  1. Perhaps the blocking and computer systems on Twisted Colossus are more sophisticated than we are anticipating. I would like to hope that as long as Six Flags runs at least 2 trains on TC that the computer and blocking systems will do the rest. LIke people were pointing out how when Dueling Dragons dueled the lift hill speeds would adjust etc; THAT WAS IN '98! The advancement of computers has increased 100 fold since then.
  2. But you can't go get a Double-Double animal-style right after riding Wicked Cyclone, now, can you? Ugh. I just have to rant about this... In-N-Out is the most overrated restaurant on the planet. I really think people like it just because they have been told "You have to think it's cool, and people on your Facebook page will think you're cool if you check in here." I lived most of my life with one ten minutes away from my house. I didn't dislike it, but I never understood why people went crazy for it. The burgers are not that amazing. They are "ok" at best. Shake Shack, Five Guys, Burger 21, The Counter all have better burgers. But I guess there isn't any bragging rights at those restaurants, are there? The awful pretentiousness of your average southern Californian "I'm better than you because I live here" a$$hat was one of the main reasons I had to get away from that terrible state. /end rant --Robb "I'd rather go to White Castle." Alvey I agree, everytime I pass by an In and Out it befuddles me why the line is always down the block. Their food isnt BAD by any stretch, it just isnt special. Much rather have Five Guys, The Habit, Fuddruckers, or Red Robin
  3. Kinda speaks volumes to how well built/maintained The Raven is... so many people licking their chops at the prospect of Legend and/or Voyage getting hands laid upon them by RMC
  4. Wicked Cyclone, just looks very intense and unrelenting. Although TC is the PERFECT ride for MM
  5. Fair enough, altho something about WC just looks so much more intense than TC. Just seems like the track is so tightly woven together on WC and a little more stretched out on TC. Props to RMC on both projects, I'm super excited for next year.
  6. I agree, the skyline looks great especially travelling south on Interstate 5 this will only enhance it. I wonder why type of night lights they've planned...
  7. I agree. Peoole who overuse sarcasm think they're coming off witty and intelligent but it always screams socially inept IMO.
  8. WELL IF RCDB SAYS IT Dont sass me Miss, just going by what it says since we have no other info and we kno how cheap Six Flags is...
  9. I hadn't actually thought of it that way until now. I'm surprised they didn't announce it as being the first coaster on the planet to have two high five sections. At first I thought Twisted Colossus was a racer but when I heard it had two lift hills I was like huh? and watched the video again realizing it's twice around the same circuit (tracks changes from blue to green right before the second lift hill) which means the high five element twice (once on each side). I think it will be a four train ride with a dual loading station. This would make it easier to sync the trains' dispatches so they can duel. When one train is in rehab, it could still duel with three train operation and one side of the station. It could possibly be a five train ride with a dual loading station but that is wishful thinking and one train would always be stacked. RCDB says the ride only has two trains I can see the lines all the way back to Apocalypse already
  10. The more I watch the vid, the more it seems like this COULD be RMC's best creation yet. The ride just looks so relentless and intense, guess I'll finally have to make the trip to SFNE next year
  11. This seems like a great addition for SFOT. I've been curious about these interactive dark rides ever since I saw an IAAPA vid from a couple years ago showcasing them
  12. Will RCDB list this on their site??? I do love the fact that it's much bigger than the carnival version, love the colors and "theming" too
  13. Oh and how ironic that the name is Batman: The Ride when they technically already have a B:TR named Goliath; another overused SF name
  14. The ride looks pretty amazing, these will probably pop up at Six Flags all over since it has an attractive price tag.
  15. Love this!!! Looks like Steel Medusa's mean, bratty little sister
  16. Can't wait to ride this thing, love how it still has the original Colossus vibe. The name now seems very fitting after seeing this
  17. Just goes to show that speed isn't everything, Batman is half the speed of Superman but twice the intensity
  18. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Has anyone noticed or mentioned that several of the screams and coaster sounds heard on the animation vid for Thunderbird are from this video? Particularly at 1:05 amd 2:55. Random, but interesting
  19. I think those 3 rides are pretty decent, especially considering SF spent <30 million combined for them
  20. The next couple of days are shaping up to be very exciting!
  21. Hulk to this day is still one of the most striking coasters to look at, aside from the launch it just has a unique look to it that none of the other B&Ms have.
  22. Complaints about complaining! But then I guess I'm complaining about complaining about complaining. Perhaps someone will complain about me complaining about complaining about complaining. Let's see if Twisted Colossus has as many inversions as the the number of times "complaining" has appeared in the this thread the last few days
