  1. We're still on about this? Just pony up the buck; it isn't the end of the world.
  2. All of these announcements sound incredible. Finally getting a Mickey Mouse ride, plus the Tron coaster has me absolutely giddy.
  3. Skyrush Storm Runner Fahrenheit Lightning Racer (Lightning) Lightning Racer (Thunder) Coney Island Cyclone Thunderbolt Incredible Hulk The Mummy Dueling Dragons (Red)
  4. Maybe it was the train on Boulder Dash? I was at Lake Compounce the next day and they were running the green train (I notice in your report they had the blue train on) and was getting the same, bats#!t insane rides I always do. I'm not sick enough to rank it over El Toro, but Boulder Dash in the truth. Shame you didn't see the light. Nice report, as always.
  5. This is absolutely absurd. I just rode it on Monday and really enjoyed it. It was a good way to take a rest and a breath of fresh air, as well as take in a nice view. Such a shame one dope at a different park caused Lake Compounce to make such a rash decision.
  6. Agreed. It's my go-to lunch spot when visiting NE, and the ones at Magic Mountain and Over Texas were also pretty good.
  7. I had a decent taco salad at Gourmet Grill, on Kissing Tower Hill. The food was nothing special, but it is indoors which is a huge selling point. Just stay away from the pizza place across from Skyrush. Even by crappy chain pizza standards, it was terrible.
  8. ^ No, you do not need to know the source material to follow along, as they explain the backstory in the inner queue. And yes, it is a shooting dark ride.
  9. Just got back from the park. Justice League is awesome, and the themeing throughout the area is very well done. I enjoyed the free samples of fudge and Dippin Dots as well.
  10. Just got home from a great weekend to the area, which of course included a trip to the Sweetest Place on Earth. Skyrush is still the GOAT, the park was as beautiful and well-maintained as always, and the three new towers blend in seamlessly. The Hershey tower is a lot of fun, and is clearly the most popular. Throughout the day yesterday, the Kisses and Reeses towers would cycle half empty, while the Hershey gondola was always filled. Only minor complaint is that Stormrunner was only running one train, but when that is the only negative you can find, you know you had a great weekend. I love Hershey. This trip solidified that this is my favourite park on the East Coast.
  11. Can't wait to get back to this Mecca next weekend. Planning on using the preview to my advantage on Friday night so I can spend Saturday enjoying the atmosphere and seeing my niece have an absolute blast on all the kiddy rides. I love Hershey.
  12. Joker @ GAdv for the most terrifying ride I ever had on it on Friday.
  13. Was at the park yesterday. Nothing special to report; just wanted to pop in to say that Nitro was running like a beast. Strong, sustained floater over every hill, and I greyed out in the helix for the first time in a long time. Don't know if the park is giving it some extra TLC, or if it was just due to heat but it was giving fantastic rides.
  14. Looks great! Hope to get back up there sometime this year.
  15. I've been told it will indeed be optional, thankfully. I'm just not a fan of this new fad. And even if I were willing to give it a shot, I'm terrified of spiders so I'd pass anyway.
  16. The legendary Coney Island Cyclone.
  17. Curiosity got the best of me, so I had to see what was in the shed. Won't give anything away on that front, but the ride itself looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to it (and everything else!) on my inaugural visit to Kings Island this summer.
  18. Was thinking of going tomorrow, but seeing how crowded it got yesterday coupled with the fact that Yoshi mentioned a group of thousands visiting on Thursday has me thinking I'd be better suited heading over to Coney Island instead.
  19. Likewise. I feel as the season wears on, and people inevitably complain the park will stop enforcing this. And to echo what other people say, they don't have nearly enough lockers to make it work especially in the summer.
  20. Green Lantern, Joker, and Zumanjaro. But they're all worthless.
  21. Was at the park today for a couple of hours. I was on the first Nitro train of the season, which I thought was pretty neat. It was great to finally get back on a coaster. Here's to a great season!
  22. 2017 predictions: NL: Mets, Cubs, Giants, Nationals(WC), Dodgers(WC) AL: Red Sox, Indians, Astros, Blue Jays(WC), Rangers(WC) Playoffs: Mets over Cubs Indians over Astros World Series: Mets over Indians
  23. Great Adventure's new park president was named months ago. His name is Neil Thurman, and I believe he previously worked at Fiesta Texas. Congratulations to Mr. Fitzgerald. I met him in passing a couple of years ago at GAdv, and he seemed to be a decent man who truly cared about the park. I'm sure he will succeed as a CEO.
