  1. Yep, that's the one. You're probably right in your assessment that it won't be removed in order to divert all traffic towards the two money pits, but a man can still dream.
  2. FTFY Not saying screamscape is always wrong, but 90% accuracy is a ridiculous statistic to just conjure up.
  3. I'd love for the park to give the entire place some sorely needed TLC. A couple coats of paint, some new pavement and clearing away dead ends (paintball building) would go a long way towards improving the park more than any ride could. But I'm not going to hold my breath, either.
  4. People are putting this much stock into something screamscape posted? I mean, it's probably a decent bet this Skywarp is coming, but consider the source; screamscape is wrong as often as he is right so don't sweat it. And if it is true, another year, another flat. This is a good thing regardless of whether or not the ride meets your personal taste.
  5. Impulse at Knoebels. A lot of fun, very forceful.
  6. I'm just being facetious. I didn't like the ride but I can see the kitschy charm in it. I didn't know it used to operate at Kennywood; that certainly makes more sense from a thematic standpoint.
  7. Black Diamond sucks. I rode it because I needed to see the freak show that Justin described to me in person for myself. Words can't do justice for how terrible it is. I hope it gets torn down, because IMO it's the only blemish at the paradise that is Knoebels.
  8. I had the pastrami, and it was outstanding. For all the great rides I got to ride for the first time on this trip, one of the biggest highlights for me was Primanti's.
  9. Just had a doozy of a day at Knoebels. You can read about in detail inJCoaster's Pennsyltucky Road Trip TR, but I just wanted to pop in to say that I'm an instant fan of the park and all it has to offer. And Bill, you weren't kidding about the Pierogies. I saw Jesus when I bit into them.
  10. Sheetz and Wawa are both awesome, but I'm giving the edge to Sheetz for having a superior selection of hot food. Also, I'm the driver on this trip and Kennywood was awesome. Phantom is bats#!t insane.
  11. Finally visiting Knoebels for the first time on Wednesday, so I thought I'd consult this, and thank Bill for his handy guide. Can't wait to try some (and ride the hell out of Phoenix!)
  12. While true, I don't think the park would be using "world's first" in their marketing if they didn't mean they're adding something that no one has seen before.
  13. Thanks for sharing. I love Magic Kingdom nostalgia.
  14. Not predicting the park is adding a Raptor, just answering your question. I think it's going to be something for Hurricane Harbor; That park always reaches capacity every weekend, it desperately needs an expansion.
  15. Definitely worth it, I just can't swing it right now. $500 car insurance deductible just ripped through most of my disposable income for this trip. Real life sucks.
  16. ^ I'll keep that in mind. Sounds convenient in a pinch. Thanks for all the information, guys. Looking forward to getting out here next week.
  17. Thanks for the info. I presumed it was just their version of a Flash Pass. I'd only be interested in the one that provides unlimited rides, but $85 is just a bit too steep for me right now.
  18. Anybody here familiar with how the VIP Coaster tour works? Making my first ever visit to the park next week and I'm contemplating getting one, just want a little more insight before I decide.
  19. I don't really know how to feel about this. I am a Potter "fan" (although my enthusiasm for the property has wained in recent years), and am completely blown away by how detailed the lands are. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of Dragon Challenge. They're both objectively great coasters, but something I can't put my finger on prevents me from personally really enjoying them. That part of me doesn't mind seeing them go. On the other hand, I'm bummed two great B&M inverts are being removed for what sounds like a downgrade from the "thrill" standpoint and for something sure to have screens (seriously Universal: enough. I'm tired of having to put glasses on for almost every ride in the park) The only thing I do know with 100% certainty is that I'm sure I'll be dragged back to Universal in 2019 to see this new attraction. I just wish I were more excited.
  20. Popping my Knoebel's cherry in a couple of weeks. Please tell me more about this pork chop on a stick.
  21. ^ They weren't really enforcing that yesterday, either. I saw a guy walk into Joker's queue with his phone in his hands. The attendant just smiled and said "Enjoy your ride!"
  22. I never received a boarding pass before yesterday either. They were only giving them out at Ka at my time in the park, but I did see some strewn about Nitro's queue so I suppose they were giving them out there earlier in the day. But when the employee taking the passes from us isn't even checking the numbers, it kind of defeats the purpose of them.
