  1. Speaking of sky rides anyone ever been on the big versions of them? You know the cable cars/trams that go up mountains? I been on one once but they are a lot of fun. Also when its windy with the combination of the thin air,it feels like you are on a mini airplane. You get that weird weightless feeling. Or maybe we can think of it as the other way around. Sky Rides are pretty much mini cable cars
  2. ^Nothing against people who do...but people with an average intelligence like me will have trouble understanding them. It causes a lot of confusion and communication issues too. She told me when she was a young child in school people would resent her for using big words even back then! They thought that she was to good for everyone...I personally dont think that way but i do find it kind of annoying when she uses fancy words. I never hear any of my other friends or family talk like that...Also she started reading two!!! So that explains a lot....She is the Sheldon Cooper of reading and writing. When it comes to me though Im like a Penny.
  3. I have this friend who always uses rich vocabulary all the time! It gets sooooo annoying because i feel i have to look up stuff every time i have a conversation with her or ask her the meaning of a word she used and she often gets annoyed about it too!! At times its like she is speaking another language! A language called Look-How-Smart-I-Soundenese! BS-ing with friends shouldnt be a chore!
  4. ^ Yea this park seemed pretty interesting too. It was like one of the most popular amusement parks of the time. Oh by the way I watched the commercial and was saying to myself, who goes to an amusement park to watch people dance?? booooooring! I go to amusement parks for the rides!
  5. Dont know who those people are sorry i dont follow celebs. Log Flume/chute the shoot ride or waterslide?
  6. I honestly wonder what a 500 foot coaster would be like. The 500 ft tall version of an Intamin or B&M hyper coaster would be awesome. Imagine if it had a drop like Mavrick too.
  7. I dont know but Dorney looks pretty cool to me. No i never been there but it looks like it has fun rides too me. Steel Force looks a lot of fun and the other coasters look cool too. It also has two different drop rides! How many parks have two adult sized drop towers?? One of them also looks really unique. Not to mention the waterpark too. But thats just me. Im sure its no Cedar Point but still looks pretty fun.
  8. I would have to say Mean Streak as its the first time i went to CP. Also Shockwave at SFGAm i went on it in the summer of 2002. After that i moved to Indianapolis for most of my teen years so i wasnt really that close to Great America anymore. When i rode Shockwave was also the first time i went to Great America. Also Hurricane at Myrtle Beach Pavilion way back in 2001.
  9. Speaking of sky rides...I remember when i went to Santa's Villiage in Dundee way back in 1999 they had a sky ride of some sort. Instead of a tram though it was more like a ski lift bench design. Me and my mom were one it and these preteen boys who were on the return part of the cycle, were yelling at all the people who just boarded, that the ride was going to break and fall. Being a kid in my own little world i didnt notice they said that but i could see all scared faces of the children who just got on and asked my mom why do they look so upset. She answered me in an angry tone about how those stupid boys were trying to scare the other passengers. Even my mom was getting scared....Scared of what a bunch of unsupervised 10 years old were saying??? I can understand young kids being scared but grown adults?? The whole time my mom was super tense and i was still like ladeedaadeedaa....lol I wasnt even paying attention to them.
  10. Oh ok. So it pretty much drops very very quickly. I did notice when the drop towers drop you kind of float a little. Where as from what you guys said about this one its like being a boulder falling from high above. That would be interesting. I love super intense drops
  11. I notice some people in this thread mentioned how the drop tower is one of the best out there O.O Even better then Giant Drop? the ones at SFMM and SFGAd ? Falcon Fury? etc Compare to those ones the drop there is a small fry however i know they can pack a punch. Still if you dont mind me asking what makes this one stand out from the rest?
  12. For me it would have to be Raging Bull as i live near SFGAm and its one of my favorite rides there.
  13. I think all defunct parks are interesting. However lately the most interesting ones to me is Boblo Island because it reminds me of a mini Cedar Point(because being near the great lakes and also in the northern midwest area) and Cedar Point is awesome! Another is Riverview because it was in Chicago and thats where i live. It looks neat too. Also i heard the Bobs was one of the best coasters of its time. However Riverview closed long before i was born and Boblo closed down when i was a toddler. Another interesting one that i actually have been to was Myrtle Beach Pavilion i went when i was 11 in the winter of 2001. That place was a lot of fun and the only classic boardwalk park i been too. Its a shame it closed Hurricane was one of my first major coasters too. Oh i also forgot to mention i think Old Chicago and Kiddieland are interesting too. Especially since Kiddieland would of been down the road from me in the area i live at now. Sadly i never got to go there though...:/ But i would of been neat if it was still around...I would of walked down the street and been there! I dont drive so yea....
  14. I got the adblocker app for my phone so i could finally watch youtube videos without the fricking stupid commercials that appear before the start of the video!! Well i learned that app either has a kink or youtube is just greedy and sly as the commercials STILL appear even on the adblocker app!! It works for other sites yet not youtube....If you go back several times you may be lucky enough to finally get it without a commercial. They are mostly either 15 seconds long or 30 and for the most part wont let you skip!! At least but something entertaining for us while we are forced to wait! Oh and if I had a shot for every time i seen a Macy's ad Id probably be in a coma....Macy's leave youtube alone please no one cares! We just want to watch our videos! Thanks!
  15. I havent been to Kings Island since 2004 but i do remember that had one of the junior woodies a well. My friends who were with me weren't as big coaster riders as me and had a limit. From that trip i learned i should only meet up with people who actually enjoy coasters as much as me....However when they dragged on me on the junior woodie there i was thinking what a fricking waste! The coaster climbs up the teeny lift hill then drops....to my surprise it was actually thrilling!! It caught me off guard! Didnt know such a small coaster can pack a punch!
  16. Never. I dont even know what that is. lol When was the last time you believed in Santa?
  17. I seen a few of TPR Japan videos and i got to say that I dont get the point of jet coasters. They look cheap and sketchy and quite honestly not that fun. A lot of them look boring in my opinion. Also why are they named jet coasters? With a name like that I'd think of a fast launch coaster not an overgrown kiddie coaster lol. Jet coasters would be so much better if they added a lot more drops and those drops were much steeper and taller. Also less cat walks!
  18. I dont really have the worst coasters as in crappy but more so its not as fun as the others from said companies B&M. This may be an unpopular choice for this but I'd have to say X-Flight at great America. I dont hate it and think its fun, however compare to the others its kind of tame. The first time i went on it i thought it was pretty awesome but after that it kind of meh. I actually prefer Gatekeeper. Intamin. I guess I'd have to say V2 also at Great America. It was hard putting this one as i really enjoy launched coasters. But i guess compare to the others been on its as amazing. Still its a really fun ride to me. And as many times i been on it the launch still catches me by surprise still its not as fun as the others GCI. I never been on a GCI coaster so i cant say much about this one.
  19. Toon Lagoon is one of my favorite area's in IOA. We can spend hours in that area with everything that it has to offer. Not to mention Dudley Do Rights and Popeye are two of my favorite water rides in any park. Curious if they would ever touch The Lost Continent anymore than they already have with Mytho's being part of that area. I dont think i been on the Popeye ride but Dudley Do Rights ride is awesome. Its pretty much my favorite log flume ride. Also Toon Lagoon is pretty much a staple to that park be kind of sad if they got rid of it.
  20. Yeah. Pretty sure I hate you after reading that list. I just want to go to SFMM once!! I can't imagine living only 10 minutes away. I want to go to SFMM so badly as well... I also want to go to SSGAd. My 3 main parks i dreamed of going to was CP,SFMM,and GAd. I finally got to go to CP this past summer and it was awesome! Now i just want to go to the two others one day too. My secondary dream parks is KD for I305 and Carowinds for Fury 325. Im a sucker for gigacoasters!
  21. I also found three random pics of on FB. Here is a pic of USO i had other pics but they werent that good...this was is kinda meh too but at least you can see a few rides. Here is a pic of the NY NY Coaster in Las Vegas i know it gets a lot of hate but it still looks neat and wasnt that bad as many had said but then again nor is it the best This is me up on Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. Thats the Insanity ride.
  22. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIngVYU8pcIalready posted that on the Cedar Point thread but i guess it can fit this thread. Also i dont know how people get the video to show up instead of the link...never could figure that out :/
  23. I want here twice before. Once when i was 9 in the summer of 1999 and the second time was a few years back. Hearing about the changes now it does seem like USO/IOA is a lot different then i remembered it being. I guess interests change... I though Earthquake was so cool. Same with Twister even though it wasn't an actual ride. So was the other classics they got rid of. It would be very sad if they got rid of their signature water rides but hopefully they wont do that. Not bashing 4D rides they are fun in their own ways but traditional rides will always be the best in my opinion. A lot of people bag on the VR googles on coasters,as long as they dont over do it,i think thats pretty awesome as it combines the best of both worlds. Now imagine if they had rides like that.
  24. I got 3. 1.i still enjoy collecting toys 2.I watch cartoons for kids 3.I still like to eat snacks geared towards mostly grade school kids and younger like Fruit By The Foots,Gushers,Lunchables, sugared cereal, gummy worm dirt pudding, etc
  25. I dont watch TV anymore honestly. There isnt much I'm interested in. If anything i still like to watch cartoons from my childhood and some modern ones.(like Steven Universe). However my favorite adult TV show as of now would be Big Bang Theory. Its one of the only sitcoms i truly enjoy and has characters i can relate too.
