  1. Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi
  2. That's too bad that they were running 1 train on so many coasters and all those breakdowns. The cold weather really messed everything up I was planning on going tomorrow but with the forecast saying it will feel like it is in the upper 20's and lower 30's, I don't think that's going to happen especially since they might decide to not run any coasters.
  3. Some good and bad news: I just want to say Hershey has great customer service, I got this reply back when I e-mailed them about coasters being closed: "Hello, Thank you for writing. Based on current weather forecasts we are anticipating that the Great Bear, Flying Falcon, Lightning Racer, and Wildcat are going to be unavailable for parts if not all of the upcoming weekend. Additionally, Comet, sooperdooperLooper, Sidewinder, Storm Runner, Trailblazer, Wild Mouse, Rodeo may also open late and/or close early. To make up for these closures we are going to open the following attractions: Rolling Rovers Music Express Whip Ferris Wheel Pony Parade Granny Bugs Miniature Train (Availability TBD) Merry Derry Dip Hershey Entertainment and Resorts" Interesting that they anticipated to have Midway America open even though it was not listed. I was looking forward to Great Bear but it's not a big deal though they just changed the forecast to 19 mph winds on Sunday so it could be too cold to even go (at least for me).
  4. $7.39 for a small slice of pizza and a soda? Wow, that's almost as bad as SF's pricing for food.
  5. This is just another thing to add to the list of things I am not happy with what Hershey has done with Dutch Wonderland since they bought the park. First they got rid of Old Engine 99 which was one of my favorite rides when I was a kid. They lowered the maximum height limit on some kiddie rides (doesn't matter to me personally but I would be annoyed if I was a kid that was now not allowed to go on a ride that I used to be able to enjoy), they took the train ride tunnel with the scenes of the kids playing in all 4 weather seasons and replaced it with a generic mining scene. The new paint job on Sky Princess is one of the worst I have ever seen and this name change just makes it worse. It's only a name but Kingdom Coaster sounds so dull and plain.
  6. I'd like to see the same Sega development company who made Decathalete and Winter Heat on Saturn make this game since I think those are the 2 best Olympic type games I have played.
  7. That's good to hear they have just as much room, at the end of last season I was able to fit into a regular B&M invert seat but barely (the ops had to buckle it). Since then I have lost close to 20 pounds so I am sure that won't be an issue anymore but I was really concerned I might not be able to ride either KK or SR (not too optimistic about ET and possibly Nitro).
  8. I'm curious about KK as well. I read online somewhere that Hershey has a sign up for SR saying if you are over 6'3" or over 225 pounds you will most likely not fit and KK and SR have the same restraints.
  9. I at least hope there will be multiple train operations on most coasters. At HP in the Dark, LR was only running 1 train on each side which caused the wait to be 35 minutes and it probably would have been around 15 with all trains running. 1 train on a ride like Great Bear or SR could really slow those lines down.
  10. I'm going on the 8th if the weather is ok. I went last year on the Saturday and it was way too crowded. Storm Runner had a full queue and even Sooperdooperlooper looked to have at least a 20 minute wait (and that ride is always a walk on or short wait when 2 trains are running). I remember seeing Derek's photo TR last year and the park looked to be empty on Easter last year so I am hoping it will be this year as well. I hope at least Wildcat is open because I really want to try the ride with the new trains. Even if it's not, my 3 favorites are open (Comet, Sooperdooperlooper and Great Bear) so I'll be happy just getting on some coasters.
  11. Really? When it debuted at SFO 6 years ago it was a hit and had 3 hour lines for the whole first year. Plus it will debute as the East Coasts fastest inverted coaster. Dorney gets more riders than expected. Yeah the coasters are walk ons most of the time (except summer weekends and Saturday Halloweekends) but Talon had over 1,000,000 riders (or gave over 1,000,000 rides) in 2005 and Hydra had slightly less
  12. A lot of people refer to the park as Disney Studios because I think it was called that at one point. It was originally Disney MGM Studios, they dropped the name MGM and later added it back.
  13. MGM looked jammed. I would have thought the waits wouldn't have been that bad. I usually only see that outdoor queue for Star Tours used over Christmas week.
  14. The other parks for the most part have better operations than most SF parks and also don't have the Flashpass (except for Disney with Fastpass but that's free so I see it as being different). I just see this as one more way lines will be longer even if the impact is minimal because lines are usually worse to begin with.
  15. But why should someone have to pay extra in order to enjoy their day? I'm using my home SF park as Great Adventure as an example. I'm a non SP holder. Admission is $45.99 printing out a ticket online, parking is $15 so it's $61 just to get in to the park (no more free safari this year so that's another $10 as well if someone wants to go to the safari). Then because SF can't run their rides at close to full capacity (1 train on Rolling Thunder when it can run 4, 2 out of 4 trains on Kingda Ka etc), someone is forced to spend another $40 - $60. I know it can be argued that you aren't forced to get a Q-Bot but it seems neccessary. With Kingda Ka running 2 trains, I heard that 1 train was dedicated solely to flashpass users and on the non flash pass train, 2 rows were for the VIP program (similar to this new one but it was only for 4 hours in past years). That means someone without a flashpass is stuck waiting for a ride that is running less than 1 train for them.
  16. But that person having a better day is having a better day at the expense of those who don't have the Q-Bot for whatever reason.
  17. I have a problem with this at SF parks more than other parks because of Flashpass/Q-Bot. At CF parks or Hershey, they don't have a virtual queue system which slows down the lines at SF so the impact isn't as bad at other parks. Standby lines are already made a lot worse with Flashpass at SF parks and this will just add to standby lines.
  18. I hate those card systems at arcades. Everyone I have been to charges an odd amount of points for each game so you are stuck with leftover points that aren't enough for a game and they tend to be more expensive that regular arcades. Hopefully that won't be the case here
  19. The only issue I have with it is if it was the opposite and it was a guys only night, there would probably be a lot more complaining and it would probably be changed instantly. I also agree with an above post saying if it's a public pool and not a private club, they shouldn't have that type of rule.
  20. Nice to hear SF is keeping there word about running all trains on the coasters , they said the same thing last year and of course lied about that too.
  21. I really hope they keep their word about running multiple trains since they said the same thing last year and it didn't work out (1 train on RT most of the time?!)
  22. McDonald's isn't even that bad compared to other restaurants. You could get a double cheeseburger, small fries and a small diet soda and it's under 40 grams of fat. An individual sized deep dish cheese pizza at Uno's has 104 grams of fat! I don't eat fast food much anymore ( 1 - 2 times a month) because I am trying to lose weight but I don't want someone telling me what I can and cannot eat.
  23. I could see the Eurofighter being the Avatar coaster. Avatar is popular with people much older than Nick's target age range (I heard the show is targeted to 6 - 11 year olds)
