But at the same time when they say "I vote ____ because ___" it could very well be becuase that party more follows what they do believe as a _____, at least at the current time at least. I don't doubt many do vote by what they are told by those closest to them (be it Church, parents, friends, favorite teacher, favorite blog, throwing darts at a board) but to make that generalization is just as bad as the kids who do. It's all misinformation being thrown about. Unless you ask them why being a _____ makes them vote for _____ you can't be sure and you shouldn't assume.

Oh great, I just dowloaded Opera again... Google chrome gets a big meh from me right now, I don't notice much of a difference, definitely not enough to get me to switch from Opera right now (neither did any version of Firefox for that matter).

Great seperate but equal, glad we know it's worked so well throughout history lol. I'm glad you are willing to sacrifice your personal rights for the "greater good," (only reason it's in quotes is you said there were more important things then these issues for you and they differ greatly from my "greater goods" not as a knock on your views) And let yourself, and other homosexuals, be discriminated against upon stereotypes on both sides (homosexuals being "soft" and all straight guys hating all gays tot he point of violence). Gay men and women are still serving in the military, and a lot of the times their unit actually knows but doesn't say anything because of DADT. I could definitely see the usefulness when it was enacted in 1993, but the time has definitely passed for it's usefulness. This rant of mine is definitely getting OT (but not really cause it's all tied into my vote for Obama or Mickey Mouse lol) but I would suggest watching this 60 minutes (and the second part) for some more on the subject. But it's definitely not just Gay Marriage for me and many homosexuals voting in this election that is at stake (which is a pretty big deal in my book any way and I'm glad I live in California, NO on Prop 8!!), it's also DADT as mentioned, and finally getting the Matthew Shepard Act passed to name a few GLBT/ Civil Rights issues at hand. Again, it may not be that important to you, but these are just as important to me as lowering gas prices. It DOES affect my way of everyday life and while I don't particularly like either candidate, and politics in general for all the mudslinging that goes around, I usually lean Democrat and Liberal while voting. Hell, my vote may not even go to the President this year if I can't make up my mind between the "lesser of two evils", but I WILL be voting on at least the other issues that I have made up my mind about. I believe that while one person won't make a huge difference in any election, thousands of people who think that, will. Remember, you don't have to vote on every issue, you can leave it blank. The important thing is to at least get your vote in for the things that do matter to you and your voice be heard instead of just bitching about it later.

^If people can survive living in Southern California in the summer and it's pollution, I'm sure CHina isn't much worse lol. I'm glad you guys made it over safe and in one piece and I hope it stays that way the rest of the trip! -
You may also have issues at Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, and possibly Blue streak and Mean Streak. The first two having shorter belts, and the latter two having small-ish(sideways) seats. Also, if you have a larger upper body are, in addition to Raptor and Wicked Twister already mentioned, you may find trouble at Corkscrew (especially with the added seatbelts but it's been a few years since I was there last so any of this information might change) Take all of the above with grain of salt though as everyone is built different and these are just some of the problems I noticed larger people have while working the rides.

B&M Zero-G Elements Question
RCFreak replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I always thought the two inversions on Maverick weren't called a corkscrew or Zero-G since it was a combination of both (at least that's what it looked like to me, half a corkscrew, half zero-g, turn into half zero-G into half corkscrew? Eh whatever, It definitely has to do with how fast the zero-G roll is actually taken/ designed in regards to how it feels (The slower zero-G on Silver Bullet is just as fun as the zero-G on Scream! IMO) -

I like knowing who voted for who! uh, i think I know Kraken613 the least so he gets my vote that and he's from NC, what good out of there? -
Any mom that says, "I'll pimp him out, whatever I have to do" about her son is a winner in my book! lol I also like Annita and Arthur, but none of the other teams really stand out to me. Whatever, I'll still watch like I always do when I remember.

The bedroom. Oh you meant as in fast food? Hmmm I don't like much, but In-N-Out is good, I can pretty much find something anywhere but usually don't go if it's not someone else's idea.

Photo TR: Six Flags St. Louis, City Museum and More!
RCFreak replied to dj snow's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
That Museum kicks butt! yet another thing to add to my "places to visit before I die" list. Thanks so much for sharing. -
SFMM still uses the ticket system (four flash passes per sheet) that can be used in any combination (one person four rides, four people one ride, two people two rides, etc...) and you can get as many as your wallet will support. I wouldn't really worry about having to get a second one either as many schools in the area are now back in session.

B&M vs Intamin
RCFreak replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As stated, MF is a Giga coaster, not a Hyper, but even if it was, that title would then go to Morgan for SD2K at 318'. I'm pretty sure this thread is called B&M Vs. Intamin not B&M Vs. Intamin Vs. Every other coaster manufacture. The point being he's comparing B&M to Intamin as it is what this whole thread is about. I'm personally a much bigger fan of Intamin then of B&M as stated many times before, they take bigger risks in their designs (like the fact they had to remove an inversion for pulling to many lateral Gs on one of their designs) -
I would say do Busch Gardens and the Universal parks. Sea World is fun and all, but I think if you're skipping Disney this time, you'll be back and Sea World will probably still be around. I would say on the day you do the waterpark you could also do some more at the Universal parks and Citywalk; plus combo multi-day tickets are sometimes cheaper if you find the right deals.
