  1. How are Top Scan's common... Like before this year there were 2 permanent installations in NA. I really liked my one ride on Carowind's version and would love to have more throughout the chain as a lot of the parks don't have a ton of thrill rides outside of coasters and the occasional frisbee, Screamin' Swing, and Top Scan which are starting to get the axe.
  2. When literally any roller coaster that is relatively large is being removed, people expect it to go to KK. No hate or anything but it's just not realistic
  3. Front row, night ride on Fury 325. Probably the best coaster experience I've had.
  4. Had a surprisingly good ride on Flight of Fear at Kings Island, last one wasn't to great
  5. cringe... It clearly states that TPR requires a sense of humor and everything should stay around PG-13. If a kid gets on TPR, that's there choice. And I bet a lot of us remember swearing like we were so cool from probably 10 on.
  6. ^^ Ugh I miss Mako and Manta. Kraken too. All three are the best of their class that I have ridden. Incredible theming on Manta and Mako, Kraken just has a kick a$$ layout. Mako has the best airtime on a B&M hyper Anyways, my last ride was on Banshee at KI, but will be heading back next Tuesday to de-stress from finals.
  7. You always have the best sarcastic posts! I just know you've been on Skyrush and I305, so it's blasphemous to see any of those looping B&Ms ahead of those two. *IMO* Implying Montu or Kumba don't deserve to be on the list. Kumba is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I followed Coasterbill's advice to sit back right. Easily the best zero-g roll of all time.
  8. I'd say it's much more similar to RCT3, although much more complex. It's locked to a grid, but nearly all parts are able to be shortened or lengthened. It's got limitations, but it's pretty great and fits the classic style.
  9. So is that supposed to be a dive machine or something into an underwater shark? It looks like Krake on steroids.
  10. I honestly thought the first picture was a rendering, that section of the park looks gorgeous. I've only been once and it was 2015's HitP so I wasn't able to get down there/couldn't see anything in the back half of the park. Literally got scarily dark once you go past Goliath.
  11. Dragster during the launch in the back shakes a little, nothing awful, but noticeable. Front is ridiculously smooth though.
  12. Giant Frisbee's have a rattle? I've never noticed on the NA models, one I literally rode Saturday. But I also didn't notice Banshee had one because I cared more about the giant amazing inversions than a slight shake. And yeah, I need to go to Liseberg, my family has Gothenburg as one of the final contestants on where we go in Europe either this summer or early fall. But there is still London, Berlin, and Dublin and I've been vouching for Berlin and London.
  13. And not sure what problems are rampant with SF? From a business perspective they are doing extremely well and have less than half of the debt CF has. There is a reason Wall Street loves SF. I'm not talking about fiscal, but rather the guest experience part. A lot of Six Flags seem to have bad guest service, bad/uncaring ops and employees, and pretty unclean and unattractive parks littered with ads and completely lacking the small park charm. It's not completely chain wide but I've been to some of the best parks, and I still run into issues with bad ops all the time and unenforced rule breaking.
  14. What parks can they honestly purchase or lease? I don't think CF is willing to give up any of their property, neither is a large majority of the smaller independent parks. A lot pride themselves not being corporate or fall to a lot of the problems that are rampant in SF. I could see the waterpark purchases, but the obvious 3 dry parks still have contracts with leasing. One park I could eventually see being sold off again, to any buyer really, would be Kentucky Kingdom.
  15. While it still doesn't qualify as "ejector", if you're looking for airtime at Kings Island and you're riding Diamondback in the front and not the back then you're doing it wrong. I know, I ride backseat nearly every time I go as well as front. The airtime is great floater the entire first half but front has better airtime after the MCBR.
  16. I went to the park on Saturday and up until about 3 the park was really quiet. Got on most of the coasters at least twice after getting in the park around 11 and slowing down when lines started to get long around 4. Diamondback still kicks absolute a$$ in the front, same with Banshee. But obviously the main thing to note is Mystic Timbers. Got two rides on this awesome coaster, one in the front and one towards the back. Really like what theming there was to the ride and overall thought the Rivertown looks really good except for the section around Tomb Raider. That box just ruins the area and that area in general doesn't feel right. Next thing I noticed was how fast the line moved, ride ops were great and dispatches were fast. Getting on the ride, the trains seemed different from the ones on American Thunder and Thunderhead where they have cushioned seats where I can describe the material on MT's as similar to a B&M hypers or most modern steel coaster padding. The drop is absolutely awesome, and is just a ton of fun. The airtime coming off the short turn over the lift was a ton of fun followed by the awesome set of hills and turns before the turn around. I can't wait till the trees grow in more and the track ends up being more covered. The returning air is good but the ride seems to be over so quickly after the turnaround. Heading into the shed had some good audio and theming and for a transfer and storage track it was pretty good. I got Maneater my first time and got both the tree and bat endings. My overall opinions of the ride are super solid. I think it's not only a great family coaster but one of the best GCIs, probably my second favorite non-RMC wood coaster behind the Voyage. The airtime and smoothness are unparalleled by anything by Outlaw Run and Goliath and I found it a quite bit more fun and exciting than Thunderhead. Great addition to my home park and will be enjoying it again this Sunday and many other times this year. Only thing I really noticed after not being at Kings Island for close to a year was the severe lack of ejector airtime, but that ultimately is super small and me being an entitled "enthusiast" I do hope though that whatever coaster KI adds next it was have some ridiculous ejector but overall very happy with the current shape of the park.
  17. Giga: Fury 325 Hyper: Skyrush Hybrid: Medusa Steel Coaster Invert: Banshee Woodies: El Toro and Mystic Timbers Launched: Maverick Other: Flying Dinosaur Kumba Formula Rossa
  18. I'm torn on it because I don't count conversions or relocations because it's "same track, same credit" but with Hulk it is nearly the same ride experience even though its a new track. I'm just gonna wait until I ride it and decide if it was different enough from when I rode it a few years ago.
  19. Make it a dueling style dark ride where there are two tracks for each team where you see each other occasionally and compete for the win. Make it slightly variable and dynamic. Allow each person to choose a hero. Whoever gets the most points gets play of the game, etc. Would be super great
  20. Wodan due to theming, followed very closely by Blue Fire Alton Towers
  21. More Florida Park list just keeps growing. I wasn't able to go when I went last fall and stuck to Sea World and BGT, but I really need to get out to the Funspots when I come back to Disney for Star Wars and Toy Story Land (and everything else because I've only been to MK)
  22. Literally all the talk of Skyrush really makes me sad I wasn't able to ride it. I'm in my last year of high school right now and early March we had our yearly choir tour. This year it was to New York and besides spending 1/3 of our free time in Forever 21 where we have 3 within 10 miles it was a great time. On our way back we stopped at Hershey's Chocolate World and Skyrush looked ridiculously good. The Stengel Dive going under the lift is completely ingrained in my mind and I need to go back there and ride it.
