  1. Twitter is my go-to social media app. It's where I get most of my news and information. Probably my favourite social media platform, because like Robb said, most of the others seem to be changing for the worse while Twitter usually gets better.
  2. Haven't expected Wentz and the Eagles to do much of anything, yet they're proving everyone wrong thus far. Yeesh, I need a shower after complimenting that team.
  3. Terrible day in the world of sports. This morning, the news broke that 24 year old MLB star Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident. Tonight, word has come out that golf legend Arnold Palmer has passed at 87.
  4. Haven't been on many. While I wouldn't call it my favourite, I liked Disneyland's. The dioramas of the dinosaurs and what not were a cool touch.
  5. Good to hear. I missed out on riding it when I went to SFOT so I'm excited it's coming here.
  6. Fair enough. Just thought I'd bring it up as you mentioned wanting to hit the flats. We don't have many, but JL adds to the collection.
  7. Definitely doable. Knock Kingda Ka out right at opening, then Zum as they're the most tempermental. Then hit Joker and the Safari. Once you get off Safari you'll be able to tackle everything, especially with a platinum flash pass. Agree that neither water ride is a 'must-do', and keep in mind the park will also have Justice League next summer.
  8. I've been to a few Giants games, and while fun, I'm of the opinion that football is much better on television. When you're sitting in a corner and the action is moving in the opposite direction you have to watch the game on a screen anyway. So might as well stay home and save $500.
  9. Definitely: GAdv Coney Island Probably: SFNE Lake Compounce Dorney Park Longshot but hopefully: CP
  10. I'm a fan of Cosmic Ray's, but I'd welcome another quick service restaurant in Tomorrowland. The park could certainly use another.
  11. No, it's not gone. Please try READING the thread next time before you post. Thanks. Sorry. I looked at a couple of posts before mine and must have misinterpreted what they said. Mea Culpa.
  12. Stitch is gone? Awesome. Hopefully Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is next.
  13. Giants 2-0 for the first time since 2009. What has me impressed the most is that Ben McAdoo actually knows how to manage the clock. If they still had Crypt Keeper as coach, the team would probably be 0-2. Oh, and that 200 million dollar defense looks damn good thus far.
  14. I used that site a couple of times this summer and can confirm it's very accurate. Excellent resource to gauge crowds before making an impulsive visit.
  15. I rode the Judge for the first time back in April. I thought it was terrible and it didn't really have any redeeming factors. I'm usually of the opinion that parks should try and keep their classic woodies, but I wouldn't shed a tear if the Judge was removed. That's a nice plot of land for a potential replacement.
  16. Very thankful for that. January rides on Nitro FTW. Also, to reiterate, if one chooses not to buy a flash pass, that's fine. But if you choose not to on a day where it's necessary, you can't complain about people who chose to buy it.
  17. Well, this thread has devolved into madness. And it's not even the offseason yet. Hope it isn't a harbinger of things to come.
  18. I don't find the idea of a skip the line pass insulting in the slightest. It comes down to personal choice. If your one and only visit to Great Adventure is a weekend during Fright Fest and you don't want to spend the money, that's all well and good, but you can't then turn around and complain about how long you waited for the rides. That being said, I'd never buy one at Great Adventure because it's my home park. For my visits to other Six Flags parks, I luckily haven't needed a flash pass yet, but I always budgeted for one.
  19. Those Friday nights in 2013 were the best. I went two weeks in a row and my friends and I basically had the park to ourselves both weeks. I understand why they got rid of them, but I wish they hadn't.
  20. If you're getting there for opening, hold off on flash pass until you gauge crowds. In my experience, the crowds for Fright Fest usually don't start pouring in until nightfall.
  21. ^ Hope you have the budget for a platinum flash pass. First weekend of Fright Fest, good luck.
  22. I usually try to find at least one redeeming quality of every coaster I've ridden, even the crappy ones. Of all the coasters I've been on, Green Lantern stands alone (no pun intended) as being a heaping pile of crap with no positives at all, except for the fact that it ends. That being said, I'll still ride it during HITP, because I am a masochist.
  23. I'd take Green Lantern from GAdv, melt down the steel, and use it for literally any other purpose.
  24. The only coasters with SRL's are Green Lantern and Joker. GL's is worthless because you shouldn't be riding Green Lantern. Only other ride with one is Zumanjaro, but that one is also worthless because the ops usually just ignore it.
  25. I don't know if you need one, but I would bring a printed voucher just to play it safe.
