I hope they bring back the webcam for North Star construction. They didn't have it last year, presumably due to Flying Eagles not taking long to set up, but this looks like reason enough to bring it back.

To be fair, there is still plenty of time for them to announce something, but since it's Michigan's Adventure, I'm doubtful.

I agree about the Winterfests being a bit of a disappointment. Unless they're running a few decent rides, I don't see what makes it much more appealing than other Christmas festivals closer to home. The new additions to County Fair do look nice though.

Excited for this addition to the park . It'll give the skyline a much needed upgrade, and it looks a lot more thrilling than the Windseekers.

I've become a bit less embarrassed about being a coaster enthusiast since my last post in this thread. I've more open about because I've come to realize that most people won't really care about what I'm interested as long as I don't annoy them about it.While isn't something I tell people about all the time, I don't really have a problem with people knowing about my interest in coasters and parks. I'm usually the go-to guy for park information among my family and close friends, and I'm now okay with wearing coaster t-shirts in public (though mostly just in the parks).

Intimidator - Carowinds

Carowinds was a little underwhelming for me. Fury 325 is the best coaster on this planet and Afterburn is one of the better B&M inverts, but I didn't care much for the rest of their ride lineup (Intimidator is fun but definitely the weakest B&M I've ridden). The park's atmosphere also felt very generic with not much charm or soul to it. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun park for sure, but without Fury, I'm not sure if it would have been worth the trip.

Does anyone know what orange markings mean? Last time I rode High Roller, I noticed some orange markings on the ground to the right of the second hill and turnaround.

My thoughts exactly. 100 feet doesn't really scream "new heights" to me.

If it does end up being a Star Flyer, I think it would be good addition. While I haven't ridden one yet, it does look more thrilling than the Windseeker models. Would also have some nice curb appeal being close to the front of the park and Highway 101.

Sad to see Enterprise go, it's actually my second favorite flat ride in the park behind Xtreme Swing, but I guess I can live without it. Anyway, heard a rumor from a fellow employee that a Windseeker (potentially relocated from Carowinds) could be going in Enterprise's spot next year, but don't quote me on that.

Fairly sure Excalibur isn't going anywhere just yet. The second Excalibur train is currently in the maintenance shop getting refurbished, don't think they'd want to remove it right after doing that.

I thought they were gonna add it where the Bumper Cars are Don't really think the Bumper Cars building is suitable to house a dark ride. Even if it was, it would have to be a very small/short ride to fit in there. Can't see a dark ride working here unless building's footprint is extended.

Even though it definitely won't be a coaster due to the lack of land clearing, if they really are planning on announcing it next week instead of September like they usually do, this could be a more substantial addition than in the past few ones. I rode Renegade and Excalibur last Saturday and didn't see anything.

Seems like some users in this thread think that we'll be getting a Triotech dark ride next year, potentially in the Bumper Car building. I wouldn't mind getting one of those, but has there been any actual evidence that it might be happening?
