What? I think they're referring to Wild Adventures, which keeps the locals happy I suppose.

It's closed because it's getting the trains from Greezed Lightning at KK. I was just stating it was also closed that particular day and could have contributed to the wait times at other rides.

With colleges starting back around the country, it could be a staffing issue as well.

I can see this being sent to Wild Adventures. It won't get me back there (and it's the closest park to me), but I think it would work out there just fine with it's more family lineup.

I personally think that area needs a good flat ride package of some sort. Something similar to BGW's Da Vinci's Garden of Inventions. I love the park, but it really is lacking in flat rides. They could still put in a compact style coaster (like a Premier Sky Rocket II which has been rumored since before Cobra's Curse). Of course I'd love a nice hyper or giga, but there are other places they can put that (like the station in Tidal Waves spot running back to the retention ponds).

No. It would not be available to use until opening day 2018. You do get one free visit at KD this year if you don't already have a pass this year or a free fast lane to use before the end of this season. EDIT Add-on: One way around that would be buying your Platinum Pass through Carowinds and use your one free visit there. The only thing is your home park would be Carowinds, but you would still have all the Platinum benefits at all Cedar Fair Parks. (This won't work if you're renewing or upgrading a current pass I believe.)

The park is closed in November. It's open the week of Thanksgiving. Nov 18-26 from 1PM-9PM (til 10 on Saturdays)

Those restraints are horrific. One and done a few years ago for me which is unfortunate because it was actually a decent little ride. What's crazy is Swamp Thing at Wild Adventures has the same trains as Flying Ace Aerial Chase, but was a lot more comfortable when I rode it (well that was 5 years ago...but it was then...lol). I had no head banging. They even run it through twice unless there is a line for it. I think Carowinds should take this opportunity to get a new train(s) in the process of re-theming the ride. Will they? Probably not...lol

That is very wishful thinking. Where a Giga or Hyper could go without completely destroying the theming in the park is pretty non existent. This is likely why they went with a coaster that fit in the footprint of Boomerang and Riptide and didn't stretch out like they did with Silver Bullet. I know many Knott's purists still gripe about that. Of course there are some griping about this addition thinking they should get more family attractions. (Just observations I've seen in some Knott's groups & comments on FB and elsewhere...lol)

Wow...I cannot wait to see the next teaser. If it has anything to do with DC Super Friends or Bugs Bunny, you will get the gold star for detective work! I have to believe that in the board room, they know us 'enthusiasts' know good and well what's coming next year but that won't stop them from messing with us a bit! I don't think you got what they were saying. They were saying the things they were showing in the video are of things they have ALREADY put in the park since 2014; not what is coming.

Nope. I think that wood is going to come down and used for firewood...what's left of it. That's just my opinion however. I know there are plenty that think it's still possible. I'm not holding my breath or anything, even though I'd love an RMC creation at my home/favorite park.
