Montezooma's Revenge was the first ever inverted coaster I ever road on in my life, so that has plenty of great memories for me. I was always a vertically challenged (short). I remember as a child, I would literally cry and be upset because I was too short to go on the most awesome looking coasters. It was an awesome day when I was able to go on the inverted coasters, first starting with Montezooma's Revenge. Next was the Corkscrew at KBF. It's a fun memory that I've been able to ride Corkscrew at KBF many years ago, and again at the local theme park, Silverwood.

Summer Job at a park (SFA)
IdahoKat replied to Password121's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have never worked for a theme park, but what I think a park, much like any business where the public is dealt with is "customer service skills." I think a "fanboy" working a theme park will at least be able to be enthusiastic about where they are (when not cleaning the trash, vomit, etc.) I cannot think of anything more boring than "clothes" but I'm sure someone who is passionate about clothing and fashion related trends is going show enthusiasm in a retail store when there is a baseline interest. A coaster "fanboy" is likely going to be more successful as a ride op than someone who has zero interest in theme parks. My take FWIW. -
Weird Roller Coaster Dreams
IdahoKat replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I once had a roller coaster dream 20+ years ago - I was riding on Viper at SFMM, it got stuck on one of the loops, then became the Matternhorn at Disneyland. In that dream, I was trying to figure out how I went from being on Viper, to Matternhorn, and super disappointed because I wasn't sure how to get back on Viper, and was confused how I got from from one park to the other. -
I might change mine from time to time, but current picture is one I took at Thorpe Park

Which camera do you currently use?
IdahoKat replied to TheScooterGuy's topic in Random, Random, Random
For me, it's every day life (never videoed on a coaster, but since there are rules about putting the toys away, and I'm one to follow them), but for the rest of things in life, I use either a Nikon Coolpix, or my Samsung Galaxy S4 -
The next time I'm in southern Cal, I definitely cannot wait to go back to SFMM. I feel the same way - much of the park could be nothing but the rides and no theming, and I'd still go for the rides. Tatsu is actually one of my all time favorite rides I have ever been on. The experience and sensations are just amazing to me.

That would be nice. I don't really drive, and usually end up going anywhere alone more often than not. I've love to make some new friends who also enjoy theme parks, travel, split on hotel, have someone who drives since I don't, and just a new extended family of people who also enjoy rides! Experiences and rides! I haven no clue how to organize anything, but if anyone does, I would love to be contacted and go. Anyone want to be my new friend? I'm kind of in the same boat. I was also hoping to do a TPR trip either this year or next year. Looks like it'll be next year. However, we can still organize trips with other TPR members who are interested.

False. The person below me loves cats.

No. Have you ever traveled out of the country in which you reside?

I get paid to ski and snowboard. . . . really, it's true. I teach all ages and levels, although I generally enjoy teaching kids. I also prefer boarding. I started out as a boarder, decided skiing looked fun and tried it several years later. I enjoy both, but prefer the board. Attached is a little action shot of me

Well Darn!!! Just as I'm a new member here, and hoping to hook up with other enthusiasts to go ride, and TPR takes this year off. All the more time for me save up, as I'd be interested in going on trips with other like-minded people, meet new coaster friends, etc.
