  1. Well yeah but Chance isn't exactly an internationally super popular manufacturer, most of their rides are flat rides in the US market and so are most their coasters with of course the occasional exception.
  2. Energylandia is not holding s*it back...
  3. I can't put my finger on any specific coaster, but for me just roughness isn't enough to make a bad coaster. Usually roughness comes with age or cheap price, but what makes a BAD coaster for me is something that they spent lots of money on but it ends up having no force, no sense of acceleration, no thrill
  4. But probably they should take into account that Intamin's aren't exactly the masters of reliability so I'm gonna say that the intamin could cost more to run
  5. I rode the Original X like three times when I visited England in primary school on a school field trip and i remember thinking it was one of the coolest things i've ever done for some reason, but the stops where it would stop, move forward, stop and with those smoke jet effects, i just really liked it. I've unfortunately only been to Thorpe after the transformation.
  6. It's most likely new since it's very tall compared to some other gyro-swings and it has brand new lapbars
  7. The Loke record is such a marketing trick. It's not the tallest pendulum/giant frisbee ride in europe, but it's the tallest gyro swing! that's probably because it's only the second gyro swing in europe
  8. I think it's very interesting that for the doomsday destroyer they went with an Intamin Double Hammer instead of the more common zamperla hawk or sbf spacegun but it's interesting to see them with new restraints.
  9. If that's true, i can't wait for symbolica! I have to go to efteling in 2018!
  10. Most of the fairgrounds in Finland have a ticket average of 5€ (5.6$), but most of them have a writsband of about 30€ (33.6$), but compared to static amusement/themeparks in Finland that's almost criminally high, not the ticket price but the wristband since a small fair can be 30€ while Linnanmäki is 37-39€
  11. Geez Vekoma I already thought you were stepping up your game but this is a bit much don't you think
  12. From the video it looks so much smoother than previous SLC's
  13. Translated to english: -"All good things come to an end, so does Kieppi's career in Linnanmäki. Come enjoy the last kieppi's (kieppi is an untranslatable word for a flip) during september-october." So apparently Linnanmäki is getting rid of their HUSS Booster, which is odd because: A: It's only 13 years old B: It's extremely reliable and has barely any downtime C: It's extremely popular
  14. I still have no clue how millenium force is #2 and used to be #1
  15. So IIK!WEEK is done, and it was amazing There were zombies roaming around, scaring people, the ambience was changed, new horror theming, horror themed food, etc. I didn't get to do the specific for this event horror maze, only 2 people were let in at once and the queue was 2 hours long. The permanent horror maze Linnanmäki has "kammokuja" which usually has you go through with 3d glasses, the walls being painted in uv colours and the uv lights lighting the halls, well this time they had turned all the lights off, added fog, zombie actors and you had to walk through carrying only a lantern for light. It was amazing, atmospheric, scary. The "Taikasirkus" family circus ride was now just called "Sirkus" and the entrance looked like this: The inside had a corrupted version of the usual soundtrack with all the clowns being somehow clearly dead yet alive, the audience pictures had either their eyes or mouths crossed out and there were dead dolls scattered across. Live actor clowns would come and shake your car, laugh at you, etc. The witch train was the usual witch train but there were a few live actors there to spice things up. The scenic railway had something done to it as well actually, at the end of the ride the train enters a tunnel, the tunnel is filled with fog and red/orange lights to make it look like the tunnel is burning, after that a forest demon of some sort comes out. The Linnunrata Extra VR Coaster had a special horror VR animation, which was AMAZING. You and everyone else ride in an old antique chair and a sorcerer lifts you up and takes you through a haunted mansion, but demons kill the sorcerer and you fly above a forest, a village, in a cave, etc. There were some more mentionable things, but this was really quite something and ill be sure to come here again every year for the event!
  16. They probably haven't since the current model still sells. They probably would do it if asked, though
  17. I think the park would argue that Pipe Scream is their spinning coaster. Speaking of pipe scream, did you notice I said 17 coasters and not 18
  18. Here's a question: Cedar Point has 17 rollercoasters, 17, and so far not one is a spinning coaster. What?
  19. "with riders stuck upside down" They were stuck on a vertical lift and now theres the calling for permanent shutdown again...
  20. OOooh an indoor suspended topspin!
  21. Manitou is an inverted Zamperla Discovery which explains part of why it's so weak
  22. Great report, I wish I could get out to the US some time and do smaller parks like this one. and sorry to be a nitpicking asshat but the topspin isn't a HUSS it's a Moser
  23. Gröna lund, then Linnanmäki EEK!WEEK keep an eye out for the photo tr
  24. The new restraints suit the wing coasters well but for instance a dive coaster, not so much.
