  1. Hey Larry, I was at Lightwater Valley last weekend and looked for the ride sign on Twister. I honestly don't think they have one! There was noting near the ride, and no indication of where the entrance was, just a path through some plants.
  2. I'm glad to see they will be using those buildings across from Pop Century. The larger suites sound really nice for a value resort.
  3. The centre was good fun. Nothing big, but they packed a lot of activities in for the kids. Plus there looks to be some room to change things around like the "Lego Universe" section. The two of us spent about 2 hours there, but a family could probably spend a whole afternoon. After the factory tour you could wander and do whatever you wanted as often as you wished, even the shooting dark ride. Also it looks like we were guests 108 and 109 in to the centre! I wonder how busy it will be on the weekends.
  4. ^There is always a way Steve... I'm surprisingly looking forward to checking this out.
  5. First Park: Adventure Island First Coaster and New Coaster: Rage at Adventure Island First New Park: Adventure Island First Food Bought: Can't remember
  6. Another great visit to Blackpool. The new dodgems really can't compare to the old ones Dave. Slow, small area to drive, and far to many cars. I think there were about 10 or 11 cars on the floor and you didn't have to go far to hit someone, and there were 4 cars off to the side! No chance for someone to have a repeat of "Dodgems girl" from '08 Don't forget the call from Reflex!
  7. They really are going all out for this maze. ^^Steve I'm grossed out from that news story as well.
  8. Epic weekend, and even without a park it was good fun. Canal street was great, and yes I did hold the drinks well, slowly working up to being a full Brit now. Steve, as Dave said you have used up the allowance of ditching weekends, especially my first one in the UK
  9. Still another three weeks until my next school term starts. Looking forward to it actually and a decent set of classes. - Waste management principals - Natural disasters and disturbances - Soils and environmental change - Population, health and wellbeing
  10. 1. What are your initial thoughts? - I think this could be a good idea 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? - not really 3. Is this something that interests you? - It does interest me 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? - The credit for the TPR store. I haven't purchased anything from it so far, but if that $15 could be counted towards a TPR trip then its all good! 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. - Im not really interested in a news letter or anything of that sort.
  11. Finished putting the tree up last night. The first time in years it has all gone up in one day. Usually we take one day to assemble the tree, and the next for decorations. 17ft of fake Christmas tree fun!
  12. Another outstanding update Divv! Powerpark was a great surprise on the trip. I really enjoyed it and the TPR Grand Prix was a blast. Lou and I in the tandem was quite the laugh, especially since Lou did have her own steering wheel and peddles (thankfully they didn't work!). The sun not setting that night was also a cool experience, the geography geek in me was much amused! Looking forward to the next instalment!
  13. Oh wow I think this just made my day. Steve can certainly move on the dance floor and I'm still impressed after watching the video. It was honestly one the best nights on the trip for me, and the two pint limit was passed not problem. Another great update Divv. Bring on Finland!!
  14. Im totally in! I say we go back this spring before I head back to Canada.
  15. Another outstanding update Divv! I absolutely loved Grona Lund and can't wait to get back there sometime. The certainly did roll out the red carpet and the free beer was great! Insane was well, INSANE! and an amazing ride. I still have fun memories of the one ride where we did 8 or 9 flips and ended up returning to the station upside down. We need more of these coasters!
  16. Another great update Divv! Liseberg was an awesome park and I can't wait to get back there. Although I may avoid the log flume with 4 people, I just remember a wall of water pouring over Larry and right on to me. Balder was insane that morning and even more that night. Moved right to the top of my favourites.
  17. What a morning indeed Divv! That was honestly the best morning of the trip hands down. When do you get to have free beer for breakfast at 10am??? Then after a couple of beers (under two pints of course ) they let you ride Balder! I'm a bit shocked everyone survived lol. Can't wait to see part 2 of Liseberg!
  18. Wow that was an impressive set up for the show! Glad to see you all had a fun time. I think its time for a snacky snack snack right now.
  19. Great update and video Robb. That was a fun morning! The tandem kart Lou and I was great for driving, we didn't spin out, and she even got her own set of peddles and a free spinning wheel! When I moved to the single kart though it was scary how much speed these things had and how easy it was to spin out. Having our hotel room look out on the first turn and watching people race made Power Park is an amazing place. Can we go back to Finland yet??
  20. Great update yet again Divv. That was honestly the most fun I've ever had in torrential downpours and general rain all day. Fire School was certainly a lot of fun, but man is it exhausting. Can't wait for the next update.
  21. Steve, this is exactly why I'm coming over in the new year. Would I ever lie about something being terrifying? Alien war will only be a behind the scenes look at the how the film was made, honest. Sounds like you all had a great weekend at Alton. It looks like they really put on quite the show for the mazes at halloween.
  22. Another great update Divv! Bringing back memories of being the first to order at Subway and having to figure out the names for all the toppings in German. The random language lesson between the staff and me was quite fun. Although my German is now limited to hello, fast, no, and some vegetables from Subway! Or as Fudge 1 would say: "Schnelle schnelle Kartoffel" The Irish pub was good fun as well, and you can't beat McFudge for entertainment!
  23. ^We did not cheat our way through that puzzle, Brad and I just improvised a bit since the last challenge was impossible to do... It is a shame you TPMissed it though.
