  1. RE/MAX is the company that bought out the park today. Not sure about next Sunday.
  2. Guests that take out their phones on the rides. Yesterday morning while I was working at Wild Thing, we had to stop the train on the lift five times in less than an hour for people taking out cell phones. Is it really that hard to go without your phone for a few minutes?
  3. Six Flags: Goliath (SFGAm) Cedar Fair: Fury 325 Herschend: Lightning Rod Disney: California Screamin' Universal: Dragon Challenge (blue side) SeaWorld: Kraken
  4. We've been using multiple switchbacks at Wild Thing today, it's about a 45 minute wait, running two trains. The school groups should start leaving around 3 pm and by 5 or so it should be a short wait for most rides.
  5. I don't think we'll be getting Knott's Boomerang, Ouimet said last year that he wasn't a fan of ride relocations. Thankfully, that means we shouldn't have to worry about getting the SLC from Canada's Wonderland either. http://www.latimes.com/travel/themeparks/la-trb-cedar-fair-coasters-20150827-story.html
  6. 7/10, good top five.
  7. Ricochet - Carowinds
  8. I'm jealous, that's running way faster than last week when I rode.
  9. Splash pad. With no slides. There needs to be a children's area with slides like the one at Water Park of America. Exactly.
  10. Another waterpark expansion would be a fine addition, but I agree with PhantomPoster32 that it should be more than just another slide tower. A large tipping bucket children's play area is something the waterpark is really lacking. I'd guess they might also remove the Panic Falls slides since they're rather pointless now that we have the new slides. As for a dark ride, I would welcome one of those, but don't have the slightest idea what they'd theme it to. On another note, I'll be starting my ride operator position at Valleyfair this week . Still not sure what ride I'll be working at, but it should be an interesting experience.
  11. Nickelodeon Universe - Mall of America - Bloomington, Minnesota
  12. 6/10 - Basic but it works.
  13. Ugh... http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/rollercoaster-passengers-left-stuck-45ft-8057003?ICID=FB_mirror_main
  14. Screamscape is reporting that Lightning Rod is having troubles with the launch again. http://www.screamscape.com/html/dollywood.htm
  15. ^^ I also noticed the dirt-moving behind Chickies and Petes. It was a fairly small plot of land so I doubt it's anything too significant. Maybe a new permanent Haunt maze? As for Looping Starship, if the rumor is true, they could move it to the WT turnaround or the old Tilter spot, but I don't know if it's popular enough to warrant saving. It hardly ever has a line unless the park is packed.
  16. Cinnamon Bread at Dollywood, no contest.
  17. I rode my first alpine coaster earlier this week, it was the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster. It was a fun ride through the woods with semi-decent intensity, and it was also neat being able to control the speed. Glad I got to experience it, and I'd definitely like to ride more of these in the future.
  18. It would be great if Mean Streak got RMC'd IMO, but it's possible that this could just be another case of Cedar Point screwing with enthusiasts (like they did with the MF restraints in February).
  19. Dropped by VF for a few fours today, noticed a few small changes... New electronic sign near front of park is working. Looks nice. They've placed these sound mufflers on the side of Wild Thing's MCBR, smart move since they're using amphitheater this year. New Corkscrew entrance sign.
  20. Magnum XL-200 is still my favorite coaster from Arrow for its extreme airtime, but Tennessee Tornado is a close second for being relatively forceful and butter smooth.
