Brown!!! Yes, like 1989 Bobby Brown.
  5. Unfortunately, I don't think we can do Stay and Scream because we basically already have our daytime tickets. They are included with our package deal that we got from RCCL. Is there a way to make it work that we don'T have to leave the park and then re-enter anyways?
  6. The ship we're going to be on, (Monarch of the Seas), was built in 1991! Does that mean it also won't have stabilizers and pods and whatnot???
  7. Thanks guys. This is helpful. I'm excited, too! If you want to share any other useful info for HHN virgins, feel free!
  8. We just booked a trip to Orlando over the Halloween weekend, (together with a Royal Caribbean cruise), and I'm totally stoked to finally experience HHN! As embarrassing as it is, the only Halloween park event I've ever been to was at Chessington's World Of Adventures way back in like 1995.... Anyways, I have some questions for any experienced HHN goers: 1) We will be in Orlando October 29th- November 1st. Which night will likely be the least crowded? We'll be in the parks all day anyways, so we will use the nighttime just to do the special HHN stuff. 2) Our normal park passes are included in our package price. Where is the best place to buy HHN tickets, and is it necessary to get them in advance? 3) Is it realistic to think we can experience all of HHN in one night? Thanks for your help!
  9. OK, We're booked and I'm psyched! Now I have another question for anyone interested: 1) I usually have a bottle of water with me at all times that I just fill up at taps along the way. Can you drink the tap water in Nassau and on Coco Cay? If not, is the bottled water package offered by the ship (approx $28 for 8 bottles plus 15% gratuity) the best option, or is it better to just buy bottles on land?
  10. Checking out the package.... Is it just me, or is the particular individual in the white t-shirt totally checking out John Pagal's package?
  11. Dude, thanks so much for all your insight! I thought of a few more questions for you, (or anyone else who cares to answer). 1) Dinner times. We will want to see the musical shows every night, so how does that work with dinner? I've read about assigned dinner times, and that we will be put at a table with strangers. I would rather we just sat alone (2 of us) and how can I be sure to get to the shows if they assign us a late dinner time? 2) When we're on Coco Kay, are the restaurants/BBQ on the island also included in the price?
  12. I'm so glad I found this thread! We're planning our first cruise with a US/IOA and RCCL package the last week of October. If we decide to do it, we would be on the RCCL Monarch of the Seas, which is like the oldest ship of their fleet. Anyone have any experience on that ship? (We were originally trying to get on the Freedom of the Seas, but the timing just didn't work out for that itinerary). Our only ports of call would be Coco Cay and Nassau. I've read the previous posts about Nassau and Atlantis, but I still have some questions. 1) Besides booking a hotel room at Atlantis or the neighbouring hotels, is there ANY way to get into the waterpark for cheaper than $110?!?! Gosh, that is so rediculous! Like, can I sit through a timeshare presentation or something for comps??? Sacrifice my first born, perhaps? 2) Does it cost to get into the casino, and are the drinks free like in Vegas? 3) Am I wrong, or is there basically nothing to do in Coco Cay but beach and water activities? Also, I've never been on a cruise, so I'm not sure about the following things. When we're on the ship, I understand that the main meals are free, and alcoholic drinks cost extra. A) If I'm sitting by the pool on the ship in the afternoon and get hungry for like, a slice of pizza or an ice cream, is there someplace to get that, and is that also included in the price? B) What are the drink prices like? Is it like airport prices, or more reasonable? Despite being like the oldest ship and the lamest ports, I'm still excited for the experience, AND we will be at Universal for HHN over Halloween! Thanks anyone for your help!
  13. I TOTALLY missed that there was a log flume at that fair. Guess I stayed in the beer tent too long..
  14. Yes, that's what I was talking about.
  15. Just wanted to vent really quick. I brought my little brother and a friend of his to Heide park yesterday, and although we still managed to have a good time, there was a lot of badness happening. First of all, the first 3 drops of Colossos now have trims!?!?! How long have they been there? I didn't notice much of a difference in the ride experience, but I was so suprised to see them! The park was very crowded, and there was chaos everywhere. Lines spilling out into the midway, trash laying around everywhere. Rude and lazy ride-ops, one train operations on coasters with over an hour wait times, constant stacking on Colossus, and just a general decline in the goodness I've experienced on my last visits. Has anyone else had a similar experience recently?
  16. Wow, we didn't have horses on our bed in Europa Park, did we Robin? You were big pimpin!
  17. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/image016_6.jpg Thanks for the great picture! Can someone please photoshop some more hair on my head? At least there is some cleavage close by to distract from my ever growing forehead Divv, you are hilarious! Reading your TR has made me wish we had more time at Moviestudios. I left soon after the kiddie coaster opened because I really was looking forward to the waterpark, (which was also reeeeeally great). I guess I'll be doing a Gardaland/Moviepark trip next summer, too. Bruno, we're coming!
  18. This has been an extremely entertaining PTR! You are very adventurous! Or maybe just crazy. I'm not quite sure yet. Are you coming back through Hamburg on your way to Hansa Park, for example? If you need any help planning anything or advice on what to do or where to go in Germany, just let me know. Looking forward to more craziness.
  19. Thanks for the memories, Divv! I strongly agree with you on the following formula: Italy = Hot. Italian water rides = Dry. Why???
  20. I got several rides in on both sides during ERT and I found no noticible difference in roughness on either side. Then again, it was the last morning of the trip and I was so sleep deprived and sluggish that I may have just been numb to it! I didn't see the dragon breathe any fire the entire time we were there. It was moving it's head and smoke was coming out of it's nose, though. I did see the water splash a few times in the morning and really loved it. It totally suprised me the first time it was timed just right on the ride. Overall, it's a really fun, fast paced ride! It's got enough laterals and negative g's to make it a great woodie, but is smooth and "friendly" enough to be able to ride it all day. I really like that the first few drops and bunny hops are straight forward and not turning. I wish GCI would add more straight drops and straight hills to their designs
  21. Back home! Wow, it was great to go through all these pics and re-live the memories again. Thanks Hawaiian Mike for the great shot of me failing at the donkey. The group shot turned out well, after we got that woman out of the way! Hilarious. And thanks to the Alvey's and everyone else involved for such a memorable trip! I can't wait for everyone elses PTRP's and stuff!
