  1. Well nevermind about the moving platform. They will still likely be assigning seats to keep the line moving.
  2. It shows as $71.99 when I looked it up. It still comes to $385.15 with tax. Welcome to Spring Break in Florida.
  3. Since there is a moving platform, seats will be assigned to keep the line moving. There wouldn't be any rows to stand in. They do this with Cobra's Curse at BGT.
  4. Yes there will be a hotel (whether or not the permit on the page before is for this or not, I'm not sure of). From that article:
  5. ^I'm able to see/get to it just fine. (this one includes all 6 Flags outdoor parks in addition to home park) https://www.sixflags.com/overtexas/store/membership Then there is the one park or 2 park gold pass as well: https://www.sixflags.com/overtexas/store/season-passes
  6. ^There also currently no Florida resident deals on daily tickets either. They may introduce those later on by summer if they do this year. If I weren't already a pass member, then I likely wouldn't be paying that much for one day either.
  7. I don't believe Carowinds (or CF for that matter) are going to go with a launched RMC anytime soon. With it being relatively close to Dollywood, I don't see the point (same with a Wing Coaster). I could see them going with Gerstlauer (launched Infinity), Premier or Mack who seem to be more reliable as of late. And of course who wouldn't want an Intamin Blitz (my preference for a launch)? I guess we'll find out in the next few months what's coming when the signs are more telling. Still believe however this will be GCI.
  8. I don't care much for rides that go round and round (I get nauseous on disk'os...but not frisbees...weird), but I do enjoy these rides. Sadly the only one I've been on was the one at Carowinds (Wild Bull) that was removed in '98 for Top Gun/Afterburn (it sat about where the helix is now). I don't know what happened to it other than it went into storage.
  9. Well...On to the Food & Wine Festival which begins March 3rd and runs through April 29, with a preview on Friday March 2nd. Busch Gardens Tampa 2018 Food & Wine Festival Concert Lineup: Preview (Friday March 2nd):
  10. ^Gate Price at BGT was already raised to $104.99 this year ($89.99 online). I know there are a lot of people complaining about it. Well maybe a few. I'm still on the EZ pay price from 2010 so I'm good...lol
  11. They won't be getting a Dive Coaster (or B&M for that matter) any time soon. Just because CP has one and Canada's Wonderland MIGHT be getting one, doesn't mean one is coming to Carowinds. This will likely be a GCI woody (something the park actually needs) taking up the area formerly occupied by White Water Falls, kiddie pool and Thunder Road's station (with the flying scooters placed somewhere in the leftovers).
  12. You forgot to add Orang Cafe in Jungala (forgot when it closed). Jambo Junction has reopened, but is Animal Connections now.
  13. Basic Membership Blockout Calendars BGW: Water Country USA: If you have a Basic Membership, you are able to attend the park on Blockout dates for $25, purchasable at the park on day of visit (located under Membership Faq).
  14. I'm assuming you meant BGT. However that attraction opened in 2016. There have been no new attractions since. Only removals...well SBNO.
  15. This morning, NBC Charlotte (and other news outlets) were on a construction tour for Camp Snoopy. During the tour it was confirmed that Woodstock Gliders (Flyers) won't be back until 2019 as part of whatever they are doing by WWF. I know this will be quite upsetting to many knowing it's popularity. It's around the 13 minute mark. The reporter calls it Flying Ace Aerial Chase, but, it's understood what she meant as this was the area it was in. https://www.facebook.com/NBCCharlotte/videos/1963187117056102/ [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  16. Details for the Happy Harbor Overhaul into Sesame Street: Happy Harbor Overhaul SeaWorld Orlando/ Partial quote from the article:
  17. It's going to be removed, along with the boat and water play area when it transforms into Sesame Street. The rest of the rides will be staying and at least one new flat ride added. Happy Harbor Overhaul SeaWorld Orlando
  18. The 3rd inversion is what some are calling a "Horseshoe" over the station (4&5 are the Cobra Roll). It's basically like a cutback inversion like what was Drachen Fire's next-to-last inversion. (image from California Coaster Kings) Drachen Fire's Cutback:
  19. Kentucky Kingdom workers could lose overtime pay under Senate-backed plan
  20. ^If the South Gate isn't open (which isn't likely to be open at opening time anyway as they open it once the lot gets so full or it's a holiday...at least historically), then the Carolina Harbor entrance will be. However, I don't believe that entrance opens until close to 11 when CH opens. You'll be able to exit the South Gate however after CH closes. They do this for people who parked at that end.
  21. That area will soon become a Sesame Street themed area. No date set yet, but could see them start construction either after Infinity falls opens, or around this time next year after the busy holiday season. It's a whole different experience in the back row. I've ridden it since 2010 and finally rode in the back on my last visit. I started "greying out". The only coaster so far that's happened on (so far). Technically, you aren't supposed to go in through the exit. They will turn you around if there are employees present.
  22. Part of the Treetop Trails and Orangutan exhibit in Jungala now occupy the land where Python was. The clearing to the north of there is an animal enclosure that can be seen from the train.
  23. I can't wait for Steel Vengeance! (and the rest of the park in June)
