  1. I would say this is a very hard thing to avoid in this day and age with internet access pretty much everywhere and available literally at your fingertips 24/7 for most. When you follow forum/fan sites & can watch POVs on Youtube, it makes many of us extremely curious about every little detail about upcoming rides and other parks. Before such a time however the big ones that come to mind are: *The Big Bad Wolf [RIP] (in 1997). Went counter-clockwise at the park so only saw the station area before riding. *Mindbender @ SFOG (in 1998). The trees hid a good bit from inside the park. *Flight Of Fear @ KD (in 1998). Since it's enclosed I had no idea what it was I was getting on at the time...lol *Grizzly @ KD (in 1998). It was pretty hidden by trees back then. *Apollo's Chariot (opening year). At the time the only thing I remember seeing before getting on was the lift hill.
  2. Latest video update from the park's Facebook page confirms the trains will be arriving within the next week. [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]Fun Spot America on Facebook
  3. ^I didn't either. I usually just hit print screen and open up paint & paste (still good if I'm going to crop). Good to know this now.
  4. I want White Lightnin' back (Golden Loop for those who don't know what I'm talking about). It was removed before I had a chance to ride it at Carowinds. Seriously though, the park looks great and the ride is being taken care of quite well since it's still in operation. Maybe I'll get a chance to go one day.
  5. Cheetah Hunt....Love the ride...hate the name.
  6. Falcon's Fury @ BGT is my current favorite. Freefall that was at SFOG was when it was still around.
  7. ^I believe Friday will be better than on Monday crowd-wise.
  8. ^Seems like kind of a toned-down night-time version of the Food & Wine Festival (without the concerts). Hey if it brings more people in. I know the festival seems to be a hit so why not? I understand yes it's more adult-centered. They should have something more for the under 21 crowd since this likely does nothing for you or anyone else I know around your age.
  9. ^^Mako's restraints are basically like Nitro's. I know some people can fit in some of the B&M hypers, but not others. It's weird. It's really body shape and not waist size that determines whether someone will fit or not. Kraken has "big boy" seats on certain rows and Manta should be fine.
  10. Turn It Up! premiers this Friday as part of Summer Nights Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on Facebook Speaking of Summer Nights: Summer Nights 2017 @ Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
  11. It does say when you go to the rider height & safety guide: Same manufacturer...different layout (Compact Park model).

  13. ^Looks promising for the most part. Pretty average for this time of year there (the weekend anyway). There's always a chance of passing thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Since they are forecast for Saturday evening all should be good if you're there early that day.
  14. Many parks have education days in late April and during May on weekdays. Some days have more show up than others. It's been like that for years.
  15. Fun Spot in Kissimmee in September So far nothing else planned until then. This will be the first time at that location (I go to Orlando's a few times a year). I really didn't have a desire to visit that one until Mine Blower was announced. I may do the Slingshot next door as well as I've never been on one.

  17. It won't be long before that barrel roll soars over the station... (Pic from the Park's Facebook Page)
  18. ^^You won't need quick queue most likely. Both parks should both be manageable those days. However if there are school groups there, you can determine at that point if you need them. I wouldn't buy them in advance. I've never needed one in the 10 years I've been going....on a weekday.
  19. Unless they've added any new of those storage things that you pay for this year, the only coaster that had them was Fury 325. The rest of the rides have bins available in the station.
