  1. Supercat (when it still had the canopy) is the best flat ride ever made. Where do people think VF will locate the new Mondial Frisbee? And where will the Larson Flyers go? The amphitheater spot seems like the most logical location for a Delirium clone (I can't think of any other open spot in the park big enough for one unless they remove something). It would also have good curb appeal there. Driving up to the park while watching it in motion would probably look very nice. If we get Flyers, the old Chaos spot seems likely since markers have been spotted there, although there are several potential places where they could put it.
  2. To be fair, if we did get a Delirium clone, it would be one of the best rides at Valleyfair in my opinion. I've ridden maXair at Cedar Point and it was a lot of fun, and if a VF version is on the level of maXair, I think it would be better than all of the coasters in the park except Renegade and Steel Venom.
  3. The skyline of downtown Saint Cloud.
  4. Never. When was the last time you rode a B&M hypercoaster?
  5. I love Frisbee-style rides, but I'd rather wait and see if Delirium at KD turns out to be a success because it is being built by Mondial, the world's most reliable ride manufacturer .
  6. ^ Any non-wheel seat on The Beast should be just fine, although I found the front row to be the smoothest.
  7. ^ Seems like the conversion process took about 5 months, give or take a few weeks for Rougarou, but I guess they might be able to get it done faster here since CGA doesn't have to deal with the weather that Cedar Point does.
  8. I'm a little surprised that they went the "Storm Chaser" route and named it something completely unrelated to the original ride, but nevertheless, RMC has hit another home run with the Joker. Should be very intense with lots of airtime.
  9. So are they going to announce Vortex's closing and the floorless conversion soon? I'd assume they'd have to close the ride and start the conversion process fairly soon if they want to have it ready for opening day next year.
  10. I'm not expecting anything very big either. I know that I should never get my hopes too high with Valleyfair being my home park, though it would be nice to be surprised.
  11. It probably would be an extra-charge attraction because it only seats 8 people per cycle, and if they don't charge for it, the lines will be ridiculous. Even the full-size Screamin' Swings can get fairly long lines.
  12. ^ Thanks for the update. Now we know we're at least getting something . It's just a question of exactly what it is at this point.
  13. To me, the only airtime on Wild Thing that's really good is on the first hill after the drop. The air on the return run is very weak unless you're lucky enough to get a lightly-braked ride.
  14. I'm not so sure Wild Thing still holds the sustained airtime record because it opened in 1996, and there are plenty other hypers with longer-looking airtime moments that have opened since then.
  15. ...you plan on getting up early on Thursday for the Six Flags announcements.
  16. Rougarou was the only "new for 2015" coaster I rode this year. While it's no Kraken, it's a very fun and intense floorless coaster that managed to make my top 20. All of the other coasters that opened in 2015 looked pretty good, although Twisted Colossus, Wicked Cyclone, and Fury 325 look particularly impressive.
  17. I think Excalibur is just an 'okay' ride. The left-banked turn after the turnaround is rather forceful (occasionally causes partial greyouts), and the pop of ejector air that follows is nice, but besides those parts, it's a pretty average ride. If Excalibur ends up getting removed after the 2016 season (right now, all signs are pointing to Excalibur staying another year), I probably won't miss it that much.
  18. I did not ride any of the kiddie coasters at Cedar Point or Kings Island. Even though those are five credits I missed out on, I'd rather spend my time riding thrilling rides. At Six Flags Great America, I still have yet to ride Whizzer and the blue slide of American Eagle.
  19. ^ I agree that new parking toll booths would be nice since the current ones really aren't much of anything. On another note, a few days ago, the Twitter page Valleyfair Fan Page posted this picture of a 40th anniversary VF logo on a season pass advertisement somewhere in the park. Of course, nothing's confirmed, but this makes me think that VF might be having a season-long 40th anniversary celebration next year similar to what Kings Dominion did in 2014 with a few new small rides and some other improvements.
