  1. That could be a massive clue! It could mean a new direction of coasters, as in something completely new, or it could be something to do with the coaster its self.
  2. ^^So what did they do to prevent that happening again, I've seen Ghost Ship and the beggining just isn't very nice and for that to happen in a Theme park would be a disaster, let alone disgusting.
  3. The only connection between this(Anaconda) and a normal B&M Inverter that I could find, was the designer, under neath the Make and Model of the coaster, for example I went to the Dueling Dragons Page and noticed the designer was Ingenieur Büro Stengel GmbH, which is exactly the same designer which is on the Giovanola (Anaconda) Page. Hope that helps. -Matyn
  4. The old Bubbleworks was a classic, one of the best dark rides in Britain, but now its been ruined by Tussuards and there greed/need for advertising, for some reason the Bubbleworks Factory has been invaded by rubber ducks, what that has to do with a Bubble Factory, I don't know. I really am angry with what they have done, and upset knowing that I can never go on the classic Bubbleworks ever again. -Martyn
  5. ^But the one at Port Adventura is going to be Inverted. Anyone thought of it being a kind of clone of Colossus (Thorpe Park) but with one or 2 more inversions, just so they can have 'that' record. -Martyn
  6. Like, everything! Its a disaster. I think you would have best to do this poll after the UK trip so you'd get more people take part. -Martyn
  7. Well if that catch car hit the end of the track at 130mph I pretty much say its been destroyed, but then again, I'm not there, I'm here and I know nothing. I think its always going to have problems like this, because it cheated, it cheated at being the tallest & fastest coaster IMO. It cheated because its launched to the fastest speed of any coaster & launched upto 450', that IMO is cheating, I want to see the tallest and fastest "traditional" coaster. So someone up in the skies is cursing it because he agrees with me, Kingda Ka is a CHEAT. -Martyn
  8. Hey Robb or Lou, was Spin Doctor open? Over at Coasteforce.com in their forum theres some talk going on about this Rocket Coaster thats going to be around the Spin Doctor area and shoot out through the Big Dipper & Big One & over to the sea, about 314ft tall and lanches 0-117mph in less than 4 seconds. I thought they decided against the Even Bigger One. But then this is just talk -Martyn
  9. It sounds very rattley after the corkscrew. Although that launch doesn't look that great, its good to see a different layout insted of launch, up, down, brakes! After watching that video again, it sounds like it rattles alot through-out the whole ride.
  10. My palms are now very sweaty! It shouldn't be on top of it, it should be around the perimeter of the tower at the top, if you get what I mean. I think even a normal Waveswinger up there would make me think twice!
  11. Millenium Coaster, nice smooth Vekoma which I actually think is quite good
  12. This is a good thread, very interesting. One ride that has to be mentioned is a Waveswinger! Which now brings me on to a completely random question, why doesn't RCT have Waveswingers and Waltzers? Now then my top ten, in no order. 1. Space Mountain (DLR Paris) 2. Volcano, Fantasy Island UK (S&S Space Shot) 3. Nemesis 4. Grand National 5. Log Flumes (any, I just love them) 6. Fireball, Pleasurewood Hills (KMG) 7. Intamin Drop Towers 8. Maurer Söhne spinning coasters, jus plain fun alround 9. Any B&M Inverters! 10. Big Thunder Mountain (DLR Paris)
  13. Now that looks like fun, but I've still got to try the normal Star Flyer. Has there ever been any accidents on any of these crazy rides? I imagine that if the flying one was to turn up at a park it would be a pay per ride attraction as the capacity would be very low! I think it would be one of them rides that would make me VERY nervous before riding but when it starts I'd be ok, maybe. I really think you've got to have guts to ride it.
  14. ^ Yeah I know that but alot people don't like them. Just from looking at the specific cosaters I'd says that Goliath/Titan have the worst case of trim brakes, its huge and it has a trim brake after 3 drops, I know it helps with the capacity but whats the point in building a 250ft coaster if your going to slow it down after 3 drops! If the UK had everything there would be nothing to look forward to if you went to America and the other way round, America is like 20 times the size of England, that why they have much more coasters and parks. I'm sure if England was the size of America it would have just as many parks! I'm not saying this to slate Americans but I'm pretty happy with the quality of coasters we have here in the UK, we don't have many duplicates, like we only have 1 operation Boomerang, 1 standard SLC (& 2 custom), but I'm sure if the UK was bigger there would be many of these! America has many world class coasters, so does the UK, just not as many, so in other words the UK is just a small America.
  15. Yes, short but sooooooo sweet. It would be nice to have some long coasters, but aren't the majority of all the long coasters in the US covered in trim/bloke brakes? Thats another advantage of shorter coasters, shorter queues and your left buzzing like crazy when you hit the brake run.
  16. I remember Elissa saying once in another thread " I'd prefer a few world class coasters to a load of average coaster". And the UK has some world class coasters IMO, Nemesis, Grand National, Wild Mouse (Blackpool) Steeplechase, Nemesis Inferno, Dragons Fury. The only problem that the UK has is its lack of Hyper Coasters because nearly every park has height restrictions, the only park that doesn't have a height restriction is Blackpool Pleasure Beach and I don't think they have enough room for another one
  17. ^^Here you go, this coaster layout is identicle to the RNRC: http://www.rcdb.com/ig769.htm?picture=2 IMO the RNRC is a brilliant coaster but if it weren't for the music and theming it would be a bit average as it slows down alot towards the end but the fast paced music keeps it feeling faster, so I imagine this coaster (Xpress, below) must be abit dull towards the end
  18. I love that Julian Johnson's "Don't Look Down 2005 video, I feel like I've just been round the world in 5 minutes!
  19. Your correct, I always said that the RNRC was made better by the fast beating music, well the one at Paris also has strobe lights, millions of coloured flashing lights etc so that makes it great, so I imagined that one without themeing it would be dull!
  20. Delete post please, sorry
  21. Them trains are crazy, I think the topic of "Best coaster trains" will hit off next year with them and Crush's Turtle Twister, cars themed to turtles, dude. How come the speed is shown in kph?
  22. Looks like that bunch people just made that ride in their spare time!
  23. Um....... http://www.rcdb.com/id769.htm
  24. Alton Towers and Chessington has fantastic themeing, and you don't have to have themeing to have a great park, just look at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
