Nice work there fleastcoaster. I didn't even think of checking the page edges when I got the email. This is the first time I have followed along with the build up to HHN, and I am very impressed with the amount of work they put in to the site and the cases. Hopefully more will start to appear from the private detective that wrote the letter in the email. - Andrew "Its not to far away Shawn" Janes

La Ronde visit planned
coaster_dude2002 replied to gk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Since it is your first time it may be a good idea to get a flash pass. Being a Monday crowds should be decent, however it is a long weekend for those who live in Ontario and I'm not sure if that would have an affect on La Ronde. Also Montreal can be a pretty confusing city to drive in, the drivers can be a little nuts, and if I remember correctly the exit to the park is on a bridge and can be easy to miss. A GPS and/or detailed instructions should help. -
I must have some amazing bathing suit then. This certainly is a tough situation. If the family does decide to sue I'm not sure how it would go. It is both the families responsibility to check their own weight, as well as the lifeguard's to enforce the rule. It would be tough for the lifeguard to tell if the family was over the weight limit since it wasn't too much more than the 700 pounds posted. I agree with all the comments on having scales to weigh the riders if their safety is in question.

Congrats on 100,000 page views Tomi. Your character creator is pretty cool. It was a bit confusing at first, but I eventually got the hang of it, and I think it kind of resembles me. A few more background objects would be cool to really personalize things, maybe trees and such. -
Anyone here have a GPS navigator?
coaster_dude2002 replied to Movieguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
With the Garmin units you just plug them in to your PC or MAC and run an update program. It brings up a list of updates for your GPS such as new languages (voice, and text), as well as any map updates. Just click install and within a few minutes its all set to go. I managed to get the 2009 map update for free because I purchased my unit (pre loaded with 2008) just after the release of the new maps. I'm not entirely sure how long you can receive the free updates though. Additional maps of Europe and other countries can be purchased for about $150. They come on SD memory card which you just plug in to the side of the unit. -

I have a Garmin Nuvi 250. Haven't had any issues with it after 2 months of use. The 250 is a good option if you want a basic GPS unit, it has lots of attractions, restaurants, hotel, and other places built right in. I think it was about $200-250 from Best Buy. Watch out with the TomTom units in north america. They use the Tele Atlas mapping data which is not very accurate or complete. Garmin uses NAVTEQ maps and they are far better than the Tele Atlas ones. For some really good reviews of GPS units check out this GPS magazine site. www.gpsmagazine.com/ -

Just some random photos I have taken from the past few years using a Fuji Finepix s7000. Corner of Stuart St. and Charles St. S. in Boston. I took this one from the edge of the balcony in my hotel room. Clock in the Musée d'Orsay, Paris France. Rock formations in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Small geyser erupting in Yellowstone.

Most Overrated coaster?

Legend at Holiday World, and Megaphobia at Oakwood. Megaphobia wasn't horrible, but not as spectacular as I was told. -

Great TR so far Divv! Djurs Sommerland looks like an awesome park, and those off road go-karts sounds like a ton of fun. Can't wait to see the rest. - Andrew -

Gas Prices where you live
coaster_dude2002 replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Prices spiked in Toronto at the end of last week. Most stations in my area are up to $1.35/Liter. If I did the conversions properly it works out to $5.10/gal! I don't even want to think about how high gas prices will go when July and August hit. -

^ What are you talking about? I haven't had a burger thats been burnt to a crisp in the city. Perhaps you should go to Lick's for their awesome, made the way you want, non-crispy burgers. ^^ Thanks for posting the City TV clip, it would have been great if they could have had some on-ride video Jenn's ride.
