  1. I guess id say Six Flags Great America and Holiday World. Goliath is awesome! Cool to have a homepark with an RMC. I really enjoy American Eagle too even if its a little rough. I like how its steep and pretty tall. It was cool when one of the trains went backwards. Viper is a nice little coaster too although i remember it was a lot more fun when i was younger. It had better air time if I remembered. That might be because we often dont end up all the way in the back. The lines tend to be short for the seats more towards the front. (at least when i go to Great America) Holiday World has Voyage which was a lot of fun. Love the tall steep drops and the overbanked turns are awesome too. Something you dont see to often on wooden coasters. It kind of has that "headchopper" effect that makes it thrilling. The whole "omg we are so close to the side of the track!" type deal. Legend was fun of course and Raven packed a punch for being a smaller coaster. I noticed knoebels gets a lot of love on this site. I assume as Cedar Point is to epic modern steel coasters. Knoebels is to traditional wooden coasters and traditional flats. So its like the "Cedar Point" of the classic/old school amusement park category.
  2. Honestly I dont know as im vacationing in florida now and its soooo not snowing! (thank god) Have you been to all the amusement parks in Florida?
  3. As unrealistic as it may sound I really wish we did get a giga. another cool idea is some other sort of launch coaster. Here ill just list some of the coasters i think be cool for this park to get. Im not saying I want the park to get every single one of these but Im just listing ideas for a good next new coaster if they were to add one. -Giga -some sort of launch coaster maybe like Full Throttle from MM or a coaster like Accelerator or Storm Runner -an Intamin coaster similar to Mavrick -or even a Eurofighter would be pretty awesome. -a coaster like X2 would be so neat although i know we are already getting a 4d coaster.
  4. ^Speaking of that....does anyone know where the safe space thread is? Because you never know when someone will get offended or triggered. So we all need a nice safe space thread for us to go to you know? We dont want anyone triggered on here. If there isnt one yet Ill just start a safe space thread for all to enjoy! We can post pics of puppies kittens and rainbows.
  5. Meh. Im not gonna lie. That dish doesnt look appealing at all. Then again I'm super picky.(My grandma used to think i was the most pickiest person she met) That doesnt seem like amusement park food but the type of dish your weird relative would have you eat when visiting their house...I think I'll stick to good old burger fries nachos and funnel cakes. Is it healthy? No! but so what you are at an amusement park! You go to one to let loose and have fun! (unless of course you are like vegan then i feel some what bad for you...)
  6. Yea but they tend to be lame. lol Do you enjoy pulling pranks on people?
  7. Whats with moms yelling *Uck a Duck!!?? My mom says that sometimes too. Its so weird and funny at the same time! Whats with moms and their "unique" love for ducks??? lol Well the real question is where did that phrase even originate from....its so random!! I get it rhymes but still...
  8. I have only ridden one and that was way back when I was 9. It was at some parking lot carnival and was also my first real coaster. I was short for my age(and still am short) so thats why my first real coaster wasnt until i was 9. Anyways I do remember enjoying but maybe thats because I didn't know any better. I seen POVS of them before then the drops actually look some what intense and fun for such "small" coasters. If I went to a small park or carnival with one would I go on it? Yes. If its surrounded by bigger coasters maybe not. Of course Im referring to a galaxy styled ones. As for the more modern curved drop ones not sure....who knows maybe they would pack a punch and not be to painful.
  9. I like to watch videos of old school amusement parks. Ones that are long gone or may still be around. I seen that rocket ship ride a few times in the videos. Never seen one in person though. So must of been an 80s and early 90s thing. But I still wonder what it would be like to be on one. Speaking of rocket ships and old school amusement park rides,I noticed rocket ship rides in general were so common with in different decades. Everything from those Traver Circle Swings to the ones you can "pilot" yourself around in a circle (like the grown up version of those Red Baron biplanes) to of course the motion simulator rocket. I wonder what happen to especially the Circle Swings that ride looked kind of neat. Of course at least have the flying saucer were you stick to the wall.
  10. I enjoy having special interests. Most adults my age talking about nothing but partying(nothing against partying I just dont like to going to clubs and such not very social but i do drink every once in a while),jobs/work,school,dating,starting a family or stuff about their family they already have and the agony of finance issues.(paying bills, mortgage, insurance, money for food, health care etc) That stuff does get boring fast especially when thats all 95% of the adult population talks about....and yea while the money job and family part is important it gets old when thats ALL people talk and care about! Its like being a programmed robot. So its god sent when people having special hobbies regardless of what it is. It makes our world more interesting.
  11. ^Im actually in Florida now.(i've been in Florida since the 15th of this month and will be here until Feb 17th.Getting away from the Chicago winter for a while!) Its pretty warm here. Almost seems like summer However I know the weather tends to vary here. I heard its suppose to get cooler here next week and I dont know how it will be when I go to Seaworld. Still Im sure Kraken will be a lot fun of regardless. Plus we will be there during the day.
  12. Nope. Not in school anymore (thank flipping god!) Do you watch The Big Bang Theory?
  13. Hello darkness my old friend......
  14. I dont get why Vortex gets so much hate. I really enjoyed that coaster but thats just me.
  15. I must be a coaster nerd if I know what Arnolds Park is which I do. Never been there but still. While most people know of Disney World or Cedar Point and Im sure a lot of people know of Holiday World,Im sure only very little know or heard of Arnolds Park. Now imagine a Lucy's Amusement Park fan! Oh and as for that smelly person in line. Omg! I so know of that smell!! That moldy mop smell!! Thats one of the worst smells ever! and its hard to tell where its coming from! Its like a mix of butt and arm pit! So gross
  16. Thanks for explaining. Why would he do something like that?? Its like when you dont watch a toddler every second of the day they will run off and get into things or go places they arnt suppose to go to. Except this "toddler" is like 5 to 6 feet tall....
  17. ^If you dont mind explaining what is the Twister Hike?
  18. The most fun motion simulator ride I been on was this on at Mall of America when it was Camp Snoopy back in the Spring of 2000. I don't remember the name of it though or even what it was themed to but I remember it almost felt like real forces happening oppose to be just moving side to side in a big metal box. lol. It even went upside down too. Even though those Maxiflight coasters go upside down for some reason I remember enjoying the MOA simulator a lot more. Another interesting simulator I seen that wasn't so much as fun but more interesting was this kiddie one at one of those Wal-mart mini arcade centers. It was a coin operated kiddie ride that looked like a coaster car with a CRT monitor attached to it. On the screen you had a choice of choosing from one of like the 4 coaster simulator programs. All the "coasters" were to Cedar Point coasters! It would then move along with the motion of the coaster on the screen. Im sure most seen those before anyways. The dork that I am got into it anyways of course barely fitting in it. This back in like 2006 or 2007. I got some interesting looks......lol It was meh...ok...but its a kiddie ride what do you expect. It was truly the Super Poor Man's Cedar Point! Ride 4 CP coasters for a dollar! Its ALMOST as good as the real thing!!!!!! not really.....I think I picked Gemini by the way if I remember. Riding it just made me wish i was at the real Cedar Point. lol
  19. ^All I can now picture is 70 mph B.O flying though the air...... Oh dear god poor souls you have to be that close to someone who smells that bad. I even feel bad for the people who are there after them too ,as they leave behind a stench, and that bad smell then gets in the persons clothes and suddenly you have some random strangers B.O stuck to you. For god sakes shower people!! How can you be that lazy?!?! and i admit i can be pretty lazy myself but man is that just to far! yuck......
  20. I been thinking about this rant but keep forgetting to write it down. When you are at an amusement park and are with someone who takes forever in the bathroom each time!! You want to ride roller coasters but instead have to wait on your slow as a snail friend/friends! You think they fell into the toilet or got lost or something.... and this isnt even number 2 but number 1! also the there could be no lines for the bathroom and they still take forever. Another thing some people take forever to do....get on their swim suits! even when dry! Things like going pee or changing into my swim suit takes less then a minute for me but seems to take others like 5 to 10 mins....and its not just amusement parks either its anywhere and everywhere. Also its not just me who is impatient I once waiting on someone with someone else and I could clearly see them twiddling their thumbs in an annoyed matter as they keep rolling their eyes too. At one point I thought she was gonna hit her head against the fridge she was standing near by!
  21. I honestly want to know what makes one nerdy because they like coasters so much anyways. I mean coasters bring joy to a big majority of people and they are just fun. Its not like coasters are this weird thing.
  22. ^^When I went to Cedar Point I remember seeing one of those. I was tempted to ride it but didnt feel to well and didnt want to get dizzy. However that ride looks a lot of fun. It looks more fun then your typical spinning ride. Also I remember going on a kiddie version of it at the fair where the tubs were shaped like demolition derby cars.I remember seeing like 5 different kids at once crying on said ride and here I am like why??? just why...??? I wonder if those kids grew up to be coaster/thrill ride enthusiasts or not :/
  23. ^^It seems to happen any time there is a big gathering of "nerds" and "geeks" I never been to a convention before but as an example I heard and read about the horror stories that go on at events like animecons, bronycons, comiccons, etc. Everything from not bathing,to stalking and creeping,to harassing others and down right insulting others. Invading others personal spaces. Causing fights. Getting kicked out, etc. Obviously not all nerds and geeks are like this but I wonder what is with these type events that does attract such odd people. I know myself can come off as odd and different but a lot of the stuff I read about all these type of events makes scratched my head and ask wtf?? Im actually surprised to hear this happens in the coaster community I just thought it was only a "weeb" or "brony" type thing but I guess its common in all special interests groups.
  24. I actually never had Panda Express before. Im guessing Panda Express is to Chinese as Taco Bell is to Mexican?
