  1. Python- Busch Gardens Africa (Tampa)
  2. ^I've noticed with MF that sometimes I get "meh" rides, and other times it's great! I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed the same thing or if it's just me.
  3. I don't see the SFA Ragin Cajun and Mardi Gras themed area mentioned.
  4. The Arrow sweeping drop on Phantom's Revenge, SFMM Viper, and Shockwave and GASM is my all time favorite looking element. The Control Tower Keyhole on X-Flight looks really nice, too, as do the keyholes on GateKeeper. Skyrush and Mavericak are probably my 2 favorite looking coasters as a whole.
  5. Almost anywhere but Chicagoland- though the Goliath announcement does make it a bit better!! South Central PA and Central Florida would be my 2 top choices.
  6. Goliath, Medusa Steel, Banshee, Falcon's Fury, then the Jumanji drop tower.
  7. ^^The Z-Force/Iron Wolf station will be used- in the video posted by Scott on the previous page Hank Salemi confirms this. He also said the trains were designed by RMC as well, so I'd expect them to be similar to the Outlaw Run trains. Has anyone heard anything about a closure date for Ragin Cajun? I'd assume that being so small it will run through the end of the season, though I'm surprised the park hasn't yet confirmed its removal.
  8. Awesome that there will be a SFGAm TPR trip!! Hopefully I'll be able to make it up there, even if it's just for that day!. I haven't been on an RMC yet, it's pretty awesome the first one I will get on will be in my home park, I'm super excited! I can't wait for Goliath's opening day, I can already feel the sickness coming on that will cause me to miss work that day. As already mentioned, if you get to the park before opening and make Goliath your first ride of the day, the wait will be under 30 minutes no problem.
  9. As expected, the Six Flags announcement brought out the idiots on Facebook. Here's a couple gems posted to Six Flags Great America's page in the comments for the Goliath announcement: What??? There were plenty of people thinking this Goliath is a clone of various other Goliath coasters
  10. Looks like you guys are right. In the picture Robb posted of the "inverted zero-g stall" it does look like topper track. This looks like a great coaster!
  11. First of all want to thank Robb for getting up so early and posting all the info! I can't believe SFGAm is finally building something so big! I can't wait to ride Goliath!! It looks sorta like I-Box track in the videos. Is it I-Box, or just topper track painted orange?
  12. ^Nice!! I'm planning to go the 13th and 14th of September, maybe I should just push it back a day? I'm assuming Saturday the 14th will be bad, how do you guys think Friday the 13th will be?
  13. Mine is a picture of the hilarious sign the ride ops put in the control booth of Deja Vu during it's last day operating at SFGAm.
  14. ^Thanks for posting those! I read them a few years ago, and as you said, they are hilarious. The video the OP put up was cool, too. Action Park sounds pretty legendary. The Tanks sound like the coolest amusement park attraction ever!
  15. ^^That sounds accurate. I waited for Raging Bull in 99 when the line was right at the train bridge, and I believe it took right around 3 hours. Now that I'm older and "wiser" (though I don't act like it), I'd never wait 3 hours for any coaster. However, I disagree that Flash Pass makes the lines any longer. Before it was offered, all the people using it were in the regular queue instead.
  16. I've always enjoyed Cajun, it can give out some insane rides!! I'll definitely miss it. ^^The ride program Six Flags installed is why it could never run all 8 cars at once. Dark Knight also never runs all 10. With the program both of them have, it is REALLY easy to get them to set up, and probably only the best of crews could run them at their designed capacity, if at all. I have no doubt it was a corporate thing, SFGAm had no say in it at all.
  17. Why would anyone even want a B&M wood coaster? 15 years ago it would've been nice, but if they built one now it would meander through the course and have trims on every hill.
  18. Andrew W. K. - I Get Wet
  19. Then it would need to double its maintenence staff. What if Vekoma's wheels all touched the track at the same time?
  20. I voted Kingda Ka because the launch is by far the most intense moment I've ever experienced on a coaster, and I loved it. TTD's launch is good as well, and although smoother, didn't feel quite as powerful as KK's- though still insane!! The t-bar restraints are a plus, too. I understand why KK and TTD don't have more elements than they do, but it would be nice! Storm Runner also has a fun launch, and unlike the first 2 I listed, it actually "does stuff" after its launch and top hat! It is a fantastic coaster, and all 3 rank very high on my list of favorites.
  21. I actually loved Son of Beast, and I like Mean Streak, too.
  22. Jack Rabbit at Kennywood- 1920.
  23. ^A Krusty Fun House and Tree House of Horrors would both be amazing HHN attractions. The whole Simpsons are looks fantastic! I really have to get back to Florida sometime soon.
  24. ^Nice!! I love the GT40 in the first pic, you definitely don't see those very often!
