  1. Can someone tell me what is different between Euro-fighters and Infinity Coasters?
  2. Exactly one month till this beast is up and running, so excited!
  3. I'm pretty sure enthusiasts say every park is out of room............ Except Kings Island
  4. I went on Shockwave at SFOT with the VR. The queue was kept rather short (20 minutes) due to a voucher system where you came back at a certain time similar to Hogsmead at Universal Studios Japan. Obviously, the restraints were very comfy as are most of that breed of coaster. At first I thought the chinstrap was going to be awkward or uncomfortable but it was rather fine. The interactive part of the lift was fun and a nice distraction. The drop felt very exaggerated and well done, the loops were obviously very forceful but felt not very aircraft like, like they were taken to fast or should have been bigger. I know that would have been impossible to pull off but it took a little away from the immersion. The rest of the ride was very nice with lots of twists, turns, and airtime that was well incorporated. I only have three nitpicks 1. It de-synced for about 5 seconds during the turn around into the first drop and that made my head hurt a little, probably doesn't happen much though 2. Little/no sound 3. Nothing to look at on the brake run, just a black screen that tells you to keep your headset on.
  5. I only know because of Joel from Vinesauce did a video from it, absolutely amazing
  6. Not 100% sunset, but Over Texas closed at 7 PM Easter Sunday and I didn't take enough pictures the day prior.
  7. Purdue has been my main choice for the longest time. I know the mechanical engineering program is going to kick my ass but it's really what I want to do.
  8. Well it had to be moved because something a little more important is going to go there. Just saying. Oh and whomever said that they'd like an inverted at the park may be getting their wish soon as that's the big rumor going around backstage regarding the 2017 coaster. Over in Grand Expo it sounds like Well, B&M did make that family invert that looked a lot like a Vekoma over in Asia. They have a launch system. So, I'm going with launched family invert. Might as well add aquatrax to that
  9. Georgia Cyclone at Over Georgia, was gonna be Batman:TR but broke down
  10. Yeah, it seems that bigger is not nearly better when it comes to stand-ups. I haven't ridden either Vortex's but I have ridden Georgia Scorcher and thought it was actually really fun, especially because of all the twists.
  11. No, PETA does stuff, just not really anything good How exactly is mass euthanizing of shelter animals you are so for exactly the right thing?
  12. I'm heading down to OT late March so I'll ride Shockwave once without the VR to get the original experience and then try it with the VR. If I like it, I'll probably end up trying it when I make my way out east for SFNE.
  13. I have a few, but I'll just do two. First off, my first time on the Beast before I was an enthusiast was an absolute blast. I was riding with some GP friends and we were scared going up and laughing the entire way. But when we hit the helix, poo hit the fan. We hit a HUGE jolt entering the turn and we all hit our heads. One friend literally ruptured his ear (he went to the hospital about a week later) Still it was an absolutely awesome ride. The other time was on Gemini last year, it was only my dad and I. We were on one of the slower turnarounds and the trains were neck and neck. Next thing you know, at least 4 people from each train reached out and were able to hold hands with someone from the other train. The held on for a good 5+ seconds before the next drop.
  14. Throw in Max-Air! I don't care if it's pretty much the same as Delirium, has a better cycle in my opinion, I just think Delirium's setting is better.
  15. I'm not going to be to critical but that airtime hill is either gonna give a really good pop of floater or none at all like the Gatekeeper hill, I'm hoping for the first.
  16. Imagine how less heavy it is compared to the Dragster and Ka trains It probably needs to have less mass because of the LSM launch, not as powerful as a hydraulic launch, but more reliable.
  17. The Arrow Pipeline coaster would've probably beat the crap out of you but I just love the prototype for some reason, really fascinating.
  18. What day did you go because I went on a very similar day last year? we could've gone the same day!
