  1. ^That seems to be a plague around here. I always give the link where I get pictures from in addition to the name/website & the pic unless I personally took it.
  2. The only reason I can see a park not allowing re-entry with season pass parking is people cheating the system. Basically one person shows pass when parking. Then a friend/family needs parking and you get in their car from a pickup point and get them free parking too. Same could apply if you didn't have a season pass and just paid for parking and gave someone your receipt (which I assume would have a time on when it was bought). Does Knott's scan the pass at the toll booth or do you just show it? I honestly can't remember what they did at Carowinds last time for comparison. I know SeaWorld & Busch Gardens scans so it would have a time listed/receipt if you entered already making it to where you couldn't just hop in another car and come right back in and use again within a certain time frame. BTW I'm not condoning anyone try to cheat the system. Just pointing out reasoning why some places may operate like they do.
  3. ^No prob. No need to feel like an idiot. It seems like they hide it in there on purpose...lol
  4. You're comparing a ride that has been open for 13+ seasons to a ride that has been open 1.5. That's a pretty uneven comparison. The Vertigo they are talking about this: Vertigo @ Walabi Belgium Not the Vekoma inverted boomerang
  5. You have to actually select tickets and start the process of buying daily tickets to see it. It will ask the # of times you plan to visit & how many guests before you get to the screen with these options: HOWEVER...FYI if you plan on going ON OR BEFORE June 30th and prefer more time in the park, tickets are only $45 for all day (Everybody Pays Kid's Prices option) vs. the $41 After 4pm/twilight ticket.
  6. Being the tallest, longest and fastest doesn't make rides the best. That's a matter of perspective...and highly of opinion. IMO currently Fury 325 is the best. It's the tallest giga/traditional lift in the world, fastest (with traditional lift) & longest steel coaster in the western hemisphere. Some others prefer rides like Maverick...which is none of those, but I'm sure is a great ride. I'll find out for myself next year to compare.
  7. ^They're probably keeping the station. If it's not broke, why fix it and incur further unnecessary costs. They may get some sort of tax break for re-purposing the station. I will agree it's kind of...unattractive these days (as is @ Carowinds). It fit well with the Wayne's World theme as a studio. Hopefully they will dress it up to fit with whatever they do.

  9. ^I would say that's likely the earliest it will open. They still have more to do you can't see then test.
  10. Hmmmm...Pretty bad when I'm actually glad to have Antarctica instead of this...lol
  11. I know you asked the other person, but this is the quickest and least nauseating way to get to Carowinds from Dollywood (and actually the route they suggested as well). The link has the full directions: https://goo.gl/maps/CGeaXxGrmgH2 While the directions above will take you through elevation changes and have some ups and downs through the mountains, it will be more gradual than any other way and is mostly interstate. The other main way is taking US 441 (Newfound Gap Road) through the Smokys to Cherokee. That road, while scenic, isn't for those who get queasy. It's very curvy and the elevation rises from about 1,289 feet in Gatlinburg, up to 5,049 feet at Newfound Gap....and then back down on the way to Cherokee. Personally I have no issues going that way, but could be intimidating for those with weak stomachs.
  12. Enjoying the report so far. I've even learned something: there are no Walgreens stores within a reasonable distance of the park (closest is in Norwalk). So now I know if I need something specific from that store to bring it with me or stop at one well before I get to Sandusky on my first trip next year. Otherwise there is Walmart (since I rarely go to CVS)...lol
  13. This was posted in the CGA thread, but likely would have interest here as well for those not following that one.
  14. I didn't realize you could buy it online to use for a later time. Good to know. I've already set several reminder alarms so I don't forget. I have some family coming down to go to SeaWorld in September and they wanted to do Fun Spot so I let them know too. Win Win!
  15. Yes...a whoring credit to some, but yes... (I'm a bit of a whore about these things myself...so I'd go for it)
  16. LOL. That would be great though, but I never been to Seaworld San Antonio before. Orlando in 2011, and San Diego (HOPEFULLY) in 2018 for a first visit. This has been on my bucket list for quite some time, and with Wave Breaker opening this year I think I should make that journey. *pun not intended* I would suggest you wait until Wave Breaker has been "broke in" a little bit and running consistently. While I'm sure the park is great without it, if you're going specifically for it, you will be disappointed if it's not in operation the day you go.
  17. ^May as well stay an extra day and so SF Fiesta Texas if it's in your budget.
  18. ^^They recently had it pointed at Carolina Harbor for a couple days, but was likely due to Flying Cobras having valleyed. That was more so tilting up and zooming in, not turning the cam left or right however. On to the real issue: Do I count it as a new credit if they do convert when I go next year? LOL (obviously most wouldn't...I probably wouldn't either)
  19. The webcam that was showing County Fair is now pointed at Vortex. Floorless conversion confirmed... (lol)
