Two New Rides at Castle Park in 2008
RCFreak replied to biosciking's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
My first TR was the right way so lol just kidding great pics! Usually I don't take my camera (as a trip to CP is always a last minute decision) and it's usually dark by then. The pics end up not so good with a phone's camera. This is the park I grew up with and sadly(?) most of the rides are the exact same, so it's good to see new rides come in. the only thing I have no idea about those flyers. Out of the two or three times I've been on them, they have all had different speeds each time so I wonder if weight is a factor in it? Sucks to hear about the new coaster though, it didn't seem like much, but I'm sure if they ran it a little faster it would be a lot better. -
I filled up last night at a gas station that had the cheap stuff for $1.95 and I think I cried a little bit.

Shooting Pyros from the framework of a Giant Wheel??

That link doesn't work, but I found this video which I assume is the same thing you are trying to show and it's freaking awesome! It's probably not the same video either as the fireworks start at 1:03 in this vid and seems to be from an official DVD of the event (also featuring some mild language for those easily offended) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gB6cYA4BSI -
How do I put my Coaster Count in my signature?
RCFreak replied to ajinaz's topic in Random, Random, Random
^Don't feel like an idiot, that setting is actually missing in the profile settings. It used to eb there, but I guess it wasn't put back on one of the forum updates (I would assume the programers of this site have that control?) For the time being just keep clicking that little box each time you post and I'm sure it will get taken care of. -

But it's not like the drop is that steep. I think that and the huge pad they usually stick on them should be more then enough. -
HAHA I love this TR! I know we didn't hang out too much, but I had a blast from what we did, and can't wait for next year. I may even show more like Piers lol.

I just want to say that unless someone from upper management (or maybe a government inspector) wants to chime in, don't just automatically assume they're knocking it down just because they can. not to say they wouldn't, but maybe with the collapse of the roof on the Log Ride Cedar Fair is going through and getting rid of anything that may become a problem in the near future. At least I really really hope that's the case lol. Here's to hoping whatever replaces it will be a worthy replacement (but I'm not holding my breathe...)

Robb Alvey's 30 Pounds in 30 Days - 2008!
RCFreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
You know the thing I hate the most about the Wii Fit is that I would do a body test, do a couple of quick excersies, then do the body test again and lose like 2 punds in like 15 minutes. I know it's normal to fluctuate druing the day that much, but I don't think 15 minutes is enough time. Unless I took a suprememly massive dump or something, which I didn't at the time. -
AAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA maybe it's just me, but I think that's one of the best acronyms ever! Sounds like evryone is constipated or retarded. As for what I'm most looking forward too, That would probably be Terminator at SFMM. I love GCII coasters (including Gwazi) and it'll be great having one within two hours from me.

^What I think so many people love isn't so much that it's related to The Wizard of Oz as much as it's that the title character. Elphaba, is *THE* Ultimate Outcast, she's the fat kid, the gay kid, the emo teen, the kid who was the victim of the "popular" crowd in school, the ugly kid, etc. The entire show is about acceptance and overcomming major obstacles. It's about becoming the person who you want to be, not who some else wants you to be. The entire production is just so over the top from the sets and costumes and the range that the performances need from the two leads, which isn't the most demanding, but makes for a damn good show. That said, I really want to see it again lol.

I think I've only posted in here like twice, but that's me in my avatar early in the morning. I'm definitely not a morning person, especially when it's "4AM" and having just drank the night before. Mmmm Alcohol "I'm all wet" or "Why you shouldn't sit in the front with 10 other TPR members in the same log on Splash Mountain." I like my new hoodie, it's very comfortable.

No, they're both clearly already built with enough room for the Main and Safety's before the station. -
Clicking the link, it's a good two hours from LA in Victorville at the San Bernardino County farigrounds. Kinda wish I would have seen this earlier, Victorville isn't too far from me and it sounds like a decent maze.

The Motorola RAZR should have a small SD slot on the side of the phone. Simply insert the card and move the pictures on the phone over to the card. Once that's done, you can insert the Micro-SD into the adaptor and insert the adaptor into the memory card reader. Your computer will read the memory card and you can then open it as a folder and copy the pictures onto your computer then upload them to the site. However, I doubt any pictures from a RAZR would be too spectacular, it doesn't have the best phone camera available.

e-mail them to yourself if you don't have a memory card and card reader. Target sells a 1 GB micro-SD card for $10 and a $5 SD Card reader if you want to go that route for those without unlimited multimedia messaging and want to do this more often.

lol honestly that's the first I've heard of the place since it was announced howeevr long ago. I had no idea it was open already! Very nice pics, the place does look really well themed, and the attractions do look pretty pathetic. Thanks for sharing!

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
RCFreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I thought Troy at Toverland was amazing and it was only 10' taller, 1 mile per hour faster, and 565' longer, which to me says I'll probably really really enjoy this ride. GCI has a great way of making "shorter" rides feel pretty long and the speed looks to be good throughout with those weird airtime transitions that I am a big fan of. Bring on Terminator! (which was filmed in the New Mexico desert, so I don't know why people are complaining about the theme that much)
