  1. Joker @ GAdv on Wednesday. Probably my last coaster for a while as I finally got a full-time job.
  2. ^^ Just saw that post now. No, it wasn't sarcasm. Donkeys are awesome.
  3. Probably the heat. People don't keep themselves hydrated.
  4. The schadenfreude is strong. I love it. Enjoy Planet Snoopy!
  5. I love Joker. I rode it with JCoaster on Wednesday and our rides were down right terrifying. We went through the second beyond vertical drop head first due to the spinning. It really is such a great addition.
  6. Columbus, eh? I know the frustration of watching a team coached by Torts all too well. (NYR here)
  7. Never rode Roar but I doubt it was "perfection". Just give up the act, kid.
  8. I know you're trolling but god forbid. You don't mess with perfection.
  9. I did know that and that's actually a good idea. I'll definitely consider that in the near future. The only drawback would be giving money to a team that has an affiliation with the damn Capitals.
  10. I'd love to see an AHL game, but there aren't any teams all that close to me. The nearest ones might be Bridgeport or Hershey, which aren't really day trip distance.
  11. This. Wooden Warrior packs a hell of a punch for being so small. Easily the 2nd best woodie in New England. I have this debate with myself all the time. As of right now I'm leaning Boulder Dash as well, but I'm getting some rides on El Toro this evening to compare.
  12. I'd take Thunderbolt at SFNE over Wildcat. Both of them stink but Thunderbolt isn't actively trying to kill you.
  13. It's doable, but from what I heard it's a huge hassle. You'd be better suited renting a car.
  14. You got the exception then, I guess. I've visited the park on multiple occasions, and the words "nice" and "helpful" are not adjectives I'd use to describe their ride ops.
  15. I think we can all guess who...
  16. Sterile is a perfect word to describe Dorney. Although personally, I refer to it as "stale". That's not to say it isn't a nice place, because it has some charm and never having to wait more than five minutes for some good coasters is always a nice touch. Glad you had fun.
  17. I last rode it two years ago as well and it was much better then. Can't really blame them for letting it go to hell so quickly when most of their rides budget most likely goes towards keeping Boulder Dash in tip top shape.
  18. We sat front row and I leaned forward, but even that didn't save me from a spinal adjustment.
  19. Oh well. I found Joker to be bats**t insane and a wonderful addition. Can't wait to ride the one up in NE next summer.
  20. Phobia at Lake Compounce. First time riding this model and I absolutely loved it.
  21. I'll second the opinion that NE's staff stinks. I was there yesterday and had a particularly rude encounter with one of the ops on Wicked Cyclone. We requested the back row and the grouper obliged us and asked us to stand to the side. The rude op in question came storming towards us with such an unnecessary attitude, saying things like "next time I'll throw you off the ride." And to top it off, she slammed our restraints down really hard. Just for asking for a particular row that her co-worker said we could wait for.
  22. It was a joke my goodness. New England has some flats, but not many and they're notorious for ripping flats out and replacing them with empty ride pads.
  23. Canobie Lake. I visited for the first time Monday and was blown away at how great it was. A beautiful clean environment, a great selection of rides and a friendly atmosphere make the park a hidden gem in the North East. If anyone is up in the New England area and want something more than SFNE or Lake Compounce, the trek up to New Hampshire is well worth it.
  24. They're great rides. One at New England would be a great addition. If the rumours are true I'll definitely be back up at the park in 2017.
