  1. One of my favorite rides of all time is Silver Bullet at KBF, so I was surprised to see many people on here not crazy about it. The ride I found super disappointing was Pony Express at KBF. The track was super short and made wait time not worth it, and for me, the restraint was very uncomfortable. The concept seems neat, just too short of a ride being my biggest let down (I even understand their are measures of safety that have to be in place to hold people in)
  2. The worst one I was ever on is probably more of a bad experience than anything else ? At SFMM, they had Flashback many years ago. The coaster itself was ok AFTER the initially part. It left the station, went left around a curve, then a sudden drop before the lift. I was not expecting the sudden jolt and drop, and my neck was hurting the rest of the ride. The fact the ride is long scrapped must be all the more proof as to it being awful.
  3. Wow! I didn't find any of these on searching, but it looks like my Space Mountain, White Lightnin' and King Kobra would be it. Year of the loops.... maybe this is the reason I prefer coasters with loads of inversions
  4. I cannot believe how young some of you all are!! Makes me feel old with some of the ones I'm reading about in this thread. I haven't noticed any other 1977's in here yet, but I have not read through all the pages yet either. The only thing I can find is: 1. Space Mountain at Disneyland (I rode the original track made by Arrow Dynamics during childhood, and then the layout done by Vekoma since then). I cannot seem to find anything else built in 1977... so going to 1976 when I was first conceived and in the womb.. yeah, this is a bit of a stretch 2. Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Rode that one many countless times over the years. A fun classic!) 3. Corkscrew at Cedar Point - I have never been to Cedar Point, so don't know if that one is even still there, but that would be three.
  5. Edit- deleted accidental duplicate reply.
  6. 1. Do you have your videos set to auto-play on your: a. desktop computer and/or b. mobile device? (or if you don't know, just tell us if the videos auto-play or not in your newsfeed.). Yes to autolay on my desktop. Can view on my phone and although not autoplay, I will often tap and watch if I don't have a desktop nearby. 2. Do you regularly "share" content from Facebook "page" (like the TPR page) to your own personal Facebook page? And have you shared something from the TPR page? No. And the thing is, all the content posted by TPR is awesome and I enjoy watching it, but I'm one who very rarely re-shares anything. It would "clutter" my timeline and while the vids and pics are interesting to me, they would not be to the majority of friends and family on my Facebook. If I shared everything that says "share if you would ride this" - I naturally would be sharing it. Even friends who post pics or vids of requests to share content, yes I love cats, etc., but I am just not inclined to share everything and "clutter" my timeline. 3. What kind of content are you most likely to share? (Videos, Photos, News Stories, etc?) It is unlikely I'll share, but if I did, it would likely be a new story. 4. How long on average do you watch a video posted to Facebook for? Do you watch the entire video? First 30 seconds? Until you get bored? It depends on the video - some just are more interesting than others to me. Honestly, I LOVE the thrill of the actual experience of being on rides over watching a video of them. 5. How important are "video thumbnails" to you? (the image you see with the > Play icon before you click to watch a video) If it's something I need to click such as on phone, thumbnails are then important to me to garner my interest in clicking to watch. 6. What do you like/dislike about Facebook? What features do you use the most and which ones annoy you? Feature I dislike about FB is the way groups will often have messages get lost. They aren't organized the way an awesome forum as this one is. Features I use the most are to post personal statuses, pics, and videos. 7. Is there anything that TPR does or doesn't do on Facebook that you think we should be doing more/less of? Perhaps a closed group for TPR members to post in? If there is one and I missed it, then I'll have to hunt a little more.
  7. Just wondering when I will receive my loot in the mail. I figure you're very busy and just have not had time.
  8. I had never heard of Katoli, but just did a youtube search, and found one with title of "Katoli's World" and it has pics. Sad to see when parks go bye bye I've also seen various pictures of urban explorers venturing into the old SFNO My question is, all these years later, SFNO is obviously beyond saving, but why is the area heavily watched by police to keep people from trespassing? It would seem that a sign of enter at own liability and risk would cover it, and not needing the area patrolled? Heck, I'd venture to say based on videos, nothing is salvageable and the place is in complete ruin, mostly from the hurricane, but also graffiti, etc. 10 years later.
  9. Your trip sounds exactly like what I want to do!
  10. Has been as low as $1.54/gal in north Idaho, although is back up to ~ $1.69 now. Still a bargain being under $2!!!!! I doubt I will ever see it at under $1 again, but it's still nice seeing it low, as it costs less for me to give gas money to those who drive me
  11. Here's my list of where I have been. Arizona California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Idaho (I'm from here) Illinois Kansas Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Missouri Montana Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin I think that's 33 out of the 50? Not bad
  12. My question is - Who HERE will be the first TPR poster to ride on the new Twisted Colossus? It won't be me, for I live too far away, but who will be the first? A preview vid I saw made me excited to go on it.
  13. Fair enough Thank you for the answer
  14. I had figured the Donkey's theme was from Pinnochio's Donkey Island.
  15. Is it possible to have my name changed (one time thing) on here?
  16. I literally have *NEVER* had a ride scare me. Then again, I have no fear of anything except cockroaches(no joke). Tandem skydive before, got to do a gainer out of the plane. It was awesome, and I was not fearful of that even.
  17. Here are mine Tatsu, my all time favorite ride The amusing pic of me on the left was taken the same day as the above pic. Check out the expressions. The guy on the right has a shirt that says "I have no idea what it going on" Thundercats, ho! (That shirt logo glows under blacklight) Sister back in the late 80's Me and sister back in approx. 1994 on Batman at SFMM On Viper at SFMM in the early 90's
  18. It is now working. Thank you
  19. and when I'll get my awesome new loot for joining. I became a member and sent in the money for PayPal (+$2). Thanks
  20. Of all the interesting collections, this is one of them.
  21. I have collected many over the years. Many are long gone after being too holey to wear after years of wear... but I'll just have to start posting up my new ones I collect
  22. I am enjoying reading through this thread and looking at your pictures. I do not have any ink due to the permanent nature. If I did, it would probably be a tiger, my favorite animal.
  23. When I get the chance to go to a park, my time off work is often limited, and I want to get all the ride time in that I can. By the time I travel, the cost is worth it to me.
  24. I cannot wait until the next time I am in California and get to ride Twisted Colossus!! I rode the original Colossus countless time, and it was a blast. I rode Revolution before it had shoulder restraints (and it was better IMO at that time without them). I had ridden minutes before the one ride op was killed years ago - and I am glad I was not sitting front car when that incident happened. Yes, the time will come when there are new memories to made at SFMM
