  1. Awesome update, made even more awesome by the GIANT CHICKEN! That was the most randomly bizarre thing I've seen in quite some time. Where the hell is that? I need to see that for myself in August... dt
  2. Ted pretty much covered the rides, though I'd add The Whip to that list. For food, don't miss the chicken fries and carmel corn. Oh, the milkshakes they serve at the soft ice cream place RULE! Don't miss out on those. dt
  3. Starbreaker - Die For You dt
  4. Ride Quality - How good is the whole ride? Does it consistantly deliver? Operations - How well does the park run the ride? Setting/Location - Does the ride look nice? Is it in a decent park? For the longest time, Phoenix was my favorite coaster because it always delivers a great ride, the operations are excellent, it looks great, and is in one of the best parks ever. A ride that is fun but features five minute+ dispatches and/or is in a park where you feel that you may actually come away with the plague is not going to get ranked as high, at least for me. dt
  5. This place looks AWESOME! I think I know where the first ever TPR US trip needs to go... dt
  6. This may be the greatest image ever posted on this site. Well, other than Dio. Guy rules!!! dt
  7. That was an awesome day at Great Adventure. I'll have to check out my pics and see if any of them look good. I can't wait to ride El Toro! dt
  8. That was still the best trip ever to Orlando! I need to post my pics at some point... dt
  9. Instead of drywall, it should be Dio. dt
  10. Awesome photo TR! That park looks like amazing fun. Looking forward to the next installment... dt
  11. Hershey is a great park. It's really nice, clean, well run, and has a nice collection of rides. Storm Runner is the best ride there, but all the coasters are fun. You'll have a good time. I haven't been there in two years or so, but need to make the trip back at some point, as it's not that far from where I live. dt
  12. Cool TR. The Magic Castle ROCKS! I haven't been there in a very long time, but used to go a lot when we lived in Glendale (we shared a house with two people that were magicians). Desperado was pretty rough the last time I rode it about six years ago, so I can only imagine how bad it is now. dt
  13. Wow, lots of really good pictures! After seeing all of the photos over the last couple of months, and hearing Guy's description of the ride last week, I'm really curious to ride Tatsu now. Maybe some time in the fall... dt
  14. I think this is bad news. Competition is a good thing, and this eliminates some of that. I think Knott's and Dorney have gotten worse under the control of CF. And more parks selling the swill that is Pepsi is ALWAYS bad!!! What "experts" think the Beast is the best coaster in the US? Brake manufacturers?!? Another reason why those Golden Ticket awards really need to be sent to people that have actually left the state of Ohio. The "we're getting a hyper!" theory is so silly. I remember this phrase being tossed around when CF took over Michigan's Adventure, like it was a done deal. So much for that theory... dt
  15. As a resident of Maryland, I can proudly say that Ocean City is a dump! I haven't been there in a very long time, and from the looks of it from your photos, it will be a long time until I get back there. Your photos were entertaining, as always. I especially liked the Derek step... dt
  16. 24 is not about realistic storytelling. 24 is about Jack Bauer yelling at people, shooting them, and snapping random folks necks. In other words, quality TV entertainment! Mary and I love this show, as it's an hour to yell at the TV and laugh. Monday night is a godly night of TV with the finale of 24 and the series ending episode of Alias, one of our other favorite shows. dt
  17. Yeah, I figured the place was doomed when it closed a few years back. I never made it there, so I guess I missed out on a good ride. Ah well... dt
  18. Good job taking all those Deja Vu pics! Are there not some line jumpers for that security guard to be yelling at? Seems like some priorities are screwed up there. SFGAm is a great park. I don't get Wizzer either, so don't feel bad. Derek and I did have a good time on it making R. Kelly jokes the entire time, though. Bull is also pretty weak, and probably my least favorite B&M hyper. Viper kicks much ass, and I'd love to be at the park on a dead day to get lots of rides on it. dt
  19. Looks cool. Let me know what you think of it, as I've been thinking of getting one. dt
  20. B&H is a great store. Mary orders all her photography gear from there. If you're ever in NYC, check out the store, as it's pretty cool. dt
  21. If you keep that up, the site will go so fast that it will break the internet. And that could be bad... dt
  22. For what it's worth, the site seems a LOT faster now. Not sure if it's the new server, less people on the site, or the fact that Wes posted a picture of Dio and made everything better, but it does seem more responsive. dt
  23. Thanks for the update. Wow, that was something I thought would never be open again. Nice to see the Sky Tower open... dt
  24. Thanks for the cool update. It's really interesting how it looks like Sony has failed to impress just about anyone with the PS3. If the Wii actually has the rumored under $300 price point, they'll sell a ton of them. I'm getting closer to picking up a 360, as some of the games coming look great, but the new Nintendo machine will likely also end up in my collection. And I remember almost all of those old handheld games! I had a ton of those at one point. That looked like a cool display... dt
