  1. Aw fellow Finn! I would be there literally the weekened after!
  2. Other cars, running around would most likely be deemed too dangerous to do by the park.
  3. Linnanmäki has announced that they're organizing a fright-fest type week called "IIK!WEEK" (pronounced eekweek) It will be held in september 3 to september 11 and might become an annual event along with the festival of light. -General theme of the park will have spooky effects added to it with roaming live actors -A 12+ horror maze attraction will be separately built into an old building in the park, this will be open daily during the event and is free if you have a wristband and costs two tickets if you dont have one (2 tickets = 16€). You can't reserve a spot in the horror maze, you must queue like everyone else. -A zombie parade, with zombies roaming the park during one of the saturdays, these live actors will even be going on rides -A surprise in the tunnel of the scenic railway -The dodgems will have clowns chasing people -Monorail will get themed -The witch-themed ghost train hotel will get live actor witches scaring people during their rides -The family friendly magic circus dark ride will now have clowns roaming around to annoy and spook guests -The parks walkthrough horror ride "Kammokuja" will also have live actors in it -The VR Coaster will have a new horror themed film on it -The Kingi free fall tower can now be ridden blindfolded -Restaurants will be themed to spooky theming -And much more This is very exciting as this is the first Finnish park to do something like this, but then again Linnanmäki would be the obvious choice since they pull in incredible amounts of tourists annually.
  4. That makes the layout slightly restrictive though, as it does with the system that 4d coasters use, since the gondola can only spin some 270 degrees.
  5. That's not really a definition of a family coaster. Little kids go on literally anything theyre tall enough to go on
  6. Well they aren't high thrill but they certainly aren't family rides
  7. I don't get how a 90 degree twist makes this "not a family ride." Especially when we know NOTHING about this coaster. There are plenty of family rides out there with some quick transitions, and inversions. Well okay i get that now, but let's say it won't be a very light family ride at the least
  8. Can u explain where u see the 90 degree twist, make a circle in the picture plz. Kind regards. MrRC
  9. ^ Noticed a 90 degree twist, so this wont be a family ride unless it's a swinger or something idk
  10. I mean it does require a level of engineering to get it be that high and stable, so as long as it's not Fabbri building it I'm in!
  11. For everyone who's been on it, do you think it was a bit overhyped or did it meet the expectations perfectly? I just want to know before i go
  12. No, but more like getting into the ambience and stuff. If you go to a nice small town and get comfortable in a café and then suddenly a protest group rolls by yelling loudly, it's gonna break the mood. I mean it in that kind of a way of immersino. When the theming is good enough you don't feel like you're in a field in the middle of nowherre
  13. I'd get it if it weren't for the fact that if you wait an hour for each ride, how many rides can you actually do during one day, and if it weren't for the fact that all the parks where it bothers are parks that have cattlepen queues with no theming. And besides, an hour long conversation is a *looong* conversation. The point being that it kind of breaks the immersion. (but most places where this is a problem don't have immersion in the first place, sooo)
  14. I don't understand actually how anyone can have a good time at a park where you have to queue more than an hour for rides...
  15. Topscans have a bigger motors compared to weight and it actually has a properly weighted counterweight
  16. On the SLC maybe but i've experienced no discomfort on SFC's, however i have not ridden the older SFCs (The ones with over-shoulder restraints)
  17. I haven't really been on any intamin water rides with belts, but are they different from the ones intamin usually uses? The click-in, squeeze out ones? Also sidenote the actual problem rather is the fact that velcro can open by itself, not that it's easy to open but it's not really fail safe
  18. It really doesn't need to be torn down like probably a lot of people on facebook are yelling for, but what it certainly needs is a bit of re-engineering when they find out the full details on the accident, cause who said it couldn't happen again if they don't do something about the design. EDIT: Continuation: ...to get people back to the park, since it's been proven before that people won't go on it again unless they do something to it, which makes perfect sense
  19. PPAR FLIPCOASTER Introducing the flipcoaster A short-train multi-launch flipping experience with unpredictable g-forces and twists! Sit on floorless wings that turn and flip to give you a flying and freefalling experience! Multiple trains keep the capacity high even with low capacity per train, dispatch is fast! And here's an onride-offride video showing off the concept! (Track is a clone model track available, custom models are also possible.) [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  20. I 100% agree and i'm on the boat of hoping that whatever is happening at the Vekoma plant right now is going to be a suspended-resurrection. Suspended coasters can be really fun and out of control feeling, and can be family friendly at the same time.
  21. Happy for any place getting more coasters! The only company who makes coasters in Canada I can come up with is the one that's making the SFX coaster in Ferrari World, if im not wrong
  22. This is officially the tallest frisbee ride there is, if it can be counted as one (id say it is)
  23. I personally don't get the "magic" of Disney parks, but I get how one could get the magic, my problem was exactly the whole youhavetoplanliterallyeverything aspect and the fact that it's too crowded to actually feel immersed.
  24. Im hoping the kids will be fine, but how the hell does even happen? How the heck did the gondolas get stuck like that?
