  1. This type of park is always charming. Thanks so much for taking the time to post, and I hope you found your wallet!
  2. ^ Thanks for posting! It is great that your campus is acknowledging you. Welcome to the neighborhood.
  3. Agreed. Only parks in my opinion that have "Outstanding" food is Busch and Disney Parks . You are forgetting Herschend I hate you right now
  4. Wow, great pictures - thanks! That Toy Story land looks amazing! Love the selection of uber-themed flat rides. Thank you for taking the time to post these. David
  5. Regarding the zac-spins. I am not sure that any major park in the US is a good place, unfortunately. If we could run them like I've heard they run Insane - it would be great. Unfortunately, in the US - someone would bruise their knee or throw up and sue the crap out of the park - so they cannot run them to their full potential. This is just an opinion of mine, and might not be worth anything - but after talking to fellow TPR members who travel overseas - the "never in the US" phrase comes to mind.
  6. ^ WOW! I have never seen that one - what an awesome design for a shuttle loop.
  7. Thanks for the pictures Gary! I also really enjoyed this park on the 2008 tour and thought it was pretty amazing how they fit the Spongebob coaster in there. The Ninja Turtles ride wasn't there then, but it looks pretty freaking cool.
  8. ^ I remember saying, "my chiropractor LOVED that," after my back row ride in 2008. Then my crazy A$$ got back on and rode again (much nearer to the front that time.) Still an awesome ride and better than alot of the "clones" that followed.
  9. ^ Although HH is the absolute last thing I personally wanted at SFoG, I'm sure it will be a HUGE hit for the GP. Atlanta summers are very hot and muggy. Although Six Flags owns White Water, the parks are nowhere near each other - and neither park is in "Atlanta Proper." Six Flags is in Carrolton and White Water is in Marietta. Although not to far apart distance wise, in Atlanta traffic - the commute between the parks could easily be over an hour. I'm definitely in the camp that the GP will love it and I will hopefully spend less time in line for the attractions that I like!
  10. Oh - the Cyclone. Classic, scary as hell and brutal; but I loved every second Note to self: The back row is a very, very bad idea.
  11. Agreed. I liked the GA Cyclone back in the day when it didn't try to murder you, but the last couple of times I was at the park, Cyclone was just so rough it wasn't enjoyable at all for me. I couldn't agree more about this! Ever since they changed to those square wheels, the thing has been brutal . I go every Easter and the past two years have seen some Topper Track added. Those sections are really fun again, but when it hits the old track from the new, it is like a car wreck. I would love to see RMC's take on the Cyclone, or better yet; the Crystal Beach Cyclone. As far as clones, I'd agree with El Toro, or something like Balder if the park needed something a little less "big." P.S. - every park could use a MindBender from SFoG as well.
  12. Just looking at the pictures of this thing being built kind of freaks me out. First time I ride it, I might actually need some adult diapers. Just sayin'. D.
  13. It is definitely BRUTAL - but Ninja at SFoG has always been a pretty awesome "looking" coaster
  14. Gossip Girl. I binge watched the entire series and hated myself for it the whole time
  15. LMAO - If this happened, you would have a train full of unconscious people pulling into the station . That brake before the final loop is probably the only trim brake I would ever be grateful for. Even braked, Mindbender just flys into that final loop. Un-braked - it would feel like you are getting punched in the chest. Mindbender is one of my all-time favorite coasters, and I have been riding it since it opened (even worked on it in the 80's.) I can honestly say, it has gotten faster (and better) with age, but that final brake is now kind of necessary. D.
  16. ^ Heck - if it works out that Morey's is the best option for you financially (to actually enjoy your day as well as ride,) Sea Serpent is fine. As far as Boomerangs go it is pretty good. Just remember that you will be doing all three inversions forwards and then bakcwards. Also - the Cobra Roll (boomerang) element is a little jerky since the train changes directions quite often. It would definitely be tamer than Great N'oreaster - as the Vekoma SLC's are fairly intense. The new trains on that one make it really good as far as SLC's go, but it is still more intense than a boomerang. Hope this helps. David
  17. ^ When I lived in Dallas - the Fair Park was only open when the Fair was in town. Love to see what they have done with the place! Looks awesome. As far as SFoT - the last time I was there, Texas Giant - or Old Texas Giant - or OTAG - was still new in its original form (what an AWESOME ride that was when it was new.) I absolutely loved SFoT at the time and thought it was a great park.
  18. Most likely Cheetah Hunt or Kumba - thinking of going to BGT next week
  19. I'll agree with Wild Adventures or Great Escape It would also be nice to see SFA get a new coaster as well as SFStL
  20. I am such a Social Media reject. Facebook is probably most often for me and I love pinterest. Tumblr - only for dirty pictures
  21. That Swing Dance looks like fun! Did you get to ride it, and did you like it? Thanks so much for posting this. David
  22. Just want to wish everyone here a Happy and Healthy New Year! I come to this thread first thing when I log on to talk to you guys, so wanted to thank you all for being here!!!
  23. Thanks so much for taking the time to post! Great pictures and it looks like you had a blast on your TPR tour. I always say that they are the best vacations I have ever been on.
