On that note, Hypersonic is mine too. Always wanted to be shot off an aircraft carrier, and the launch is most of the way there. Personally no interest in going to Japan so Dodonpa is not on my list. Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's uses an actual aircraft carrier catapult. Aircraft carriers use steam, much like S&S's compressed air launch systems and the G's/forces pulled far exceed any coaster's launch. I thought that was a flywheel unless I've been horribly misinformed. The cable and "bob" are from a real aircraft carrier.

One, I never said that having side by side seat makes it a log ride. I said that it can have them and still be a log flume. Two, no offense, but our opinions don't matter. Every amusement ride classification guide on Earth considers Splash Mountain AND Shoot the Rapids to be log flumes, and PP is clearly a shoot the chute.

Oh. The SM boats at WDW look nothing like Tidal Wave or Pompeii. Those boats seat 16 to 20 people four-5 abreast. SM at WDW only seats 8 two breast. SM disneyland seat 6-7 inline. BTW a log flume can have side by side seating, but no more than two abreast.

Ninja at MM is built onto a mountainside. It makes for an awesome experience.

The last coaster was Xcelerator at Knott's. In March 2015 I rode 5 coasters for the first time: Xcelerator (4x), Silver Bullet, Coast Rider, Pony Express, and Sierra Side Winder.

Any log flume not built around a faux mountain or on a real mountain sucks. Splash Mountain is a rip-off of Timber Mountain at Knott's therefore TM is automatically better. SM may be better themed but TM is a better flume ride. Log Jammer at SFMM was awesome. Jet Stream at the same park sucks. They removed the wrong flume. I might be wrong but I believe Pirates is technically a shoot the chute, not a log flume. You all need to realize that there is a difference between log flumes and shoot-the-chutes.

Original Colossus was awesome, even after they ruined it by leveling off the valley between the two camelback hills after the third drop and installing block brakes in 1991 and also replacing the Philly Toboggan trains for Morgan ones 1987. You have one week to live and are given the chance to ride any roller coaster in the world, any time throughout history. Which coaster would you go ride one last time? I would go back in time and ride Flashback at SFMM (1992-2003) one last time. Sure it banged your head around, but the hairpin drops literally made your stomach drop. For those of you that don't know, Flashback, also known as Z-Force before it was moved to MM, was an Intamin "Space Dive" coaster designed by Werner Stengel. You'll notice the track and trains look similar to those found on B&M coasters today. This is because the track and trains were built by steel manufacturer Giovanola and designed by two of their employees, named Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard. Giovanola was the exclusive track and train supplier for Intamin in the 1980's. This is also why the three coasters built by Giovanola themselves: Goliath, Titan, and Anconda, all have the same box spine track. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

I can't name just one favorite because it all depends on the type of coaster. Also, I have never been to any park outside of southern California, therefore my sample size is very small.
