It's something that's being noted, but not something that will cause me to boycott the company and throw hissy fits about at this point... "Once is random, two is a trend, three is a pattern..." kind of deal here... This is also the 1st time they're dealing with a problem this public, so you have to look at the whole picture to get a sense of how to perceive things...

Water Parks weren't on my radar at all until I went to SFNE last Summer... Just didn't feel compelled to go... The day we were at SFNE it was forecast to be 90*F+ so we took a midday break into the water park... I was surprised how much fun I had... Because it was 90*F+ however crowds were a problem, so we left... I did find the crowding unbearable in the water park, so I'll only go if crowds will be moderate or better... But I'm willing to give some more water parks a fair shake...

I'd suggest some of the flats... Lots of classic, fun flat rides around the park like Orbit, Fiddler's Fling, and Triple Play...

Yea, kinda what I figured... We'd just have the hotel for just a single night, so we'd just deal with the masses for 4 hours... Thanks for the head up!

Just curious what the S.O.P. is for "Physics/School Days" at CP... I'd imagine that there will probably be a fair amount of people... I'd also imagine that they clear out by 3-4 pm... Early Entry would also be fairly open as well... Anything out of the ordinary for these days at CP compared to how they typically are at other parks?

I can say that I'm basically the same way on the matter... If I want to spend an hour riding a coaster without getting up, it's gonna be at the top of my list... To score high, the entire ride has to be enjoyable... If just 15 seconds of a 2 minute ride are awesome, I'm gonna get bored eventually....

BGW is the only announced coaster so that has to be it

Say you place clones of Top Thrill Dragster at SFOG, BGT, SFGAm, WoF, SFOT, and CGA... Does that not instantly become the longest line at those parks by a wide margin? Does placing those copies across the US decrease the lines of TTD at CP or Kingda Ka at SFGAdv? That's clones explained in a nutshell...

Just a note with the "waterproofness" of the phone: Yes, it can be submerged for a short period of time, but you're dealing with wind driven rain while riding... Essentially the water is under pressure and will work it's way into the phone...

Whelp, I'm a card carrying member of the American Outlaws. That's the official Supporter's group for the US National Teams. Actually we got quite the schedule coming up. Friday we have an important doubleheader: USA U-23 team vs Colombia and the US Men's Senior team vs Guatemala. The U-23's are in a home/home for the final spot in Rio while the Senior team is a WC Qualifier. Both of these matches need to be a draw or better. Then on the 29th we have the home ends of these matchups. Then in June the Senior team will host Copa America. I've already got tickets to the Chicago group stage match and am working on getting tickets to the Philadelphia match as well (a side trip to Great Adventure is a nice add-on to that ). This is the best place for the US to show that we belong in the who's who of world football. Gotta make it count

I think most people will be looking forward to this... It's something that the park hasn't seen before... Add in an A/C ride and you have a hit for sure....

I had no idea that Disney wanted into the skiing world... This would have been interesting... What was the timeframe for this project? Since it seems like it faded after Walt's death, opening would have been in the mid 70's or so? I'm just thinking along the lines of your comment about revolutionizing the ski industry... It would have had an impact, but to what extent I don't know... It's a cool little thing to think about though...

You should be able to use it multiple times per day, like if you leave the park and don't get a stamp for some reason then want to re-enter. That would probably not work actually... By allowing that, you allow people to hand passes off in the parking lot and enter... No different than not allowing someone with an already scanned day pass but no stamp in...

Anyone have a ballpark guess at what the cost savings of T-Rex track will be? As of late, Six Flags isn't making any super significant investments (>$12-13 million) at any parks... Would a T-Rex hyper be in the $15m range or would it creep closer to $20m?

Think of muscle cars from the 60's and early 70's... Same reason why people will pay +$500k for some of the cars from that era... My guess is that they were more "mechanical" than "electrical" in their composition... But the rides from that era are becoming a rare find, hence the urgency in their search....
