Looks like Castaway Bay is going to have some competition. -
Bon-Bon Land confirms Han Katten for 2007

I hope you guys realise that this is NOT a gerstlauer spinner, but instead a Bobsled coaster such as Cobra@ Paultons Park or Heiße Fahrt @ Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten/Cochem. Either way, Im sure it will be one amazing ride! -

B&M Magnetic brakes
CP_RULES replied to kaliboiryda510's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The stop is very smooth, but also very forceful. Thats why, I would guess, that they only use a few of them before switching to friction. -
B&M Magnetic brakes
CP_RULES replied to kaliboiryda510's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I dont know about other B&Ms, but I know that Patriot has some magnetic brakes before the friction ones that slow the train a lot before the friction brakes take over. Like EBL said, I would guess that this cuts down on how often they have to replace the friction brake pads (is that what the're called?). -
Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
CP_RULES replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LAME! I should have counted on SF to bring another boring clone to SFStL. Spinning Dragons was never that great at WoF, do they honestly think mirroring it and adding some cheap Tony Hawk theming will make the ride any better? Sure its great that SFStl is FINALLY getting a new coaster, but they could have at least gotten something that four hours of driving from the park couldnt get you. I can see the lines now..... Anyone want to wait 3 hours to ride this with me? -Justin "C'mon Six Flags!" Seabaugh PS- Where exactly is this located? From the video, it seems like its in-between Boss and Eagle, but I cant really tell. EDIT- I guess its on top of where the old alligator show was..... Hmmm, I wonder how Tony Hawk will fit in with the Britania theming.... -
Euro Fighter Extreme

I dont see anything wrong with A or C, but B is extremely unlikely, probably painful, and if nothing else, pointless. I say keep building this, but remove the beyond verical lift. -

Dorney Park's is simple, but I think it looks good: -
Its great to see that some companies are looking into coming to Missouri, we really dont have much selection here in the midwest, and its always a bonus for me!

Great to hear Wildcat is getting Millennium Flyers, Ive always thought those PTCs looked a little out of place on it. -

Wow, I remember seeing this earlier and thinking it looked like Gerstlauer, but now when I see it, it DEFINITELY looks like an Intamin (and not just in the track style either). That inversion looks insanely similar to Maverick's twisted horseshoe inversions, Zierer is definitley steppping it up here. -
The Best Morgan Hyper Coaster
CP_RULES replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You cant beat those insane headchoppers in Mamba's helix! I just wish the MCBR wasnt on so hard... Ive only ridden one, so I wont vote, but I really like Morgan's hypers. They seem to be the first to get the "inside-the-track" wheel design right. Theres nothing more orgasmic than smooth airtime. -Justin "I just wanted to say orgasmic" Seabaugh -
