  1. I don't know. Plane crashes never really worried me because once I'm up in the air what's going to happen is going to happen whether I worry about it or not, so I might as well sit back and enjoy the ride.
  2. 1. I can't hold my arms out perfectly straight at the elbow (instead of 180 degrees I can only get to about 170) 2. I've lived in the same house all my life. 3. I have insomnia regularly (look at the time of this post) 4. I don't like competing in games (sports as well as board & video games) , I just like to play to have fun. Though if i'm forced to compete expect no help or mercy from me (it's a compitition, in my opinion mercy has no place in it). 5. Even though I do only the bare minimum of work in class and never really try that hard to get a grade above a passing c, I still manage to make the Deans List at my college each semester. (my GPA is 3.56 and I don't even try)
  3. Could it be Golfland? Here's the website: http://sanjose.golfland.com/ to see if it rings any bells. They have three waterslides and only two courses though. There's another golfland about 30 minutes away in Milpitas which does have a very sizable arcade and three courses, perhaps you're thinking of them. I just recently came back from a spring break trip down in LA and on one of the days there my friendss and I decided to visit the Anaheim Golfland. There were five courses (2 hard, 2 medium, 1 easy) one of the biggest arcades I had ever been in and laser tag. We spent the whole day there and had a really good time away from the crowds of Disneyland. I'd have to say the best indoor mini golf course I've been to is the one at SCBB, only 18 kinda short holes but it has some of the best minigolf themeing I've experienced anywhere.
  4. I'm still of the opinion that flashback would be a very rideable coaster if they just got rid of the Over the Shoulder restraints. I mean wouldn't it be cheaper to buy new trains than demolish the ride?
  5. I got bored and did one.
  6. http://www.stripgenerator.com/ I'd post my own but I'm low on creativity today. It's a really cool website though and it has alot of potential.
  7. I play, but I suck at it so I only do it when the local arcade is nearly empty (in the morning on weekdays). I have a cheap plastic fold up DDR mat at my house for the PS2 and I seem to do better on it than on the arcade pad. Don't know why. I'm still on light play (I'm asthmatic).
  8. Looks Amazing! I could see the entire board going into a bidding war if that or anything similar to it in quality appeared on eBay. I hope you're able to make a career as an artist, you have the talent.
  9. I was a forum member on another coaster website called America Coasters Network. When I first joined that site there were updates nearly every day and a ton of other stuff I could look forward to discussing on the message boards but during the last two years the site has just been slowly dying. Updates on coaster construction and news for that site comes now in two month intervals and they're very breif updates as well. The forums also slowed down except for every now and then when a poster under the name of robbalvey would come on and liven a thead up with links to fun photos of his park trips around the world. So one day as I was scrolling through Robbs most recent trip report (at the time it was his december trip to Japan) I saw that there were free coaster videos on his site as well as a message board so I signed up and have been enjoying TPR ever since.
  10. If not, and I wouldn't blame them for being too busy to do so since they'll have their hands full with all the wonderful stuff they are planning, there will be plenty of trip reports from most of the TPR members on the trip. I might even put one up myself if the hotel has broadband.
  11. Couldn't they just remove the Helix one winter and just put in new footers and then put the helix back up. I know it wouldn't really be cost effective but if PGA removes one of it's biggest star attractions attendance will take a huge dive.
  12. Treasure Island is the part of SF that Would be most likely made into an amusement park. I think Disney once looked at it to see if it would be possible but decided against it (the Bay Bridge already has huge traffic problems as it is without the help of a Theme park). http://maps.google.com/?ll=37.82026,-122.366323&spn=0.026951,0.040212&t=k
  13. Great job! I could never do anything like that, my drawing abilities suck. By the way the coaster looks to me like it's the Giant Dipper at SCBB (It was my first wooden coaster I rode when I was little). Heres a photo from rcdb.com:
  14. Both of my browsers (Safari & Firefox) can't open that link and your pictures are coming up as little red Xs. Is the website down?
  15. Thats what I thought about it as well untill I picked up the game used and was totally blown away by it. The timed nature of it is not that pressing. It never made the game harder for me. Especially since as the game goes on you learn melodies that can control the passing of time i.e. make it slower or faster. NEVER EVER dismiss a Legend of Zelda game made by Nintendo out of hand.
  16. I'd go and meet you guys there but I have a feeling that come this saturday my schedule will be full. If you have another free day on the weekend you can also visit Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
  17. Great photos all round. And I will give anything to see a video of Elissa doing that fear factor show.
  18. dxfdxkha Disturbed X fans disregard Xcelerator's killer hydraulic advantage. Now for a longer one... nhvbnxcwe
  19. Wasn't there a rumor going around a while ago about Disney wanting to make Epcot their answer to the demands of the thrill seeking teenage demographic? Anyway I kind of doubt that anything like that would happen now since Disney bought Pixar and made John Lasseter apart of the Imagineering department. A lot of the Pixar staff that have been moved to Disney seem to want to restore the quality of the Disney name (especially at Disney's American theme parks) and I think they are going to try to stamp out any projects that seem similar to what Six Flags does with their rides.
  20. Because GeorgiaDawg278 did not provide any letters I'll answer the one that came before it. Valencia condemns X's main builder because company's Xenophobic hbfvbuv
  21. Joker killed Yesterday. Today Gotham negates Batman hbnbzs2
  22. I'd say experiment, when you drop frames you risk making the video feel jittery but you can get away with some frame dropping without much visual change. By the way how old is your program? I got After Effects in september of 2005 brand new. Both the H.264 and Sorenson 3 codecs aren't even a year old so you may have to look for plugins. If you don't mind the jittery look some people prefer to drop the frames to 15 per second it makes it feel more even, instead of every one out of three frame beeing dropped, every other frame will be dropped.
  23. Here are some screens. I could totally be wrong about the compression program in After Effects and Premeir being the same but I figure that since Adobe made both programs to compliment one another they should be similar. Also your screens will look somewhat different than mine because I'm running my editing stuff on a Mac not a PC. Remember before doing all of this to look at what kind of video files your DVD burnig program accepts. (my bare bones one only allows the miniDV format NTSC to be imported) Try out H.264 (I think it's the same codec apple uses for their itunes videos) and either Sorenson (it was considered the best codec before H.264 came out). Also try the DVCPRO50 - NTSC format if your DVD burning program is restricted to only NTSC video. Click on compression type scroll bar. Also choose your quality and depth. Choose quicktime (it offers the best picture quality in my opinion) and click format options. Also don't forget to make sure you audio export is checked as well. Click on custom if you can find it.
  24. Most, if not all, DVDs need to be in the mpeg2 format to play on regular DVD players. My Quicktime compression options allow me to choose the quality of both the picture and the sound, try to fiddle around with the settings to find a quality that your happy with that is about 4.5 Gigs. If you don't want to do that (or can't) Check to see if your computer has the ability to burn a dual layer DVD. You can fit about 8 Gigs onto one of those. How long is the video you want to put on the DVD? My bare bones DVD burning program can only fit about 2hrs on to a dual layer disk. I don't have Adobe Premeir but I do have Adobe After Effects which probably has the same compression programs. If you can when choosing among output setting click on custom, choose quicktime movie and click on format options. Under compression type there are a couple of good choices, Try H.264 and Sorenson (if you have them) and see which one you like the best. Also under compression type on that same screen there should be a bar marked Quality you can fool around with. The lower the quality the smaller the video size. you can also make the video file smaller by switching the depth from Millions of colors to thousands of colors but again you are loosing some of the picture's brillance. I try to post later with screen pics.
