  1. Last Friday - very quiet day. Saturday - I was very glad I bought a flash pass & maze express pass! Here's the vid I made of my Fright Fest experience (Lot of fun!) [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  2. Montezooma's Revenge was my first ever inverted ride as a child, so it holds that special little place in me. It was down when I visited the park (for the first time in a few years). While riding Jaguar, it appeared a part of the track was missing? I wasn't sure if that was a maintenance related thing, or perhaps due to Fright Fest, etc.? Any insight on why it is/was down, or are my guesses nearly as good as anyone elses? It really does not take up any room, so unless the upkeep is too much of a headache, I'd hate to see it go.
  3. I few a things I find annoying.... • GUM - DON'T SPIT GUM ON GROUND! NASTY!!!!! Or leave it on seats, restraints, etc. It's germy, gross, and I don't want it on the bottom of my shoe anymore than others want on theirs. Spitting in pathways also nasty. If someone is going to spit, at least don't do it where others walk. I understand protein spills can happen. I can eat a huge lunch, then ride anything without getting sick, but I realize not everyone is like that. Someones gum or saliva should never make contact with me or my clothing, etc. • The basketballs. I hate em! • People who fail to use deodorant. When you're only (barely) 5 feet tall like me, unfortunately, that's something I'm prone to noticing if someone fails to use it. Obviously it's usually teenagers, but I know I appreciate it when people remember to try and not stink. • Parks that are inefficient with loading trains. (Perhaps it's because I'm spoiled with amazing efficiency of operations at Cedar Point). • Stupid people who get themselves killed by climbing into an area clearly marked as no entry (ie fence hoppers to retrieve a phone, hat, etc). If people would just realize there are sweeps at night, and it's not worth risking their life (plus said ride then becomes closed to rule obeying riders during investigation time to determine the deceased lacked the capacity to think on a fateful time. Thankfully those extreme incidents are rare, it's sad for the loved ones who lost them due to stupidity. Also, I'm sure any riders on a train that strikes a fence jumper have so much potential for PTSD, psychological damage, etc., all as the result of said stupid act by another. I personally have never been at a park when an incident happened, just make me sad and annoyed that a rare idiot gets themselves maimed, then puts a black eye on the park/manufacturer/etc. that isn't deserved in the first place. Sorry this last one became more of a rant about a rare few who lack the ability to have common sense.
  4. Aftershock not open this year for safety reasons - the location of the Total Darkness maze has you walking through the secure area somewhat under the ride in an area not normally accessible by the public during the regular operating season. I do believe in years past for Scarywood event (before maze location) it was closed due to weather, though I cannot 100% say for certain. (I'm no expert, only a fangirl who lives for rides). The last Scarywood event I went to was a few years back (it has improved in leaps and strides since then). I was riding on Tremors, and in a snow/rain mix - it was COLD!!!!!! I don't like riding in the snow. brrrrrr
  5. I made it to the Scarywood event on opening weekend. It had been a few years since I had gone, and it has really improved into something impressive! I've just recently been teaching myself how to edit/create videos, so linky here is the latest one I made of my trip to this years event. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  6. Well... maybe right under Raptor is not the best place... but have you heard about the fire-type Pokemon that appear in places a bit safer and not fenced off?
  7. I signed up on Twitter just a few months ago. My reasons for no longer using it - I was robbed in July of this year, the phone that had Twitter among the numerous things taken. Phone was password protected, so no one was able to get into the phone. After replacing the phone, I just never installed the app on the new phone since I was not using it much before the theft. My primarily choice of social media are Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
  8. *deleted. Already responded this thread last year on page 57
  9. I used to have a collection of SFMM souvenir cups from the 90's and would get one each year. Unfortunately after moves, life circumstances, etc., I no longer have them. I wish I had them, but I have memories, and T-shirts.
  10. I was about to comment on that very same thing, you beat me to it! Robb's selfie pic link in the YT comments cracked me up.
  11. I definitely need to come to WCB next year! Looks like a blast. Thank you for sharing.
  12. This years spiel on a few rides: "reminder, there is no photography, video, selfies, Snapchat, or Pokémon Go allowed on this ride, or any other rides here at Cedar Point"
  13. Cedar Point Trip Report - The video I made (below) is probably going to be more exciting than anything I can type. I've literally decided to start a new YouTube channel, so this is one of the very first videos I have ever made. 90% of the footage is from this year, although I did use a couple pictures from last year. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Scene 1 - yes that is me in a real commercial 737, and no, I'm not allowed to fly it (those pics were from a different trip, but made for a fun video intro.) As soon as I knew I would have a couple of weeks off work, I booked my August trip several MONTHS before going. As it turned out, the original flights I was supposed to be on to get home were cancelled, so they rebooked me on flights with similar times, and upgrade to first class (for a small fee, but much less than booking a first class flight would normally be). I was fascinated by the magnetic bowls on the food tray. Hotel Breakers is clean and great! This year, the "accessible" room was perfect. I booked it with the message that if they had a wheelchair user, I'd gladly take a regular room - I booked this one, since I'm short, so generally more comfortable when things are lower. So you'll see a tour on video of the spacious room. Special arrangements were made, concierge from a different hotel I stay at dropped me off/picked me up at HB (and to/from airport). Renting a car to drive for only 3 days out of 2 weeks would have been prohibitively more expensive... that and I love rides, but I don't like driving. Riding is fine, but driving scares the heck out of me generally. I got dropped off at HB, dropped bags off with bellhop, and off into the park for a few hours. It seems friends rarely have the same time off work, and are just into theme parks. I'd rather have an awesome time alone than not go anywhere. Of course I went on the rides. Put the dining plan on my season pass which worked out nicely for me. Usually all I drink is water (I have soda on occasion, but don't care for it on a regular basis). One day, I did pay for a Powerade since I had sweat rather profusely throughout the day, drank a LOT of water, so figured I'd benefit from electrolyte replacement. The fireworks were a lot of fun. The rainstorm - this year, it passed quickly. (The footage from HB lobby was a clip I took last year). Majority of this trip was sunny, dry, and perfect! CP does a fantastic job on landscaping, and is a very clean park. This is a slide-show style video I put together. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] (I'm brand new at this video making thing - so try not to judge too harsh, as these are the first videos of their kind that I have ever made)
  14. And here are a few more... collage from MF, an imitation pose, and a fun one on Maverick Collage I made from MF rides This one was inspired by the "grumpy splash mountain lady"
  15. Here are few recent pics on Magnum XL200 at CP ... so much fun to make goofy poses. I don't know a single other person on the rides, but enthusiasm from others made for some fun shots
  16. I still remember when Viper was new. This attached picture (on ride pic of me and sister) is 20+ years old, yet at that time, we absolutely loved the ride. Waiting 2-3+ hours in line was just the norm when it was new. Fast forward to last year - sister hadn't ridden on Viper since this picture was taken. I'm usually game for anything (even rides I don't like such as Corkscrew & a last ride on MeanStreak last month), but I warned her she might not enjoy Viper as much as we did when we were young. I was right - she was done and never desires another ride on it. I'll be going to KBF & SFMM next month, so for memory sake, I'll take a couple last rides on Viper (assuming the wait is less than 2-3 trains, which I doubt will be an issue) knowing it likely will be the next one scrapped for something better. My nostalgic last ride(s) on it will probably help remind me how rough it has become, and I won't miss it!
  17. Hands down.. or up - Millennium Force is my all time favorite.
  18. I can't speak for Six Flags food... only dining plan for Cedar Point... the Panda Express bowl was good... or I usually get a chicken sandwich each day, then sometimes a salad, or fries depending on my mood. I couldn't get time off for West Coast Bash this year, but hoping I will next year. I'm headed to KBF & SFMM next month, so I'll try and remember to post some SF food thoughts
  19. Aftershock at Silverwood after an unplanned last minute trip a couple weeks ago.
  20. I'm going to the park tonight.... I'll check. As of 5:20 no trucks from Idaho to be seen. Who from Idaho went to Ohio without me? --it's all in my username
  21. I never played the card game, watched the shows, etc., yet this app has kept me on the move and more active than ever. Included are a few of my pics. Planes, theme parks... they're everywhere! As of tonight, my Pokedex is up to 92. I have never used a cheat, 3rd party app, etc. I've earned my way to level 23, and still enjoying the game.
  22. 11 miles from CP, Kalahari has an awesome waterpark! It might be something worth checking out if you like waterparks. I spent a few days there and enjoyed it.
  23. The drop slide/plunge thing just got my attention! I never had an interest in "Soak City." Get a unique new attraction like that, and I'll definitely check it out.
