  1. Millennium Force - Cedar Point
  2. High Roller - Valleyfair
  3. Granted, but it's so expensive that you can't afford to go. I wish I lived closer to my home park.
  4. ^ You might encounter a few 20-30 minutes lines, particularly for Renegade and High Roller, but other than that, it shouldn't be too bad today. On another note, to any that's been to VF in the past few weeks, are there any new flags or markers that could hint at where the 2016 addition will be located?
  5. Banshee - Kings Island
  6. Minor update... California: California Screamin' Florida: Dragon Challenge (Blue) Illinois: Goliath Iowa: Tornado Minnesota: Renegade Missouri: Ozark Wildcat (defunct) Ohio: Top Thrill Dragster
  7. Same for me. It is sad how it runs faster on my iPhone than my Mac. I've been playing it for about half-an-hour, and I'm enjoying it very much. If you're a fan of RCT3, I'd say it's definitely worth the five bucks. It will be a good time-passer for me.
  8. Valleyfair 2016) 40th anniversary celebration with new Larson Flyers and refurbishment of older rides. 2017) New waterslides for Soak City along with new parking lot that replaces Excalibur. 2018) Triotech Dark Ride. 2019) B&M inverted coaster. 2020) New family/kiddie rides added to Planet Snoopy.
  9. Some of you may have already seen this in some other threads, but I saw this chart below in a Cedar Fair presentation that shows their basic plans for park additions/changes over the next five years. Also, probably not what most of you want to hear, but the presentation also showed that Valleyfair is still second lowest park in the chain (above Michigan's Adventure) for both revenue and EBITDA. 10. Over-the-shoulder restraints on Excalibur? Sounds like a nightmare.
  11. Vortex can be a decent ride if you sit in the front row and brace yourself for the transitions, but yeah, it's certainly not my favorite Arrow looper.
  12. I don't have a single most overrated coaster, but I'll name a few that come to mind. -Flight of Fear (Kings Island): Most people seem to really like this ride, but I wasn't impressed. Most of the ride is kinda forceless, the transitions are pretty jerky, and the mid-course brakes almost bring the ride to a complete stop. -Millennium Force: Even though it's my #3 overall coaster, after years of hearing about how it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, it didn't quite live up to the hype. It came close though. -Superman: Ultimate Flight (Six Flags Great America): The pretzel loop is simply amazing, but after that, the ride is pretty much over.
  13. Ride Steel Venom first since it will be the only coaster open for early entry. Once the rest of the park opens, go straight to Mad Mouse since it can get long lines due to bad capacity. After that, feel free to hit the rest of the rides at your leisure (although I'd ride Renegade earlier in the day too). Most of the food is your typical amusement park fare, although Chickie's and Pete's is pretty good.
  14. Gemini - Cedar Point
  15. I would definitely ride it in the back. When I was at the park last summer, my first ride on Goliath was a little underwhelming. Later in the day, I re-rode it further back in the train and had a pretty insane ride. Just hope that they're not assigning rows (this park has a tendency to assign seats from my experience).
  16. ^ I don't think we necessarily need brand-new restrooms, the existing ones just need to be renovated and brought up to modern standards.
  17. New Valleyfair blog about the park's early years. It's about time they updated their blog. https://www.valleyfair.com/blog-article/online-fun/Flashback
  18. Not sure if this is completely true, but I've heard that in the early 2000s there was supposed to a B&M invert called Falcon: Bird of Prey located where the Dinos are now and have a layout similar to Talon at Dorney Park, but for whatever reason, those plans fell through and we got Steel Venom instead. It's too bad that happened because even though I like Steel Venom, I would much rather have had the B&M invert.
  19. No thank you. Valleyfair already has plenty of mediocre coasters and we don't need another one.
  20. I'm quite impressed with how much they are investing in the new Haunt maze considering that it is only going to be used 14 nights a year. I also agree that High Roller needs to get a fresh coat of paint soon. In addition to that, these are a few other improvements I wish they would make: -More charging stations throughout the park. Caribou Coffee is currently the only place at VF where I can charge my phone. -Another indoor sit-down restaurant. Coasters and Chickies & Petes are the only ones the park has and they could use another one. -New entrance plaza. Even though I like the charm that the current entrance has, it's a bit too small for a modern amusement park. Would be nice if they could get an entrance plaza like the one at Cedar Point or Kings Island. -Updated restrooms. Some of them seem like they haven't been upgraded in years. -New coat of paint on Steel Venom. It is starting to look a little bleached.
  21. I would be fine if Larson Flyers were the park's only new attraction next year, however since they don't cost very much (I believe they are around $200,000), I hope they spend the rest of their budget for next year on making some more general improvements. This might just be me, but I feel that Valleyfair as a whole is still a little outdated compared to some other parks. Where did you hear this?
  22. I love both of these rides, but my vote goes to Maverick for being an amazingly intense and aggressive ride from start to finish. Maverick throws you around a lot, but it does so in the best way possible. While Maverick is the better ride in my opinion, I do prefer Millennium Force's first drop and first turn over Maverick's.
  23. The Underground at Adventureland.
  24. ...you've ever asked your parents about what coasters you rode as a young child to make sure your coaster count is accurate.
