  1. This is so very exciting. I can't wait to watch this being built! Watching the Orlando Eye go up was a lot of fun and this will be even BETTER!
  2. ^We went for the first time a couple of months ago and had a blast! Things were a bit dated, but I loved the selection of classic video games. Cyber Space Mountain was also a lot of fun and the animation class as well. We'll be doing it again if possible before it closes and some basketball crap or whatever goes there.
  3. I know, right?!?! I am a SkyRush geek and really, really enjoy Hershey. I do not particularly care for how crowded it gets and I think that they desperately need a good fast pass system.
  4. SkyRush and I-305 for me. Followed closely by Kumba
  5. I'm with the crowd here - the Batmen and Kumba are, by far, the most intense B&M's to me. Adding to that - Kumba is also one of the BEST B&M's ever built
  6. Wow - there were some replies in this thread which shocked the S#!& out of me. I'll agree on the Stitch abomination - horrible horrible experience. I'll pretty much ride everything, and I can only think of a couple that I didn't / don't enjoy. Any Chance Toboggan - Once was quite enough for me. Hurlers - I'm sorry, I just really, REALLY dislike them. Although I ride them - Windseekers / Sky Screamers. They really do scare the crap out of me.
  7. I was at MK a couple of weeks ago in the FastPass line for Big Thunder Mountain. I saw a cast member escorting a pair of teenage girls out of the line who were caught line jumping. I think it happens everywhere (and at MK especially during Brazilian tourist season) but Disney seems to do a pretty good job with it. Remember, they can't always see it happening - but when they do I've always seen them address it.
  8. I'm so sorry to hear this!! Sorry I haven't been on to post in a while - my father passed away and I was in Atlanta with my mom for a couple of weeks and am now getting caught back up with my life.
  9. I totally get this. I check the site at the office - not from home, so I have to just wait until someone actually posts pictures to TPR. It can get frustrating
  10. That's awesome. Still crossing fingers and toes that it is a good offer!!!!
  11. I'm not sure about Revolution, as I haven't ridden it, but I know that the trims on MindBender at SFoG are there because the ride is so forceful. Perhaps in the years since the older Schwartzkopf's were built - new wheel materials, lubrications, etc... have allowed the trains to travel faster than they did originally. With MindBender - if the brakes berfore the inclined helix and the last loop were off - the trains would come back to the station with a bunch of unconscious riders. Thoughts?
  12. Just caught up on this thread and felt the need to add my piece When I visited ValleyFair a few years ago, I found the coaster collection to be lackluster, but REALLY liked the park. I feel that CF and the park are basically going the opposite direction from what they do at Cedar Point. They are making it a really, really nice small park with more of a retro vibe. To that end, they are doing a great job. Flyers can be really great rides. I remember riding the flyers at Carowinds and being encouraged to snap them. If snapping is allowed by VallyFair - these will be a treat. I can, however, understand the frustration felt by enthusiasts and locals about the lack of any new StandOut rides or coasters. To me, the additions of small flats and any additions to a waterpark are always underwhelming. I know that they help out with rounding out a park and that they are necessary - but "family" additions really don't do anything for a large part of the park's demographic. What everyone needs to understand, is that the "family" rides bring in the families which spend a substantially larger amount of money at a park than your average adrenaline junky. These improvements HAVE to be made so that larger thrill rides can be built. Here's hoping to a very successful 2016 for VF and here's hoping for a new thrill ride for 2017. David
  13. I really didn't care for the 1st episode too much and the junkie kid character makes me want to punch him in the face. That being said - it has slowly built up and I'm enjoying it more. I'm just worried that with so few episodes in a first season that requires quite a bit of exposition - that it will not hook enough viewers to get a 2nd season. What do you guys think?
  14. ^ Awesome. I've been on 6 TPR trips, but I've never been out West. This is a crime that needs to be addressed . I absolutely must make it to WCB next year.
  15. Thanks for the report. Six Flags over Georgia is one of my favorite parks. I grew up going there, had my first job there, and even though I live 7 hours away now - I still go a couple of times a year
  16. Looks like you had a wonderful time!! What would you say your absolute favorite experience / ride was at WCB? Thanks for taking the time to post!
  17. I''ll definitely check it out. I really like the premise of this. I'll agree that the later season was kind of off the rails - but overall I found the show to be enjoyable.
  18. Fingers are still crossed It's hard to type this way - just sayin'
  19. #369 - Outlaw Run - it most certanly did not disappoint.
  20. I, too, am hoping that the new attractions they are building are not all 3D glasses simulator rides. They don't make me sick, but I do get kind of bored with having to get 3-D glasses to ride so many of the attractions. With Hulk closing until next summer and additions that really don't interest me very much for 2016, we've decided to take a year off from our Universal / IOA passes. We'll most likely get them again late next year. As far as HHN goes - they always do a wonderful job with make-up and sets, but for some reason - I find Howl-O-Scream at BGT to be MUCH more entertaining. It just seems like the people working the event there are having such a good time. We still might spring for tickets for HHN this year - but I'm still not completely sold on it.
  21. Can't wait to find out how this went!!!!!!! Bert - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kate! She just makes me happy. I've seen the B's six or seven times and she is always the highlight of the show for me. I also had no idea she was a lesbi-gay. Yayyyy for our team!!
  22. I've ridden the Whip at Knoebels, Dorney and Hershey. They don't compare to the insanity that is the Whip at Rye. I'm assuming this is the other one that is run at the "optimum" intensity and speed . I've not been to Camden park, but I can say that the Whip at Rye Playland is psychotic.
  23. Thank you very much for posting these!! I do have to say that they did a pretty AMAZING job with the theming on this! I am very impressed and I am sure that although not the most intense ride, that it is VERY fun. I am assuming that you enjoyed it?
  24. Just checking to make sure I read correctly. You say Mindbender is overrated, but Ninja is fun...right? Although I don't hate Ninja as much as most people do - you are in the VAST minority in your opinion of Mindbender (but I think you know that.)
  25. Your reasoning is sound . I'd check to make sure there isn't a Christian Music Festival or anything going on that may suprise you with crowds. I've ridden many of the rides there in the rain, but if there is lightning within something like 5 miles - the usual park shutdown occurs. I think at that time you can ride the Monster Plantation (they call it Mansion, but we know the difference ) and things like the bumper cars. They have historically been pretty good at getting everything back up and running after a storm. As far as Severe Thunderstorms - I've never seen them make anyone go anywhere. Most people end up in one of the stores or dine-in restaurants. Hope this helps - have a great trip!!!
