  1. Another odd question Does anybody know if there are any cruiseships with a fastfood chain sailing on it like mcdonalds or burger king or kfc or whatever? Because I haven't heard of any besides one and I thought if there's a reason it's not that common?
  2. I don't know anything for sure regarding 2017 yet, besides I'm gonna try going to Efteling. It would probably be during spring though so no symbolica for me
  3. If it indeed closes I hope the fantastic maurer finds a new home.
  4. Yeah I'd say it's one of those first thrill coaster kind of things.
  5. They're wrapped with a blue plastic protection, look at the footers. Most likely to protect from paint.
  6. Efteling has uploaded a trailer for the Making of Symbolica series
  7. Gonna do the ones I actually can say for sure (since usually I don't like ranking coasters) Netherlands: Goliath - Walibi UK: Nemesis - Alton Towers Finland: Tornado - Särkänniemi (Idk about Powerpark since im not bothered to drive some 5 hours) Sweden: A lot of people would say Helix, but honestly the most fun I've had on a rollercoaster was Twister at Gröna lund and Jetline is still one of the most intense coasters I've been on. Germany: Taron - Phantasialand
  8. Keep in mind a 30 minute line for a ride is really long for Finnish people, (unless it's Linnanmäki in July, then 30 minutes is the minimum)
  9. This is a real weird question but... Are cruise line websites as difficult everywhere else as they are here in Finland? It's all overly complicated and unclear, you have to dig deep to find the simplest answers and you can't reserve online pretty much unless you're a 4 person group of age 25+ adults, otherwise you have to reserve it through their phone-service???
  10. Probably the original zacspin Kirnu at Linnanmäki. Simply because i go to that park quite regularly and even though the queue moves regularly quite slow due to the balancing rules as a single rider you can skip the line most of the time.
  11. S&S is the king of acceleration according to this
  12. Calling that terrible heap of pain "classic" is like calling this a classic - I know it's an old vekoma but I still don't get how people manage to have painful rides on it. Advantages of being short maybe???
  13. I don't have direct experience, but close experience from a close friend. At least with their regular top spin the most frustrating part of the job is telling people "sorry, come back later" when the ride is down which happens pretty often but it's an old ride so what do you expect. With the regular topspins and their double restraint system (which is sort of necessary) the annoying thing is having to reopen and close the restraints if somebody doesn't have basic senses and notice them coming down, leading to their hands getting stuck or then them wanting to take some loose items even though before the restraints come down the operators always call out "if you have loose items nows your chance to bring them down". This is especially frustrating because the button is on the gondola on its own panel, has to be held down and it takes forever for all the restraints to come down or go up since they do so at different speeds. However I've heard compared to other flatrides at the park the topspin is the most fun to run especially when they get to run special programs (since the control panel has multiple programs set) or half manual, and playing with the guests through the mic is fun as well.
  14. Well a triple train would be better as well, but the one train 2 cars is terrible capacity
  15. So now the question is will särkänniemi be smart enough / not too cheap to get the double loading station.
  16. Southern Finland, -Tykkimäki (65km) -Linnanmäki (105km) -Särkänniemi (130km)
  17. I figured this is a good place to post this: There's strong speculation that a Premier Skyrocket II is coming to Särkänniemi next year since premier has announced a skyrocket II is going in 2017 to somewhere in Europe, and Särkänniemi themselves have announced a new ride that "goes higher than any other in särkänniemi with it's height of 46m", premier lists the skyrocket II as 45m, the ride is also described by Särkänniemi as "The ride goes high up, but it moves forwards and backwards, not just up. Its target audience are thrillseekers." It's also been described as having high acceleration and speed
  18. Jetline at Grönalund is much more intense than it seems, especially in the second half starting with the weird diving drop.
  19. Oh my god What is this volare-level deathtrap???
  20. There might not even be a new ride, Linnanmäki has been planning an underground area and the entrance might be on Kieppi's place. If it isn't that, no-one has any clue on what ride there would be.
