  1. It's almost like they're trying to get the ride converted to floorless before the season ends.
  2. For steel coasters, depending on how tight the restraints are decides whether I've got my hands up or am holding on. Like when I went on Shambhala in October last year, I managed to get the restraint down somewhat tight (not stapled but a firmly pressed down) so I kept my hands up for most of the ride. When I went back in April, I'd gotten a tad bit fatter, which meant I was just off getting the restraint down one more notch to give me that security of putting my hands up. For woodies, I generally have a ride while holding on to get a feel for the laterals, then on other rides I have my hands up, but then grab on with 1 or both hands when a strong lateral comes up. I like to do these with both my hands up and legs stretched. It enhances the freefall feeling. I try doing that, but as soon as the weightless-ness kicks in, I'm like "oh ****" and grab on for dear life.
  3. Trivium @ Download Festival 2014 I also caught the last 30 minutes of Aerosmith once Trivium had finished their set.
  4. I've always said it, but I want Magnus Colossus at Terra Mitica to get the Iron horse treatment. I just love imagining what could happen with that dive off the quarry hills. And maybe also Coaster Express at Parque Warner... ... You know what? while we're at it, every RCCA coaster.
  5. http://rcdb.com/9863.htm Here you go. Yes! This sounds very interesting. I highly doubt it will open on time. AFAIK nothing happened on the construction site yet. If it doesn't, does this mean 2015 could be the first year in over 2 decades where Intamin hasn't built anything?
  6. As much as that seems extremely unlikely, I hope it's true.
  7. I knew this BCN world expansion was going to be big when they first announced it, but stretching all the way down from the park to the sea just seems like too much.
  8. I think that's generally just because stand-ups have a pretty poor capacity compared to floorless coasters because of the restraint issues on stand ups.
  9. ^ Really? dang, I was really fooled for a moment there.
  10. If I'm honest, I kinda thought the same thing about Helix while it was being constructed. I saw everyone raving about it and how amazing it was going to be/look, and I just didn't get it. As for WC, I'm so looking forward to it, even just for the real POV's since I'll likely never get to ride it in person.
  11. It's not that they hate america, it's just when they got arrested in 98, it kind of left a sour taste in their mouths. The poor feedback they got from their 2001 also didn't help. That said, since they got an amazing response after their 2011 and 2012 tours, they should be back when the next album is out, albeit after an extensive EU tour.
  12. Rammstein, just Rammstein in general. I've seem them 3 times and each time they have been phenomenal. The heat from the flames is just unbelievable, you really need to experience it to believe it.
  13. Mitsuba Mutsumi from the anime Seitokai Yakuindomo.
  14. I'm kind of on the fence about this now, it looks like what I wanted it to look like (a cleaned up RCT3), but I'm still a bit sceptical about the coasters, since they haven't really truly showed them off yet and it's kind of supposed to be the main part of the game. As for the overly themed rides, for the moment I'm okay with them, I mean, RCT3 did the same thing by both very themed versions and generic looking versions of most of the rides, and it looks like RCTW is going to be doing the same thing atm.
  15. Even though I probably won't get to ride either of these coasters, WC is the one I'm most looking forward to. I don't know what it is, but TC just looks like it's missing something, like it just looks really bare compared to the wall of wood that was the original Colossus.
  16. ^ I thought the official announcement was enough of a confirmation.
  17. "Four minutes of thrills on nearly 5,000 feet of track – longest hybrid coaster in the world" What about the Ultimate?
  18. Damn, That looks...damn. Downside being I'd likely never get the chance to ride it.
  19. Before this season, you would swear the mcbr was just turned off all the time.
  20. I think it's mostly because the cost generally includes the theming as well, or am I mistaken.
  21. I rode it just at the start of the season, the only points that get affected are the dive out of the brakes (which is a tad bit slower) and the loop (which now has floater instead of hammering you into your seat). The corkscrews are pretty much still as snappy as they've ever been. As I said a couple of pages ago, the neuter is not ride ruining, it changes the experience of the first 2 elements out of the brakes, but it does not ruin the ride.
