  1. This years crop of 4Ds are ghastly to look at. Puzzling why they didn't keep black supports. The purple and green looks so much better with neutral coloured supports.
  2. Need these 15 days to fly by quickly more than I need air to breathe. Most of the offseason I was fine, but the past month or so I've been a fiend for airtime.
  3. Bizarro at GAdv. That thing just sits in the back of the park, roaring like a savage.
  4. I did SFOT by myself last April. Although it was enjoyable to be able to do the park at my own pace, it certainly would have been nice to have someone to share the experience with. I always consider driving down to GAdv by myself, but the idea of making the drive there and back alone always stops me.
  5. They needed him to play because the team has one of the largest contingents of players participating in the WBC (10, IIRC) That being said, I agree that it's a stupid stunt, and I hate that my team, when finally getting better on the field, resorted to such a parlor trick.
  6. I love giraffes, and once had a great encounter with one on the safari about two years ago. It came so close to the truck, everyone on board was just in awe of how majestic it looked. Definitely gonna try and carve some time out to ride it again on opening day.
  7. Naturally, these 30 days will seem to go by the slowest. I can't wait to get back in the saddle. Six months without El Toro is a drought I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
  8. They have something called Fast Track, but it isn't very good. Each coaster gets assigned a certain time for you to ride, and you have to sit in a middle row on each ride.
  9. Terrible idea. Like Bill said, if it aint broke, don't fix it.
  10. I was referring solely to the Brady/Belechick era Patriots.
  11. Pats. Because I always want it to be said that my Giants were the only team to beat them.
  12. Oh hell yes. My coaster cravings have been bad recently. These 60 days should hopefully fly by.
  13. Seinfeld for comedy, OZ for drama.
  14. I have a potential Floridian getaway to SWO and BGT in the works for late February/early March. If not, then Great Adventure's opening day, April 1st.
  15. From what I've read, the park was given the choice of either taking the old Chang or getting no addition for 2011. So they chose the ride and because GASM was already gone that plot of land made the most sense. And yes, it would be very stupid to have two floorless coasters at the same park. If they were ever to convert GL it would probably come at the expenae of removing Bizarro (which IMO, is a superior coaster.)
  16. 1. El Toro 2. Joker 3. Batman 4. Nitro 5. Bizarro 6. Kingda Ka 7. Skull Mountain 8. Mine Train 9. Superman 10. Dark Knight 11. Blackbeard 12. Green Abortion
  17. When Great Adventure had their second flume, it was also known as Poland Spring Plunge for a time. Man I wish they still had it, but I digress. I'm glad more parks are getting these 4Ds. I just wish they were given different names. But I suppose this is the Batman: The Ride for the new generation.
  18. On the topic of ranking Joker, I said sometime this past summer, and reiterating now that it is the second best coaster in the park. I think it's absolutely bonkers, and I love that I never get the same ride twice. I was very ambivalent when it was first announced, but I'm so glad the park went this route. Now if only it were more reliable.
  19. Popping in to echo the praise for Wooden Warrior. We went on a NE trip last summer and tacked on Quassy at the last minute. WW ended up being one of the best coasters on the trip. Definitely stop by.
  20. Popping in to say Great Adventure as well. I remember one night in 2014, the former Old Country area was pitch black. Save for where the Haunted Castle used to be, where there was an eerie glowing green light. That entire side of the park really gives off a creepy vibe once the sun sets.
  21. At GAdv, usually Nitro because I like to get that side of the patk finished quickly. At Dorney, always Talon.
  22. I'll be there Monday as well. I just have one question: did they bring back the empanada truck?
  23. S&S towers make me whimper, but I still ride them. I love the feeling of genuine fear every once in a while.
  24. Jesus Christ! I thought they couldn't run the Skyway in winds over 20 mph. What a wild sight.
  25. Viper at GAdv. Happened to be at the park on a day it actually was open in 2004. Little did I know it's days were numbered, and due to be replaced by the GOAT.
