  1. This is random but the chat seems random so far anyways. lol If you guys had to choice what would you all consider the "mini Cedar Point" in America. A much smaller park that can much easily be CPs little brother. How about what would the Cedar Point of England be? Australia? It could be the coaster capitals of that said country. How about the "Cedar Point" of the Six Flags franchise etc. (which most likely be Magic Mountain).
  2. I didnt know New York,New York Coaster was considered a hyper coaster. Doesn't seem like one to me. Didnt really have that hyper coaster feeling to it. Also others are right i though hyper coasters didnt have inversions. I dont think NYNY is as bad as so many say but still isnt as nearly as thrilling as a hyper coaster.
  3. I'd say Magnum is my favorite hyper. Even though its a tad rough it still has a lot of hills and air time. I never got a chance to try out Diamondback or Skyrush yet but i want to one day these seem awesome! Never been to Hershey Park and although i been to Kings Island it was before they got Diamondback.
  4. This! there was also another one like it but it was much longer dont remember where i seen it though. They may be weird but they also look neat.
  5. When me and my friend went this past Labor Day,the first two days we went on all the "biggest and best" rides. The third day we then went on all the other coasters/rides. I guess my style of ride picking is different then others. Like instead of going in order of how the park is set up I will want to go for the ride that catches my eye the most. Or at least what catches my eye the most in a particular area. Also it may be a lot of walking but heck i need the exercise anyways However we didnt have a change to go the waterpark though. Then again its not like its a waterpark that sticks out from the rest so im sure i didnt miss much. I can always go to the one at Great America if i wanted to. Also we didnt do the typical carnival flats(except Cedar Downs) and just the thrill flats (Power Tower,SkyHawk,Maxair) and did the Snake River Falls water ride.
  6. I havent been there since 2007 so i never got to try the newest coaster but my favorite when i was there was Voyage Here is an interesting one not really an amusement park but whats your favorite ride on the Las Vegas strip?
  7. I got a good rant! Here goes.....................Winter!!!!!!
  8. I have yet to try the upcharge extreme thrill rides but i want to one day. Thing is they are so expensive and i suggested to my friend to go with me a few times but she wasnt willing to pay for it. I offered to pay for her but then again it would end up being like 40 dollars or so all together. Almost as much as a theme park ticket itself. Never got why they cost extra. Still i would like to try all 3 of the flagship upcharge thrill rides:Sky Coaster,Sling Shot, and Sky Scraper. Also the more rare nothing but net looks really neat too!!
  9. I can see myself wanting to revisit CP though. CP is a really awesome place but yea average parks like Great America I'd probably be indifferent about revisiting if i lived far from it. Still i can see why people may not want to revisit even flagship parks like CP unless they got newer coasters of WOW! coaster,as amusement parks and traveling costs a lot so its better to go when you just really really want to go. Other then that though i dont get why people wouldnt want to revisit CP,especially coaster lovers.
  10. ^Six Flags Great America is my home park and i do go quite a few times. I do enjoy myself there and Goliath is awesome! Short but awesome! However....there is times i wish Great America was more like Great Adventure or Magic Mountain. I know thats unrealistic but i still I still have yet to go to those parks but i want to go soooo bad! Despite Great America being my home park and I enjoy going there,I still think Cedar Point is far superior and fun! I'm sure most would agree.
  11. I enjoyed all the coasters there as well. I think CP is really awesome. Even the super tame coasters like Iron Dragon and Cedar Creek weren't that bad. Iron Dragon with the VR was surprisingly a lot of fun. Cedar Creek was kind of fun as well even though I am not really a fan of mine trains. I guess when it comes to coasters i am not super super picky. However i am not a big fan of "flat coasters" you know those family coasters that lack drops or/and inversions. Like those small Hopkin coasters Whizzer or most mine trains.
  12. Dude! Im surprised i didnt find this particular thread until now! As I collect key chains of all sorts and have over 1000s of them. Amusement parks ones of course are one of my favorites. I would post them here however I already posted them in this thread: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=70279&start=40 if you want to look. Then again i can always post better close ups of a few of them as those pics I posted arnt the best anyways.
  13. Sigh....Im kind of jealous I have yet to be at KD and CW to try out Fury and I-305. They both look out of this world awesome! I only been on one giga coaster and thats M-Force and Im already in love with giga coasters! So i would love to try the others too. I guess everyone likes different features about coasters. My all time favorite coaster elements is the "stomach in your throat" tall and steep drops! Im not saying coasters without them are boring just that my favorite type of coaster is a coaster with super tall and steep drops. Also Mavrick was a lot of fun and caught me by surprise i thought it would just me "meh" but it really packed a punch!!! It was super intense and that super steep drop took my breath away! I-305 looks like a giant Mavrick and the height of Fury looks really awesome!
  14. I never been there but i think Shivering Timbers looks like it would be the best. Looks a lot of fun. Favorite at Holiday World?
  15. Oo this was is kind of hard but since i been to Florida many times but California only once id say Florida Big city or area with a lot of nature?
  16. I dont get why many people think Valvravn is underwelming though. I think dive coasters are awesome! I love that straight down drop! However I have admit the inversions weren't that noticeable. It was kind of weird. But then again dive coasters arnt known for its inversions but rather its dive drops hence the name. lol.
  17. Its a tie between Goliath and Raging Bull but Goliath is more intense so yea id have to say Goliath Whats your favorite roller coaster at Cedar Point?
  18. This is no where near as old as many people's choices here but mine was Mean Steak at Cedar Point. (1964) However I would like to try an old classic one day thats from way back in the day.
  19. ^speaking of Gatekeeper while its not the best coaster i ever been on I prefer it to SFGAm's wing coaster,X Flight. Which honestly i notice is kind of an unpopular opinion as I seen many people prefer Xflight to Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper gives me that stomach drop feeling which i love where as Xflight doesnt really have that. However i think Xflights keyhole is more intense then Gatekeepers.Gatekeepers keyholes are kind of on the slower side. So i guess in a way they both have their "cons" and pros.
  20. Jeezum Crow, they're not even rushing it. Makes me wonder how fast they could really get it out over there. It would take some running around and some really cooperative enthusiasts, but I think 15 seconds is realistic under the right conditions. Wow thats a fast dispatch time! Why cant major parks be like that? It would go so much quicker...it seems major parks make a project out of it....thing is seems corporate parks listen to much to the sue crazy soccer moms where as family owned are like "just as long as they have the lap bar down they are ready to go!" Family owned parks want to make money just as any other business however they also care about people enjoying their time there too instead of only worried about crazy things they will cost them their precious dough....
  21. Just a few seconds ago! I as snacking on White Castle's Fish Nibblers When was the last time you had chocolate?
  22. ~~~~ /____/-/____/-/____/-/____/-/____/ weeeeeeeeeee!!!! roller coaster!!!!!
  23. I would have to say the super tall drop towers always make me nervous. Especially Falcon Fury. However the scariness is what makes them so awesome and fun! I actually love being scared on rides! Thats what makes many of them so great!! Xscream on the Stratosphere Tower was pretty scary too but still a lot of fun. There is never a ride i would chicken out on though. However there is one ride i do feel uncomfortable going on. This will sound pretty silly and embarrassing but its the bumper boats. The first time i went on them I had trouble staring and everyone waiting in line was watching. Was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life honestly. I know that sounds silly but i am super self worried and care what others think. Same with go-carts as i had people make fun me of the way i drive. Im really not a fan of rides you have to drive yourself I rather have rides i can sit back and really enjoy! ...unless its bumper cars because you have an excuse to drive around like a goon.
  24. The one i went on was on the Snowbird mountains in Salt Lake City Utah.
  25. ^If they do open up their own hotel i wonder if it will have an indoor waterpark like many other amusement park hotels do. However i wonder as awesome as the indoor waterparks are I wonder if they get a lot of business during the summer since you know there is often the real waterpark a stone throw away. They are awesome for winter time. Have a Christmas themed waterpark and an awesome light show at the park itself during Christmas time.
