  1. I just remembered a hard one that a teacher once gave me to solve. You have ten stacks of coins. Each stack contains 10 coins. You know that the coins weigh 5 grams each. You also know that one of the stacks is composed of ten counterfeit coins. You know that the counterfeit coins weigh 4 grams each. What you don't know is which stack is the counterfeit one. You have a scale (Not a balance!), which measures in grams. In ONE weighing how can you find which stack is the counterfeit one? (Sorry for the double post)
  2. Here's an easy one I remember from grade school. You throw away the outside, you cook the inside, you eat the outside, and throw away the inside. What is it?
  3. ^ Agreed. I usually loath the FPS genre of video games, I just don't find most of them even remotely fun to play. After a friend forced me practically a knife point to sit down and play Metroid Prime, I couldn't put it down. It's so good in my opinion that it transcends the FPS genre. From what I hear if you want a good multiplayer game go for the Halo 1&2 as well as the more recent Gears of War (if you plan on getting a 360). I haven't played any of these games though, and probably won't in the future.
  4. I doubt they'd ask you to send the original strap back. It would cost them even more money and, in the end, what use are they for Nintendo? No, probably they'll just tell you to throw out the old straps, when you get the new ones in. It is interesting to note that the first major news site that is reporting on this is the one run by Microsoft.
  5. Just found a new piece of info I had not known concerning the PS3. Apparently the picture quality of the PS3 when playing PS1 and PS2 games suck. Both PS1 and PS2 game come out looking worse on the PS3 than they looked on the systems they were made for. Here's a link to a video that offers a side by side comparison (I'm sorry but you'll have to sit though a commercial first): http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/7990
  6. Who bought Rayman Raving Rabbids With their system? It isn't the best game on the Wii and will soon be outclassed in every respect by Wario Ware, but I can't help but keep playing it. even though I've beaten it twice over. The rabbids have quickly become one of my favorite game characters of all time. Besides the fact that they are quite often hilarious, there is just something about them that makes be want to come back time and again to kick the little suckers into the soccer goal, slam them on the head with a shovel, and fire a plunger into their face. I can't help but love to abuse these guys, it never gets old, or at least hasn't yet.
  7. Busch owns nine parks. Here's a list. (I'm linking to it because I'm two lazy to type it.)
  8. ^ I love dogs, I hope Gigi catches on quick that she has to watch where you step. Every single puppy I've met doesn't seem to understand that people do not look down every moment of the day to see if the puppy is under foot. I guess it's my turn to contribute. Here is my dog Baliey. He's about 6 years old. Here is my Mom's dog Joey. Who had to learn the above lesson the hard way. I still feel bad about it, even though he only got bruised.
  9. This site has long been one of my favorites even though it hasn't been updated in more than a year. http://www.tard-blog.com/ Warning, you will find yourself laughing at stuff that is really messed up. You will feel guilty and dirty afterwards.
  10. Thundercoaster without a doubt. If Thundercoaster's dry rides were even close to the rides it gives when wet, it would rival Balder as my number one wood coaster.
  11. I've added everyone so far because the way I look at it is the more the merrier. Even though around half the names are still grayed out in my address book. Just as a reminder my Wii code is: 8376 0773 4579 5835
  12. Great photo trip report Skyscraper. I would like to travel to South Africa some day, it looks like a beautiful country. Just a side note, when you post your next Photo TR try to resize the pictures to be about 800 pixels across or less.
  13. I really don't know how to write this without sounding like a shill. My friend (Who still hasn't told me how he is going to find the money to pay for it) is planning to get this super high tech camcorder called the Red One Digital Camera. When I read the specs it blew my mind and knowing Robb as being an avid videophile I'd thought he's like to see it. It records full motion 60fps video at 4520 X 2540 resolution. That means that every frame of that 60fps is the equivalent of a 12 megapixel still photo, and the camera weighs only 7lbs. Too bad that it sells at pretty much the same price of a new of a new car. But just seeing this gives me hope that in the future, like five years from now, something like this will be in my price range.
  14. There are companies that will do the transfer for you. Check out your local area to see if there are any near you. If you don't mind the shipping fees you could use this website: http://www.moviestuff.tv/transfers.html I haven't used them, so don't take this as a testimonial, the only reason why I recommend them is that if you are as paranoid with letting other people handle your old home movies as I am, this site also sells their transfer equipment which means you can do it at home. It's expensive, but if you have the dough their equipment is probably the cheapest you will find anywhere, they make it to order so it might take a while, especially now with the Christmas rush going on. You could also try an eBay search of 8mm telecine equipment.
  15. ^Isn't that the point. The way i view it is you don't have to accept every Mii in the Mii parade, it's just fun watching them all march past. I've added you guys, If you ever decide to add me I'm ready and waiting, but I can understand you not wanting to wake up every morning with your console crowded with messages. I can see this becoming an upcoming feature of the next TPR trips. We'll all exchange codes on the bus and then when the trips are over we'll all congregate and play Mario Kart or what ever else Nintendo releases with online capabilities. I hope they make Mario Party online. We could try a TPR tournament.
  16. ^ Great to hear it. What games did you get? I think the reason why my remote's just eating through the batteries is because I've already logged a full 24 hours playing Zelda not to mention the fact That I already beat Rayman: Raving Rabbids
  17. Man, has anybody noticed how the remotes just eat through the batteries? Nintendo should think about releasing some rechargeable battery packs.
  18. <> Both MiamiBoii4392 and SharkTums beat me to it.
  19. I'm a junior at San Francisco State University. Majoring in Cinema, I'm still not sure what I'm going to minor in or if I want a minor at all. That's pretty much all I have to say.
  20. This is more a suggestion than a comment on a forum rule, and I didn't think this warranted its own thread. I think it would be good to modify the Roller Coaster Video Game forum to include coaster coaster model building because there seems to be a proliferation of Knex threads.
  21. I'd send mine over but you are still grayed out in my address book. Did you type in my system code correctly? I double checked to make sure I got your system code right.
  22. "Navajo Joe" Composed by Ennio Morricone
  23. Yes, I double checked all the numbers including my own. <> I disabled my router's firewall and it seems to have fixed the problem.
