  1. You're confusing this for the T-Rex concept. That will still become a reality. It will use a wider single-rail track, hence the wider trains. I would imagine the T-Rex would have two seats in a row rather than back to back/in-line like WestCoaster suggested. I think they were talking about this design:
  2. I did say it might be country dependent/region dependent (because some places do have lots and lots of B&M's covering their big rides selection so of course there's less variety to choose a top 10 out of) but of course parks would rather get a reliable B&M quality product that everyone likes rather than let's say an Intamin coaster that will have stronger reactions but be more unreliable. What my point was that most people while they might like a coaster anyway they still find the same coasters we find more fun, more fun as well, because it's not like when a person becomes an enthusiast suddenly the parts in their brain that regulate all your happy chemicals just suddenly decide "it's harder for you to have fun now" That was probably a confusing read
  3. No idea if it's country dependent but while they might not know terms regarding forces, airtime, etc. they actually do matter to them. Trust me, the GP thinks a ride is much more fun if it has pops of airtime, forceful turns and fun inversions (of course depends on person). After all, people go on coasters to have fun, not to have bragging rights.
  4. One of the selling points of this ride should be a bigger, more intense shockwave but I guess they've neutered it, though considering it's old and used no wonder.
  5. Just hoping that the program won't be too neutered, although realistically it'll still be fun because unlike a top scan this is probably a bit harder to make "less fun". Realistically no-one can or should expect a ride like they give on fairgrounds because if you look at one in the travelling videos this ride model sways let's say a bit
  6. Considering the restraints look like a copy of zamperla restraints, it looks like the tower is made from old ladders and there's no air pressure/magnets/emergency braking system i'd assume it's made by some slightly let's say "cheap" manufacturer. (for some reason most knockoff/cheap manufacturers copy zamperla's restraints???)
  7. You mean inverted strata aqua trax? No I think they meant inverted flying infinity intamin prefab woodie
  8. Trust me, the Finnish theme park community got a bit worried after that video, but that video was filmed on a press day when they spun it on multiple different programs. (And tbh the editing of the video is terrible, the audio is from one run and the clips are from here and there) It does actually spin quite fast (not as fast as the fair versions obviously) but it still does at the very start and end of the ride. There's not a full video out of the program yet but you can see the spinning at the start in this instagram video Or this snowy youtube video [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] (Yes, these two videos are literally a day apart. On that day it for some reason just snowed the whole day even though it was nearly may)
  9. Thanks for the report! Really seems like a lovely park with quite a selection of unique rides!
  10. I just recently watched a vid that included a shot from behind the launch of KDK and holy hell the train shakes like a visible 5-10cm in the rear like how is that even healthy
  11. It'll probably be one of those that check for updates if there's internet connection available I'm guessing, since that would make the most sense for planet coaster
  12. The reason I thought it'd specifically be the new intamin model like dragekongen is that it uses the exact same train design, but who knows
  13. Reading this thread I suddenly feel privileged that the longest queue i've experienced is 45 minutes and even that felt like torture...
  14. Do I spot an intamin family inverted coaster in those concepts
  15. Sorry triple post but the ride's name got revealed and the park released pictures and video: Magia It's certainly interesting looking as all the previous instances of the model have had those plexiglass things in the middle and this just has platform There's a short testing video on facebook that doesn't include the whole cycle or the arm rising up to it's top position [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  16. I didn't know if my conversions are correct but by what I've seen the general max height for European manufacturers is either 2 metres or 195cm
  17. Slightly offtopic but on the video I hear something like "please remain seated" my question is why do some parks (by what i've gathered, north-american parks) have these announcements for any rides where you physically can't do anything besides be seated like on this? Like I understand such an announcement on like a mack powered coaster or teacups or a boat ride or something?
  18. Which manufacturer made this starflyer? The tower is square and Funtime that tends to do most of the park versions of this ride, they haven't done square towers for years on years, plus the swing configuration is odd.
  19. The ride has begun testing and will be opened to the public on the 28th when the park opens at 16:00. A select group of raffle winners were chosen to test ride the new ride an hour before the park opens, of which there will be footage of. Luckily the ride isn't running on a "park" program and has gone full speed! The rotating arm is black and white, the seats are red and the spinning platform is black with yellow dots. Here's hoping it'll play music.
  20. By what I've understood (and if my conversions from metres are correct) the max height for most manufacturers for riders is 6.5 feet so you're probably just out of luck on that department
  21. Yeah it's a Swedish thing with a couple locations outside sweden, 2 in denmark, 4 in norway and 7 in Dubai for some reason.
  22. ^ And doesn't Wodan have fire on the top of the lift or something
