the slow down mid course i definitely know, but i was curious about the slow down before the first drop. i don't remember doing it before. while i like superman's acceleration, TTD is way better. Formula Rossa must be insane. If I remember correctly, Goliath's lift hill wasn't slowed until a few seasons after it opened. I remember the days too when the MCBR didn't slam you against the seat in front of you...I used to grey-out during the helix every single time in those days.

Here's what I'm tired of - people COMPLAINING about this!!! Seriously, if you were a "smart theme park enthusiast" you would know that it makes a LOT more sense for a park chain to come up with a theming package and then use it at as many parks as possible. These parks are all regional parks. Do you know how many people end up at multiple Six Flags parks each year? The number is very, very, very, very, very small. So to all of us to keep tabs on ALL the parks, it looks like there are Batman rides everywhere. But to the people who only visit one or two Six Flags parks in their entire lifetime, they have no idea. And hi, if you're going to give crap to Six Flags for doing this, then why aren't people giving crap to Disney, too, which have been cloning rides and themes for rides in their parks since the 1970s. Legoland does it, too. So please, just STOP WITH THE COMPLAINING!!! For Christ sakes, the chain is building a lot of really cool stuff right now. Would you rather it be the years when they built nothing? Slap as many Batman logos on rides as they need to as long as it brings us some cool, unique attractions. /end rant Sorry *buries head in dirt ostrich style*

Awesome progress! A small part of me still wishes they'd gotten a custom layout from Premier, if SFMM was able to put up Yolo for only $6 mil BGW could've done something similar with two trains. But I digress

Smooth and intense is always the best mix (Maverick, El Toro, Green Lantern and Goliath at MM)

Six Flags should've just left Goliath at SFMM as Deja Vu if they were going to butcher it with new (crap) trains. My friends who aren't coaster enthusiasts ask all the time why MM removed it. I always just shrug

I think TC and WC will end up being RMCs best coasters to date so that's why there is constant comparison. Not to mention both rides were announced on the same day so it's only natural they'd be compared to one another.

Goliath (SFMM) opening year when the mid-course brakes didn't grab as hard as they do now

I remember reading a while back a rumor this ride would have a transfer track ala Mr. Freeze to increase capacity, wonder if that is true or not.
