  1. Understatement of the decade. It's baffling how little they care about their socials. All they post on IG are the same 4-5 pics of the coasters, and their twitter is the drizzling s#!ts.
  2. The park's social media presence is terrible. The only time I ever see them on my Twitter timeline, it's to say that Hurricane Harbor is at capacity.
  3. Had a great ride on Talon in the rain last Wednesday. The train was flying.
  4. Kentucky Kingdom looks really nice and certainly doesn't seem small from the pictures. But honestly, the selling point of this update is the fried bologna sandwich. Looks like bliss.
  5. Bill, your facial expression in that picture is one of pure, unbridled joy. I wear a similar one at Knoebels, especially when I'm eating those pierogis. God, I need to get back to Elysburg.
  6. Thank you. I was digging around their website but didn't come across that.
  7. Anyone familiar with the park's rain policy? Most likely going today, but would like to save myself the 90 min drive if they close everything at the first drop of rain.
  8. Never waited for the front on Skyrush, I've always sacrificed myself for the back row, especially the left wing. I should try out a front row wing the next time I visit.
  9. Man, I needed a good laugh. Thanks for that. Seriously though, absolutely not. The dry side of the park will be a ghost town, like it is every day.
  10. This is awesome, despite my intense dislike for the Steelers. Kennywood is an awesome place, glad there is a new headliner to get me to visit again sooner than later.
  11. Visiting the battlefield was a humbling experience, to say the least. Although the phrase is thrown around to describe a lot of things, the Fredericksburg battlefield, especially at the Sunken Road is truly Hallowed Ground.
  12. Yep, that's usually the general feeling after the first visit to Mecca. Glad you guys enjoyed it.
  13. I was at the park two weeks ago, which was two weeks after this incident occurred. I was allowed to have my phone with me in the queue. I even entered the line with my phone in my hands and wasn't told anything, but perhaps they started cracking down.
  14. This event looks amazing. Six full hours at (IMO) the greatest park on Earth, three of which are essentially ERT? Including free snacks and drinks? And where the attractions are walk-ons? If I were visiting Orlando this summer, Disney would have my money in a heartbeat. This is a ticketed event that would be worth every penny to me.
  15. Wawa and Sheetz are both great, but Sheetz is superior. They're all over Western PA, so I'm sure there's several near Kennywood.
  16. I really enjoyed our day at Kings Dominion. Although kind of a let down after two days of Busch, I still had a blast. With the collection they have, especially their 1-2 punch of Intimidator and Twisted Timbers, I can't wait to get back. I-305 is a goddamed beast. Like Justin, I also greyed out when we rode it in the back. So much fun, but it's sheer intensity is a mild deterrent. Still an amazing, top 10 ride, however. Speaking of top 10 rides; Twisted Timbers. Wow! Easily my favorite RMC, though I've only ridden three. That run of airtime hills after the turn around off the first drop is one of my favorite sequences on any coaster. I was squealing on that run. Thus ends the portion of this thread where I was along for the trip. Enjoy the rest, everyone.
  17. Oh, hell yes. I'd love to see what they'd be able to do to that trash heap. The potential is certainly there.
  18. ^ Wasn't aware of the height restriction. Still, I personally don't think they'd add another hyper, different experience or not. I'd gladly eat my words though, they're still pretty damn fun.
  19. They already have a hyper. Why would they add another? Perhaps it's a giga.
  20. All seven coasters at BGW, and every one at KD except Volcano and Apple Zapple
  21. Three-way tie of Apollo's Chariot, I-305, and Twisted Timbers. Three amazing machines.
  22. I don't usually drink, but the craft beer room in Festhaus was an oasis our two days there. A comfortable, air conditioned room with leather lounge chairs and ice cold suds; what could be a better way to beat the Virginia swelter? The food and wine festival was great. Not quite on par with Epcot, but delicious nonetheless. My personal favourites were the Ropa Vieja from Cuba, and the pineapple mac & cheese from Hawaii.
  23. My only tip is don't buy a flash pass in advance.
  24. Dominator at KD during their fireworks display Saturday night. Awesome visuals on that ride.
  25. As mentioned, this was my first visit to Busch Gardens. I instantly fell in love with the place. World Showcase is my favorite part of Epcot so an entire park in a similar vein is right up my alley. It's definitely now up amongst my favorite parks, and I look forward to visiting again.
