  1. It is a Thursday in late February But yeah, it's totally possible to have a perfectly good day anytime of the year without having any fastpasses before arriving. Might not be able to get on every single attraction you want exactly when you want to but you can have a perfectly good time. I've done all of the major attractions in Epcot in like 5 hours with only a pass for test Track on a Saturday in June.
  2. Great report as always, I remember visiting the London Dungeon as a kid (maybe not the best attraction for a 10 year old but I think I turned out okay) and just being blow away by it. Would love to experience it again as an adult and see if it's as much fun as I remember.
  3. Same, I love the Mexico pavilion. I've yet to eat at the new restaurant on the water but no trip to EPCOT is complete for me without a margarita and a ride on the Donald Duck Boat Ride (as my kids refer to it).
  4. I went and saw Bring Me The Horizon and Thrice in Orlando last Friday, what a fun show that was. The Fever 333 also played but I dind't make it in time for their set (oh well haha). Bring Me The Horizon's new album released that same day so that was kind cool seeing some new stuff live for the first itme. I'm not really a massive fan of either band but do know quote a bit of their material, but they both killed it, just a party from start to finish. BMTH is playing a rock festival here in town in May and I'll definitely be catching their set there.
  5. Wow, that footage of the maintenance guy climbing the shuttle loop with no fall protection, different world back then haha.
  6. I've been wondering if we'd ever see the flight of passage ride system used anywhere else in the future, not sure if the height requirement of FOP fits for Zootopia but I'm sure there is some exciting potential for that system somewhere in the future.
  7. 1. Name 3 of your favorite roller coasters, but not your top 3. Phantom's Revenge, Storm Runner, Space Mountain 2. About how many different parks did you visit in 2018? 5 or 6 maybe? Didn't really keep count 3. Which 2018 park visit was your favorite? First trip back to Cedar Point in about 10 years. 4. Your favorite 2018 park addition (ride, food, show, etc)? Steel Vengance/Toy Story Land 5. What ride exceeded your expectations the most in 2018? Flight of Passage 6. Best meal/food at a park in 2018? Always love Navi Canteen in Pandora. 7. What was your favorite new coaster of 2018 NOT made by RMC or Larson? Slinky Dog Dash! 8. Name one park you will definitely visit in 2019. Something Disney most likely, but hoping to get to Carowinds and Wild Adventures. 9. Best ride themed to a bird? Phoenix? 10. Lamest ride/coaster you rode in 2018? Triceratops Spin haha 11. What roller coaster currently sits at the top of your bucketlist? (degree of difficulty: NOT a new-for-2019 ride) Wildfire 12. What new-for-2019 ride or coaster are you most looking forward to? Not counting everything in Orlando, Copperhead Strike 13. Name the first totally middle-of-the-road (not bad/not great) park that comes to mind. Legoland 14. You're in Orlando and magically have a 1-hour ERT session on 1 coaster of your choice at any park in the city. You choose... Space Mountain 15. Holiday In The Park vs. Winterfest. Who reigns supreme? Never been to either but would probably go Holiday for me, Winterfest for the fam/kids. 16. Mystic Timbers mystery shed or Wicker Man fire infusion? Wickerman? 17. Which Six Flags have you been to most recently? Six Flags over Georgia 18. Intamin or Schwarzkopf? You may only choose one. Intamin 19. Battle of Kings Coasters: Island or Dominion? Pick one. Island 20. What was the longest you waited for a ride/coaster in 2018? probably close to an hour for Dragser with FL+, I think it had just come up from downtime so the que was backed up. 21. What roller coaster have you ridden more than any other? No idea, maybe Kentucky Rumbler? 22. Best drop tower under 150 feet? ARM towers, 23. Maverick or Millennium Force? (If you haven't been to CP, pick what you want to ride more) Maverick 24. Log flumes or sky rides? You can only choose one. Log Flumes all day 25. What are 3 things you enjoying doing at your home park other than riding rides? Food, shows, maybe shopping if I'm picking EPCOT as my home park. 26. What is your second favorite Cedar Fair park and why? Kings Island, The Beast and general nostalgia for the place (my "home park" growing up) 27. What is your home park and give us two good reasons why we should pay it a visit. Now I don't really have one so I'll just pick EPCOT, reasons to visit? Food, booze haha. 28. Launch or Lift? Lift, but I dig a good launch. 29. Did you buy fast pass at all in 2018? FL+ at Cedar Point, best day ever there. 30. What is your least favorite wooden coaster? Monstre at la Ronde 31. Disney fanboys: cool or cult? Little bit of both depending on where you look. 32. Best Batman themed ride? All of the inverts, but I want to see some reviews of that Batman Dark ride in Dubai. 33. Have you ever been hit with something (loose change/a tree/vomit/etc) while riding something? Rain? 36. Skywarps: credits or no? State your case. Who cares 37. Turkey legs: nah or yaaaaassssss? Nah... 38. What is the most recent B&M that you rode? Valravn 39. You can eat nothing but corn dogs, churros or funnel cake for the next 48 hours, which do you choose? Churros 40. Post a great on-ride shot of you from 2018.
  8. I was curious what they were going to do with that "dead end" section of the park after the old entrance to Toy Story mania was relocated but it looks like they filled it in nicely with some meet and greets and other nice things. I still haven't watched the Muppets show, I always kind of forget it's there, shame on me haha.
  9. Great report as always Adam, I'm not the biggest Potter fan but I'd love to check that out if I'm ever in London. I wonder if the expansion is going to be just more of the same type of exhibits or if they're going to add anything else.
  10. We had a great time at the Festival of the Arts last year, really loved the whole concept of it. I might actually prefer it to Food and Wine.
  11. Hangar Bar and Giordano's, pretty much a perfect day right there, but I guess all the other stuff is cool to .
  12. ^That's awesome, congrats man.
  13. I'm excited to see what they actually do with this thing. Will it still be two separate tracked racing/dueling coasters? converted into a single track with a single station like Colossus? Chopped up into one single long track with some of the structure removed? No idea but should be fun to see where this thing goes. Also, will this be RMC's highest profile project to date? I guess Steel Vengeance was a pretty big deal in the coaster community, WIldfire looks amazing but is at a park that's a little off the beaten path. Busch Gardens is a year round park in the massively "visible" central Florida theme park market, probably the highest attended park to get an RMC to date. Feels like this could be a massive project for both the park and RMC.
  14. There will be a restaurant attached to the NBA Experience but as of now it won't be branded as being part of it. https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2018/10/looking-ahead-city-works-eatery-pour-house-will-open-at-disney-springs-in-2019/ Yeah I remember that news but for some reason thought this was going to be a newer version of the old NBA City at city walk. I guess there's so many other great dining options at Disney Springs why try to compete with those? If you daily access allows you to come and go, leave for lunch and come back or something, I'm all for it.
  15. lololol i love this word filter Haha For some reason I was under the impression that this was going to be some kind of restaurant but sounds like it's more of an interactive exhibit/museum, might be fun. No idea what the price point will be but if it's reasonable I'd probably give it a try sometime.
  16. Yeah, it really doesn't looks that bad but no where near on par with modern facilities. I always did want to go see a Raider game in Oakland but I guess I'll settle for Vegas when the new venue opens.
  17. I remember when this concept was introduced it looked like it might be a great addition to small park or maybe even an FEC but I never thought about a cruise ship. Looks like a great fit and should be a lot of fun. I don't cruise as often as some here but would something like this typically be an up charge? On RCCL is the carousel, and zip line, giant slides are those types of attractions up-charges?
  18. I'm sure I'll hit some parks in Orlando throughout the year, maybe BGT, but I really want to take the kids to either Carowinds or Dollywood next summer.
  19. The cost of water is nominal since it is continually recycled although some does has to be continually added. I'm not so sure it's "nominal", I don't have a calculation but we're probably talking in the millions of gallons annually that have to added as makeup just from evaporation alone. I'm still waiting for the "amusement style water rides" at a water park revolution to begin.
  20. For whatever it's worth the new ads do a pretty decent job of targeting, I've actually clicked on a couple of ads and browsed around for a bit after the link.
  21. At least someone was paying enough attention to can the Percy Jackson attraction.
  22. FYI Cedar Point has a sale on today for single day admission and a fastlane+ for $75. Cyber Monday sale, expires at midnight for anyone who's planning a trip for next season.
  23. Get a fastpass for Soarin, if any are available, then hit Frozen at park opening then head to Test Track and use the single rider line or standby. There may or may not be passes available depending on when you book them but even without passes its pretty reasonable to get on the three major attraction within the first 2-3 hours if you're inside the park ready to go when it opens.
  24. We are thinking about doing a trip to Dollywood for the kids Spring Break in late March and I thought there's no way Wildwood Grove will be done by then, but with this much progress already complete who knows there might be a chance.
  25. Anyone local to the park know if Carowinds is running any Black Friday sales this year? I haven't seen any online but I don't follow this park as closely on social media and stuff. I'm tentatively planning a trip there next year and would love to scoop up a discounted single day admission and Fastlane+ if they're offering it (I know I saw one for Cedar Point and Maybe Kings Island).
