  1. IMO best looking that I've seen is Ripsaw, but the best ride I had was on the Terminator at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, absolutely awsome and it had bendy arms -Martyn
  2. Nice pictures, quick question, was that the park Beverly Hills Cops 3 was filmed in? Its just that Carousel in the building infront of thsat little lake looks very familiar. The Spinning Mouse picture, were all them people in it queuing for the Spinning Mouse? If so -Martyn
  3. You being serious? I haven't been on it but its no different to any other Reverchon Mouse, there would be more of them on the UK trip but Pleasurewood Hills removed theirs and the one Lightwater Valley maybe closed temporarly, I dunno. Any nice pics, I must say Nicola, you have one hell of a smile. -Martyn
  4. Well I love Space Mountain, its one of my all time favourite coasters. The launch is cool, although the launch on RnRC is much better. After the launch, you enter the 'mountain' and you seem to circle the whole building, then a sudden drop into a half loop/ half corkscrew(sidewinder?) after that more circling drops etc then cokscrew then more circling until you come to the lift hill which seems to take you to the top of the mountain, then you drop, gradually to the bottom of the mountain and into this tounge inversion, its more of an over banked turn, then a helix then brakes. It probably sounds really dull how I explained it but trust me it isn't, I didn't bother mentioning any of the special effects because I don't want to spoil it for you. But its definetly worth the trip. Its much more intense than the RnRC, IMO, especially the corkscrew. Alot of people have said its definetly the best Space Mountain out there. Disneyland Paris also has the best Big Thunder Mountain, according to Robb & Elissa, I've only been on the paris one and I love it, and if Robb says its the best, I'll take his word for it. -Martyn
  5. Hey, I looked up this topic earlier to see if you'd replied, but ya have now. Bleezy Bobs thingy is that colourfull building between the Log Flume and the Dingy slide, quite a large building, although the entrance is kind of hard to spot, its right by the Chairswings(GIANT TURTLE). Well I'm glad someone agreew that the £19 is a lot to ask, especially as you can get in to Drayton Manor & Flamingo Land for the same price. Obviously I'll believe the ride op as we know the ride is happening, but other wise I rarely believe anything that comes from a ride ops mouth. -Martyn
  6. So its clearly an Inverted coaster, but RCDB has it as a 'sit down' coaster. -Martyn
  7. As many people have told me, search is your friend. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23613&highlight=euro+attractions -Martyn
  8. Thats good to hear, I thought this was going to turn into a Nemesis bashing thread. This coaster does look pretty damn cool, the theming is on par with Disney. This coaster and Nemesis are prime examples of why I think IMO B&M are better than Intamin. -Martyn
  9. Although this is under construction I find this colour sceme (so far) to be very attractive, and its called 'Wipeout'.
  10. Thursday will be a lot quieter than Friday, and if you went on Friday night it would take you ages to get out of Southend, its absolutely filled with chavs in their stupid cars, & when I say filled I mean roads blocked with these stupid cars and there loud music. I took me about an 1 hour to get off the seafront! Also let us know whats happening with the Raging River as apparantly thats what the Euro-Fighter is replacing and as Adventure Island doesn't have and 'off/closed' season the construction could start anytime. -Martyn
  11. You'll be able to get more than 1 go on each ride, nothing there has a queue apart from the Sky Drop. But then again its half term when yuor visiting, but I don't think that will do too much harm. Make sure you don't miss Bleezy Bobs Trail, its a hidden Gem. -Martyn
  12. Does AI have an 'off season'? I didn't want to know what it was like when I went down there for the first time, it was more exciting not knowing what to expect. I never said I didn't like the park, I just find it too expensive, I'm sure if it was £13 per wristband I would have liked it alot more, but knowing that I pad £19 and I could have gone to Drayton Manor or Flamingo land for the same price, it was just a bit dissapointing. I now only go down there in the winter, just to get the credits whilst everywhere else is closed. -Martyn
  13. You have to remember that Colossus (Thorpe Park) doesn't have that much triangular track, the only bits that are triangular are: Loop, Cobra Roll & 2 Corkscrews. If it is to be in Intamin Looper, I would have prefered them to go for B&M, Intamin loopers just don't look that impressive, where as B&M's look awsome, and another point, Colossus is only 4 years old and its in a terrible state. Who can say that about a B&M? But theres not much that can be done as they've gone for Intamin. -Martyn
  14. Big Dipper at Blackpool is very rough, but its very fun. That or Corkscrew at Alton Towers -Martyn
  15. Quick question, why has the Claw had 2 of its arms removed? -Martyn
  16. Ok, I suppose it not a kiddies park, but theres nothing there to justify £19 wristbands and IMO it still seems strange, a seaside amusment park getting a Euro-Fighter. I've been down there with my girlfriend and we didn't have much fun, but my biggest shock was after paying £19 for wristbands, you have to pay extra for the Dodgems! Ok, so when its £19 it is open till late, but theres nothing there to keep me staying till late, ok you can leave, walk into town etc, but theres not much to go back for, re-riding flats to me is boring. Hardly anything has a queue, apart from their Log Flume, which is why I was surprised at hearing they will be removing it, its like tradition for a park to have a Log Flume. And bare in mind it cost the same price to get in here (Adventure Island)as it does Drayton Manor & Flamingo Land The £19 wristbands start in April till October. -Martyn
  17. http://www.rcdb.com/id3573.htm http://www.joylandbooks.com/news.htm#New_ This is crazyness, allbeit good, but still crazy, this park is completely aimed at kiddies (bar 2 flat rides). Apparantly it will replace their Log Flume, which is tiny. I doubt I will believe it until construction starts And the Wristbands are currently £19 for this kiddies park, which is way too expensive, so god knows what they will go up to if they do get this ride. -Martyn
  18. I thought it was deleted, I couldn't find it anywhere and as the server was messed up I just thought it was deleted, sorry -Martyn
  19. I posted this topic earlier today but when I went to view it after about an hour it wasn't on the boards anymore, I prosumed it was deleted due to the mess up with server so I posted it again and now the other ones re-appeard. Sorry -Martyn
  20. I know I done this exact polls a few weeks ago but it was my first ever poll and I only done it for 5 days so there was only about 30 votes! So here we go again, this time the poll will last 'forever'. *REMEMBER* This is your favourite UK Amusment/Theme Park, not what you say is the best and start loads of arguements(although that is amusing), this is in your own opinon your favourite UK Amusment/Theme Park, and for what reason? For me this is very hard, I have plenty of favourite parks here, like the classic fairground style of Botton's Pleasure Beach Skegness or my first ever park, Pleasurewood Hills and the obvious Thorpe, Alton & Blackpool PB, I honestly can't decide yet, I love Chessington aswell!! *PLEASE NOTE* the list is long enough as it is, so I have left out lots of little parks, ie Gullivers, Wicksteed, UK Piers(Brighton,Blackpool,Clarence etc). So if your favourite park isn't listed please mention it anyway! -Martyn
  21. Yet again someone else who gets airtime on Stealth, me, never, no one bit, even tried to jump in my seat as we went over the top hat, didn't really have the same effect. Man I gotta disagree with you on Nemesis Inferno, IMO it rocks although its not intense at all, its such a breeze through the park. I've never noticed the wire before thats hanging down from Stealth. Unfortunely I am still a Rush virgin as all my visits to TP this year have been badly hit by downtime on nearly all the rides apart from Stealth (Yes that is correct). -Martyn
  22. Paultons park isn't too far away either -Martyn
  23. I can't wait till this coaster is finished, this could be one of the best themed coasters I've ever bee on and I can't wait to see what the cars look like
  24. Now then I think some people may already know about this but I've done a search & I didn't find anything. But Blackpool Pleasure Beach has the Most Haunted Ghost Train in the world, its home to 3 ghosts that are still heard of and seen to this day: Ghost No.1: "Cloggy", used to work on the ride befor he died over 20 years ago, nicknamed "Cloggy" becasue he used to wear cloggs all the time, he loved working on the ride, thats why he's still there to this very day. Many many people over the years have claimed that they have been touched by someone whilst on the ride and apparantly its him, he likes to scare people by giving thema push on the shoulder or on the back of the head. Ghost No 2. Now I can't remember the name of him but he desgined the Pretzel Ride, which is what the Ghost Train used to be before 1936, apparantly he's very unhappy at whats happened to what he called "his masterpiece" Pretzel Ride. Ghost No 3.Now I can't remember the name of him either but this ghost designed the Ghost Train in 1936 & is a big enemy of Ghost 2 for obvoius reasons, these 2 ghosts aren't seen that often, they are just heard alot as they make lots of noise as they argue loads but they don't interfere with the public unlike Cloggy. I've been on this Ghost Train loads, its not scary at all but I've never knew about this untill the other day, I believe in ghosts so when I next go to Blackpool its going to be quite weird going back on it, and honestly I think I will be quite scared, being in dark tunnels with skeletons and devils everywhere, knowing that theres upto 3 dead people in my company! Apparantly they are most active at night time, just before closing. I swear down on my life that I have not made any of this up, honestly this is all completely true. Obviously if you don't believe in ghosts you wont be bothered but if you do it might make you next ride on the Ghost Train an interesting one. Good luck to the UK trip -Martyn
