  1. Nice trip report, thanks for sharing! Though not particularly high on my bucket list, I would like to visit SFOG someday, especially for Goliath since I'm a sucker for B&M hypers.
  2. ...while waiting in line, you count the number of people in front of you to estimate the number of trains/cycles left until you ride.
  3. Granted, but you'll still feel drowsy during the day. I wish to ride Raging Bull at SFGAm with the trim off.
  4. Making another trip down to Nick Universe tomorrow.
  5. I live 2 hours away from Valleyfair, 2 hours 15 minutes from Mall of America, and 3 hours from Adventureland. It stinks that I have to drive that far to get to a decent park, but it's better than nothing.
  6. Definitely Top Thrill Dragster, that launch is perfection.
  7. Just under a month left until I visit Carowinds . Based on what I've read, it sounds like I should ride Nighthawk and Ricochet first due to low capacity, and ride Intimidator before Fury to avoid being disappointed. Am I right? Any other tips?
  8. Valleyfair
  9. ^ Yes, CGA was a former Paramount Park. Thunderhawk says hi! Thunderhawk was only nine years old at the time of its relocation, makes more sense to have done it then. Even if they gave it new trains, I don't think it would be worth relocating Flight Deck at this point in its lifespan, especially considering its reputation of being one of the roughest SLCs.
  10. I can't see Cedar Fair relocating a 21-year-old SLC, this isn't Six Flags. That said, I've pretty much given up any hopes of a B&M (or any new coaster in general) at Valleyfair for now, mainly because all of Cedar Fair's recent new coasters have been going to either Cedar Point or the former Paramount Parks (the last non-CP/PP coaster was Prowler at WOF in 2009). If we did get a new coaster soon, that would be great, but I'm not counting on it.
  11. Spongebob Rock Bottom Plunge at Nick Universe.
  12. X-Flight - Six Flags Great America
  13. ...you get excited when your school brings a carnival flat ride to campus.
  14. Yep, I've lost a decent amount of sleep over theme park anticipation. ...any of these apply to you: https://www.sixflags.com/greatamerica/newsroom/super-fan-signs
  15. Superman: Ultimate Flight - Six Flags Great America
  16. If anyone is interested, there is a new Valleyfair 40th anniversary history exhibit opening at the Scott County Historical Society in downtown Shakopee. http://scottcountyhistory.org/museum-exhibit/valleyfair-celebrating-40-years-of-fun/ Also, looks like Flying Eagles is almost ready.
  17. Thinking about taking a weekend trip down to Worlds of Fun sometime this summer, most likely in July or early August. For whatever weekend I go, I'd probably be at the the park on Friday night, Saturday (full day), and a few hours on Sunday. Is the park usually very busy on weekends (hour long waits for marquee atractions)?
  18. Corkscrew at Cedar Point, very jerky transitions, lots of headbanging, and not very exciting when you exclude the roughness. While it wasn't brutally rough, I don't think I'd ride it again next time I'm at CP.
  19. Last August, Adventureland. When was the last time you went to a mall?
