  1. Cool photos. That ride looks badass, and I can't wait to ride it. And I loved the "signature shot" comment! dt
  2. Robb's wings are GODLY! He should bottle that hot sauce and sell it, since not only is it tasty on wings, but you could use it to melt tree stumps in your yard, or unclog pipes. The party kicked ass. R&E go all out to provide a kickass event. Hope everyone had a good time, and I enjoyed meeting a bunch of you. Hope I wasn't too dull... dt
  3. The Kumali constructino video kicks much ass. As always, whenever Robb sings, it is quality entertainment! dt
  4. My problem comes in when parks like Cedar Point use arbitrary rules that keep a lot of people from riding a ride that they could ride if common sense rules were inforced. If you can get the belt fastened on MF, you should be able to ride. Using some sort of "2 inch" slack rule makes no sense. Belts either fasten or they don't. I think it's good that some B&M rides have the "big" seats. People that need these are not necessarily obese, but may have certain body proportions that keep them from fitting comfortably in the regular seats. dt
  5. Yell real loud, Mary might here you over in France! The UK rocks. Can't wait to get back over there... dt
  6. I've lived in both places, and the East crushes the west coast both in quality and quantity of coasters. dt
  7. And here I thought this thread was going to be about American Idol... dt
  8. The Hulk cannot be the lamest superhero ever, since Aquaman exists. What would you rather be able to do, toss tanks around like they're made of paper, or talk to fish? Case closed! Keep posting the pics. And try not to break Florida before I get there in a few weeks... dt
  9. That was a kickass report. I did something similar last year, when I went with Mary to a conference in Orlando. The official hotel was the Dolphin, so while she was at the conference, I could go to the park. It was spring break, and the parks were insane, but I decided to have fun and see if I could fit all four parks in one day. I did, only because I used my "walk fast and walk around people" technique. And how can you not like Dinosaur?!? It is the greatest trainwreck of a ride in park history. It's so dumb it's actually entertaining. I can't wait to ride it again... dt
  10. One word: Knoebel's. Best park ever. I could go there and do nothing but ride the Phoenix a couple of times and eat some food, and have a great time. dt
  11. Never had any, never wanted any. Neither did Mary. One of the many reasons I married her. As I've said many times, if you have cats and want to go away for the weekend, you can put down a bowl of food and water, and have a good time. If you have kids, and you do the same thing, guys from the government come to your house and yell at you. Who needs that?!? dt
  12. I won't see these for awhile, as we're saving the episodes on the DVR until Mary returns from France at the end of the month, but let me just say that without seeing a second of it, I can safely proclaim that it IS BETTER THAN LAST SEASON! At least we won't have to worry about the family edition ever making another appearance... dt
  13. Scorpions - Send Me An Angel dt
  14. OK, who's up for a side trip to the Jesus Coffee Shop?!? That looks awesome. Who knew Jesus liked a good latte... dt
  15. I totally forgot all about that! I'm amazed Robb & Joey lived through that... dt
  16. There's a Holiday Inn right off the same exit as SFMM that's nice. I'd recommend that. Knott's area, I'm not sure about, since I haven't stayed down there since 2001. A lot of the hotels across the street seemed like dumps, but there might be a nicer place a few blocks away. dt
  17. The Twenty or First Look or whatever the current name is really annoying. Actually, any of these "pre-show entertainment" offerings are annoying. Does AMC still pollute the theater with Movie Tunes before the show? Yuck. We rarely go to the movies any more. Between all the commercials, out of focus picture, sound from a system that might have come from a dumpster behind WalMart, and all the annoying jackasses that cannot shut up when a movie is on, I'd rather stay at home. Plus the popcorn is cheaper... dt
  18. Used to go hiking/camping, but haven't done it in years. Mary is afraid of camping! White water rafting rules. Haven't done that in awhile either, but I think we'll go on a short trip this year. At least that's in the plans... dt
  19. If you have time to do all of that, then you have time to add a blog to that 41190 web site. Get cracking!!! dt
  20. So now I'm going to have a nail gun or stapler used on me? This sounds a lot like my first marriage... Dave "at least I'll be getting paid" Thomas
  21. Interesting interview. One thing I'd like to see addressed is security at parks. One of the things I think keeps families away is the perception that these parks are not safe. At some SF parks, especially on a weekend, line jumping and obnoxious behavior is rampant. I'm curious to see if they will do anything to change this... dt
  22. ^Well then, the Give Dave Money idea has new life! Any theme is cool. It should be a good time no matter what. Especially if Robb makes wings! Dave "mmmm...wings" Thomas
  23. That is so cool. As many people as Jack Bauer has killed on that show, you'd think there would be less traffic in LA... dt
  24. And here I thought the theme would be Dave Is In California And We All Have To Give Him Money! That theme would kick ass. Ah well, I guess Elissa's birthday would be OK... Dave "you can all still give me money" Thomas
  25. Tigger Terror!!! Hey, it was my #200! Dave "loves crappy milestone credits" Thomas
