  1. I've gone in with bottled water before and had no issues getting in with them.
  2. I was also just thinking this. I don't think valleyfair will because I believe that's national roller coaster day! Why wouldn't they do it on the same day as many of the other Cedar Fair Parks? If they are already announcing at those on National Roller Coaster Day, then why wouldn't they at Valleyfair!? No coaster coming? That wouldn't make a difference.
  3. I was never impressed with them when they were here in FL. There is a smaller family owned chain in NC called What-A-Burger that puts those Whataburgers to shame. It's more like Sonic, but still has an old school feel.
  4. Actually it would fit. Those plots are about the same size, with Sideshow Spin's being a little bigger. I think one would be a big hit at Dollywood. The one at Wild Adventures is the only "frisbee" type ride I've been on so far and loved it (and I don't generally like spinning rides).
  5. Universal is DEAD to me now... (I don't give a &$%^ about Harry Potter.
  6. They also refurb rides for parks. They did the troika for Dorney as well.
  7. It's definitely there at Most Amusement RIdes. https://www.facebook.com/MostAmusementRides/posts/2332104253681397:0
  8. In case anyone wanted to know (and hadn't seen it mentioned it in the Track Spottings! thread), Boomerang is over in The Netherlands being refurbished by Most Amusement Rides. Doubt it will show back up at a CF park, but they are also the company who refurbed the troika for Dorney Park (which I believe was already in Europe). https://www.facebook.com/MostAmusementRides/posts/2332104253681397:0
  9. I have a niece and nephew who live in Effingham County (NW of Savannah) and they go back August 3rd. Another nephew lives in Bryan County (1 county south of Savannah) and they go back August 7th. They all get out May 23rd. Cobb (the one he mentions) starts the July 31st (last day May 23) and Fulton starts Aug 7th (last day May 24). That does seem quite early. The schools where I live (Gainesville, FL) start back August 14th.
  10. 1: Mystery Mine 2: Flight Of Fear (KD) 3: Loch Ness Monster 4: Mind Bender (SFOG) 5: Revenge Of The Mummy (USF) 6: Tennessee Tornado 7: Big Bad Wolf (RIP) 8: Cobra's Curse 9: Firechaser Express 10: Expedition Everest
  11. OWA officially opened today! [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] www.al.com/news/mobile/index.ssf/2017/07/alabamas_newest_amusement_park.html
  12. The only parks I've been to in recent years where groupers were present have been Carowinds (@ Intimidator & Fury 325)and SeaWorld Orlando (@ Mako). I have been able to request my seat and get it all but once since those rides opened. The one time I didn't get it was on one of my Fury 325 rides in 2015 where they were a lot more strict on seat requests. I usually go to parks when I know they aren't going to be very busy, so that's why I hadn't had to deal with it at any other parks. I'll be going to KI for the first time next year and won't hesitate to ask. Just be really nice and there's no need to be scared...lol
  13. Cedar Fair: Fury 325 SeaWorld Parks & Ent.: Mako Six Flags: Goliath (SFOG) Herschend: Thunderhead Universal: Dragon Challenge (HH) Disney Parks: Expedition Everest Independent: White Lightning (Fun Spot America Orlando)
  14. ^&^^They have it on Montu & SheiKra at BGT as well. It may have been on Kumba, but I didn't notice since there was no wait...lol If not they will likely add them when they close for maintenance next month.
  15. ^^It would be built into the calendar and show as closed that day. I know a company (BMW I think) would rent out Carowinds for a day for it's employees and it would show up as closed on the parks calendar on their website. Other parks have had things like this, and they also announce well in advance on various social media sites.
  16. Season Pass sales for 2018 have not yet started. All the passes, including platinum, on KBF online are good until December 31, 2017. They aren't good for one year from the date of purchase like some other parks. I don't believe the passes for 2018 go on sale until mid-late August at the earliest around announcement season.
  17. I don't know what it would cost today, but here's an article from 2010 where it cost $550,000. www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-sdge-gas-co-knotts-berry-farm-for-day-2010aug31-story.html
  18. At least they provided a source in the repost...not that it would be too hard to figure out...but anyways. 28 feet taller would be nice.
  19. I would say no for Apollo. Not sure about the others you mentioned. It depends on body shape (especially thigh area). They may be able to ride Griffon or Alpengeist depending on their chest dimensions.
  20. I had an odd dream last night regarding Busch Gardens Tampa. In the dream: I was leaving the parking lot by making a right on McKinley (towards Adventure Island). As I was passing Adventure Island, I noticed the grassy overflow lot in front had been dug up and piles of dirt everywhere. Sticking above the dirt piles was some Intamin track being installed (not for storage). It looked to be for a Giga that was going to hop over McKinley from inside the park. I was so excited. I was riding with someone and was wanting to take pics, but couldn't go back for some reason. I was like I have to get pics to share and tell the world. I was so frustrated and was about to jump out of the car to run back. Then I woke up to my cat rubbing my hand because she was ready to eat. Damn cat...lol
